- alexisbU5328FG0 contributionsBest ghost tour! This was the coolest ghost tour I have been on. They give you cool gear and an in depth history. Christine was awesome and couldn’t recommend it more! Definitely will come back and do another tour with them. Even got some cool evidence to capture and some pics to look back on. Super cool!Written September 18, 2024
- TheMadDawg0 contributionsWas a fun timeWe had Olivia. We had a good time and it was entertaining. The group interacted well. Make sure you have Olivia shower the wild sugar gliders in a square. They are nocturnal and cool to watch gliders from tree to tree. Also we were able to see a figure with the FLIR (infrared) camera at the top of the stairs to one of the locations. It was not there to the nakid eye but the flir picked it up. I even went up the stairs and stood by it and put my arm out towards it and it moved to confirm there was something there. I added screen shots of the flir device for you to see. An interesting walk. When back home and watched a program on expedition x about Savannah ghosts that I wish I watched before hand. Very interesting.Written September 11, 2024

- glendap6720 contributionsThis tour was all the wraith! The Oni tour you need.A real specter. Our tour guide Olivia is passionate about her work with spirits. She was sensitive to them, to us, and history of the area. The tour itself included history of the buildings while utilizing hands on spirit detectors. My 11 year old was not scared, so it was family appropriate. We had a good time walking around Savannah. Set your detectors to fun, and you’re sure to have a sighting!Written July 26, 2024
- A4040BAmaryb0 contributionsDisappointing No-ShowBooked the tour for my granddaughter and myself - really looking forward to it. Got to the meeting place (yes, we double- triple-checked we were in the right place/right time) 20 minutes early. The tour was to start at 7pm, no one showed up, so we left at 7:15. Called the contact number - it ring, then disconnect. Called Viator for refund - they confirmed that my time/location was correct. Disappointing an 11-yr-old is really shameful. Hope the refund doesn't take too long :-(Written June 30, 2024
- 104hamadim0 contributionsThe best part of the tour was the fact it rained all night and the tour was outsideMy wife and I love scary movies. We have been to Halloween Horror Nights every year since we met. I proposed to her after a ghost tour in St. Augustine. So, when I found out her family reunion this year was in Savannah, one of the most haunted cities, I begged her to go on a ghost tour. She booked with this one and convinced several of her cousins to come. Our tour was so bad, I don't think I'm going to to go on a ghost tour ever again after this. The guides didn't try to get to know us. No "where are you from" or "how do you like Savannah?" No one showed us how to use the equipment they gave us. It got to the point where our group of seven looked around and realized that we were supposed by other tours and every other tour looked like they were having more fun than us. We left early.Written June 23, 2024

