Our tour guide Josh is witty and awesome. He made the long trip to Artic circle fun. We were a party of 8 and were picked up at our hotel. We had a great snack pack and didnt even eat everything in it. We hit the Dalton Hwy, artic circle, Yukon river, finger mountain park, and more. Unfortunately it started to snow and clouds moved in so we didn’t see the northern lights. Mother Nature at work. But Josh found us some moose to see, wild berry bushes, and shared personal stories and just made the trip enjoyable. He is a talented driver and we had the utmost confidence in him to tackle the challenging dalton hwy to the artic circle. Highly recommend you ask for Josh as your tour guide!

This was a long excursion, culminating with looking at a sign - but it was interesting with the stops and commentary that accompanied. Justin did a great job and even showed us where wild blueberries were growing at one of the stops. And, we ended up in the Arctic Circle :)

By far, the best part was seeing the northern lights. Tips would include bringing layers of warm clothing. Josh was an outstanding guide. He was knowledgeable, helpful and patient. I never once felt rushed on this tour as I have on others.

Trip was great. Driver Joe picked up on time. Gave us lots of information on the drive and stopped anytime we asked for pictures. I was traveling solo, yet never felt lonely. The beauty of Alaska is amazing. Thanks Joe!😁

It was a really good trip. Joseph was excellent. It is a long drive, but we had many stops so you don’t feel the time. Excellent views and things to learn. A little bumpy road. I would recommend it to every one who travels to Fairbanks.

We had Shawn as our driver to theArctic circle it was snowing heavily and part of the roads were in bad shape He was a very good and careful driver Has keen eyes to spot wildlife
Despite the poor road conditions, he made our trip pleasant and stopped often for breaks
When we got to the arctic circle le sign, the clouds cleared, stopped snowing and the sun emerged
That was the best chance for us to view the northern lights
Unfortunately Shawn refused to stay , as we were supposed to go back to the lodge in Fairbanks where it was snowing , to view the northern lights
Jason the owner was really very understanding. He agreed to refund part of the amount .
I will recommend this trip highly in spite of the poor condition the weather.
Appreciated the owner with a compassionate attitude

What a awesome day!!! Josh is a absolutely great tour guide and safe driver. He is very experienced, told us about Alaska, patiently answered all our questions. We learned a lot about Alaska. On our way back to hotel, he stopped 3 different places, where he thinks the best spots for the northern lights. He helped us to take good pictures in the very cold temperatures. I’m very thankful. I highly recommend this tour company and this excellent tour guide.

We had the Arctic Tour scheduled for today, and another tour for Friday, the 17th. Unfortunately my husband became ill and we flew home Tuesday night, 3/13. I called them to cancel both tours due to medical reason. I was told there are no refunds. I reread my email confirmation and website info, and could not see any refund policy. I did notify the company, but was not offered any type of reimbursement compensation. Doesn’t seem correct.

Hi Buckielf,
We were sorry to hear that your husband had become ill and the 2 of you were not able to join our tours. We do have a non-refundable policy unless we were to cancel the tour. This policy is told to all of our guests who book over the phone and it is on our website for guests to read prior to making an online reservation. In addition to notifying guests of our policy prior to payment, we also include the policy on our confirmation e-mails. If you would like to contact us at our office we can forward your original confirmation e-mail and highlight the refund policy as well as the follow up e-mail that you requested after cancellation. We hope your husband is feeling better.

One of the best trips I ever had. The views were incredible. It really puts the size and beauty of Alaska into perspective. Its a long drive. But the drive makes a few stops along the way. The driver was knowledgeable and very friendly. The van was very comfortable. They had plenty of water. Its really a great trip but I don't think its meant for little kids.

So-get ready for a wild ride from Fairbanks down the Dalton Highway to the Arctic Circle Sign! Yeah-that's pretty much it. But-for bragging rights you gotta do it if you're here. After all you'll never be closer. So be prepared for about a 1230 pickup and then hit the road. There are plenty of stops along the way to stretch your legs, read about the pipeline or stopping at the Yukon River Camp. He's on the lookout for anything and we managed to spot a lynx jumping across the highway. Anyhow's the trip is long, there are a lot of get bundled up, jump out, get back in, unbundle, repeat. But-our driver/guide was Aaron. He's a great guy-and a secret Aurora Borealis seeker society member. Seriously-we stopped, he looked at the sky and said "I see potential" And an hour later we had dancing light shows going crazy. Sometimes you get the Northern Lights, sometimes you don't. It is a show sponsored by Mother Nature. They provided SubWay sandwiches for the day trip. We were dropped off back at our hotel at 3:15am. Oh yeah-when you see the gas gauge hit empty, don't worry-there's a 5-gallon jerry can for reserve.

Is lunch available somewhere along route? We are both Gluten Free (medically; not fad or diet) & must be careful.

I am gluten free, but not celiac. I don't have a bad reaction to gluten, but I do have some reaction. I recommend you take food with you. Most of what's available is sandwiches and pie, etc. Not GF.

Only to select hotels. You'd have to call the company to see what hotels they drop off at.

Hi, we are thinking of doing this before our cruise. How much hiking is involved? Would love to go to the Arctic Circle but a little nervous about the hiking :) Thanks! Cheryl

Very little walking on the frequent stops. You can choose to walk around or stay near bus. Easy for any age. The bus is a bumpy ride though if that makes a difference.

We will be going to Barrow. Is it worthwhile to also do the Arctic Circle tour?