- Paula M0 contributionsFind something cheaperMicah was a great historian. We loved hearing about the history of the building. John was his helper and it seemed a little odd that in the 90 degree heat he was wearing a sweatshirt with a front pocket. We couldn’t help but wonder if he was controlling the remotes for some of the gadgets. All in all in was a fun night, but not worth the money.Written May 28, 2024
- monicavX6416GP0 contributionsMoon river AMAZINGMy husband and I started with the theater tour then decided to do Moon river. If I have any recommendation, do moon river last!! It is truly a different experience! Aries and Chris were amazing! They made the experience engaging, and light hearted. Aries did an amazing job explaining the history of the building and helping us and the group get the most out of our experience! I would recommend this tour to anyone! And I will definitely be booking moon river again when I visit as long as Aries is apart of the experience!!Written May 22, 2024
- meredithw6900 contributionsLook no further...Christine was an excellent guide... it was just my friend and I on the tour so we really got to hear all the stories and spend as much time as we needed investigating about. We walked to many of the squares and houses throughout the city and she had stories about all of them. It never felt as if she was reading from scripted notes (as we did hear in some of the bus tours passing us by)... instead she told the stories in a comfortable conversation, answered our questions and made great conversation. On an unrelated note... our guide was also stopped quite often by people who could not find their tour they signed up for... so just a warning, there are a ton of tours going on all over the city... This company sent us a text, and Christina was right where they said she would be, and we were told her name and what she would be carrying so we could identify her. I feel bad for the people who seemed stranded with no phone number or name ... this was certainly NOT the case with us! A+ tour and company for sure!!!Written May 14, 2024
- A2490LJamys0 contributionsIf you can stay up late this is a great way to experience Sanannah’s spooky history.Fun especially if you are a believer in ghosts. I’m not sure I was but I might be now. 😀 Micah, Courtney and Kaitlyn were great guides.Written May 5, 2024
- mlc3170 contributionsDive into the supernaturalMicah and Courtney were phenomenal. They took time to help with equipment and explained the history, not to mention they're hilarious. We have semi-pros and novices in our group and we got a lot of activity. We separated for a bit in groups and some of the information we gathered had connections. I myself had a few "encounters". For anyone who's even remotely interested, take the tour.Written May 4, 2024
- mathewl2970 contributionsGreat experience with a well trained staff. My wife and I decided to do the Moon River paranormal investigation. I am a seasoned vet when it comes to Ghost hunting, and have to say other than it being set up in a different format than I am used to, we had a great time! They guides were knowledgeable in the history, and would answer any and all questions. They even made adjustments to the night to accommodate myself and my service dog in training. All in all great experience and we look forward to exploring the Theater next time.Written May 3, 2024
- 802brieannec0 contributionsThe BEST Savannah Paranormal Experience! We had the BEST time on The Moon River Investigatio tour. The building is beautiful and so creepy! Our tour guides were amazing and we learned so much about the history if the building and the ghost hunting equipment. It was awesome to use the equipment and actually get to interact with spirits. Definitely recommend this tour! It was so different than any tour we've done in Savannah! So unique and definitely not just a "tour", it was an experience!Written April 28, 2024

John and Mike are great! My husband and I joined them for the 3 hour investigation and we loved every minute of it. If you’re thinking about doing this and you’re not sure what to expect let me help you out. You show up, you get a run down of equipment, and then you decide if you want to investigate the building alone, with the group, or in small groups. There were about 9 other people with us and it was totally fine. Not too crowded, we had plenty of space to investigate. Mike and John feel authentic, kind, and passionate about the paranormal but also the history. They put a lot of research into the theatre. Not only would I do this again and again, I would pay more for the tickets. It’s a hell of a deal. In general this kind of activity attracts people who believe in it since it’s a 3 hour night time thing. Everyone who came were really into it and that made it all the better! If you like to watch ghost adventures on TV, you’ll have a great time!

This was my second trip to Savannah. My first trip I did a ghost tour, so this trip I definitely wanted something that packed a little more punch. I figured what better time to go then halloweekend, right? I’m not going to lie, I initially tried to book an investigation with the Sorrel-Weed house but was turned away due to staffing & told to call back in a week to see if they were going to be doing the tour.
This is where I believe things happen for a reason. I didn’t want to push my luck and wait it out, so I decided to do some searching on what other investigations might be offered. This is where I found Truth in Evidence. I read the reviews here and booked it immediately.
I am SO glad I booked this investigation. From the start you could easily tell that the guys that put this on are truly passionate in what they do. Mike gives a great overview on the history of the theater & explains the equipment well. We then split into smaller groups to go into some of the hot spot areas of activity, but they encourage you to break off to investigate on your own as well. I broke off pretty early on and mostly stayed in the aisle of the theater where I was picking up on some high emf levels.
Overall, it was such a great experience from start to finish. I could spend an entire night in the theater investigating. I highly encourage anyone to book this tour, even if you’re a solo traveler! I’m already looking into my next trip to Savannah to come back for another investigation with TIE. Hey, maybe monthly trips are in the cards?😂 I do look forward to the potential of some overnight investigations being added in the future, because I am there!

If you’ve ever wondered what it was like to do a ghost hunt this is for you. The team started with giving us a history of the building and explained the different sightings. We were then given equipment and sent to different locations in the theatre.
The amount of activity we had was crazy! I would do this tour anytime I come to Savannah.

This was an absolutely amazing experience! My mother and I really enjoyed meeting Micah and John. They are so knowledgeable, kind and personable. They not only educate you on the history of the building, but they take the time to show you how to operate all of their equipment also. They truly make it so that it is your own experience. I highly highly recommend them!

First let me say the guides were very nice and gave excellent historical lecture. They even went on to show us past paranormal activity on video. However, our group had no activity other than sounds coming from machines that were words that made no sense. It really sounded like it was picking up reverb from a bar across the street as I kept hearing music in the sound. The only time the light machine lit up with (a presence) was when the tour guide was with us. It is a very long tour and would be nice if they offered water and a snack, or advised that we could bring our own. I think the funniest thing was listening to all of us talking and encouraging ghost to interact with us and probably is a hoot for them to look back and listen too. I only gave two stars because we didn’t see anything and I was very thirsty.

Loved every bit of this. We (a group of 8 people) scheduled one last night and they were able to squeeze us in with it. We had the best time. They tell you obviously you may not have something happen every time but from the time we were even just going over equipment their monitors had orbs going across the screens. All of our group had the best time and plan on coming back to take either this tour or another one they offer again because we enjoyed it so much. Definitely worth the money.

Cat was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the theatre, all the paranormal lore, and offered ways to get started with our equipment. She shared clips and sound bites of occurrences in the theatre. Aries was kind, knowledgeable, and helpful as well. The only real talking we heard was random words, names, and music coming from the spirit box on stage right. All other areas lacked any real interaction on the devices. It was a fun evening with great investigators, other groups, and the family. I would definitely recommend!

Absolutely the most fun I've had during a ghost tour or investigation.
My wife and I normally enjoy taking a ghost tour whenever we go on vacation as a fun way to learn about some of the darker side of history and get a few scares while we're at it. Since we've done the basic tours before here in Savannah, we were looking for something a bit more exciting.
After careful research and consideration, we decided to book with Truth in Evidence. I have to say, if you are remotely interested in ghosts or the paranormal, this is a MUST DO!
To start, our guides for the evening were John and Micah. Both were not only incredibly personable, but super knowledgeable about this historical theatre. We were given a tour and even did a practice exercise so that we got a feel for what was in store for the rest of the evening.
Once completed, we were asked which instruments/devices we wanted to use and were sent on our way to freely explore the theatre at will. Words cannot describe the true feeling of excitement and adrenaline experienced, but all I can say is I will definitely be coming back again.
P.S. - I added a snippet of a video that was recorded while we were there. The video was captured by the only other couple on the investigation with us that night. Micah can be seen in the front, off the stage. There's a slither of light to the left of the yellow circle which is from my flashlight backstage. The figure in the yellow circle is an apparition.

The tour was awesome….Mike did a great job of explaining and telling the stories. He showed some evidence and took us through all the spots. When we went in a quick change room off to the side of the stage my son and I heard a huuuuuuuuu like breathing or sighing 3 times. We communicated through ghost box and Evps, heard some replies through the white noise box also had rem pod go off a few times. Can’t wait to see if we caught anything significant when they review all cameras and evps. These guys were awesome! Loved how they let us go off on our own! Definitely would do again with these guys!

When my daughter and I did this in May there were only the two of us and another couple. But if I remember correctly they mentioned that they could have up to 16 people. We went on a Sunday night.

the investigation seems to end around 1:30AM I will be staying by the river will I have problems with getting UBER or a cab?
Written August 5, 2022
We stayed in the Andaz near city market, almost the river, and walked when it was over (around 10 minutes) We never saw a cab come by so i would definitely make sure you had something set up ahead of time if walking isn't an option.

I'm not sure what the business (Truth in Evidence) will say--they may only allow adults because of liability issues, the cost of their equipment, etc. If kids are allowed, in my opinion as a parent, I think my kids would've had a great time. Each child is different, though, and you know your child best. There are stories told about how people died within the theater, and this includes some sad, scary, and graphic details. The investigation is conducted in the dark and there are some areas that can be dangerous. This wouldn't be appropriate for a child who is easily scared or a child who would be loud and/or not listen to and follow the rules TIE staff establish. I would recommend that you contact TIE to get a definitive answer, 912-662-5928.
