        Old Savannah Tours are amazing!
Our driver, Arthur, was very entertaining and provided the history of Savannah while pointing out each building. We feel like the tour was worth the cost and definitely highlighted Savannah. Thanks Arthur for the great time.! Kelce&Janet

        Great overview!
This tour is a good overview of Savannah. It’s a great starting place if you are new to the city and then you can decide which places to explore further on your own.

False Promise/ Confusion regarding last trolley
I was told to call for transport if we needed a transport instead of trolly and left a voicemail which was never returned. The posted time for end of service at the Riverfront was 5:00 pm, but we were told 6:00 pm. We left the stand and missed a trolley that did pass by after 5:00 pm. We were left in the rain to find other transportation.

        Enjoyable Tour
We stayed on the trolley almost all the way around and enjoyed the history lesson the guide gave us. It was later in the afternoon so we got off to walk around the last stop at the City Market and enjoyed the area. Would do it again.

        Disappointed
Awful experience. Called for van pickup to take us to the visitor center to transfer to the trolley. they indicated that they would arrive about 9:30. About 10:00 they still hadn’t arrived. Called again and agent said she would send a van. After about 20 minutes it arrived. Also, a trolley stop map was not provided. Wasn’t clear where the 14 trolley stops were. Think we would have been better to use Old Town Trolley.

Great way to see the city!
Open air trolly with 14 stops. Shuttles available to skip stops or go to certain stop. Informative and fun. Characters hop on and off and add historic information about the stops. Great value.

THE VERY BEST HISTORICAL TOUR thanks to driver/guide ARTHUR.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
11-12-2024: Driver/Guide ARTHUR was exceptional, knowledgeable, and funny. The ten of us neighbors from Myrtle Beach all agreed that we were fortunate to land Arthur as our tour guide. He spoke clearly so that we understood every history tidbit he shared. Arthur also seemed to take his time at each location to share all that he knows and to get our feedback on historical facts, movie locations, and actors. Before boarding our trolley, some tourists recommended we stay on for the full 90 minutes if we enjoyed our guide. We did just that then hopped another trolley later to return to Forsyth Park and St. John the Baptist Basilica for beautiful photos. SUGGESTION: request Arthur! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Laura & Mark VanValkenburg, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

        Art For The Win
I was in Savannah for tennis (USTA) State Championships and sadly tore my Achilles 6 days prior so didn’t get to play. I decided to go with the team particularly because I had not been to Savannah before. I loved it! A friend and teammate suggested taking this particular tour as a good way to see some highlights and not have to navigate the streets in the dreaded boot. Tickets were reasonably priced, the offered tours were plentiful and our guide, Arthur, was fantastic. He had a lot of of local historical knowledge and even quizzed the riders as we went along. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and especially enjoyed our guide. I highly recommend THIS tour company.

Good tour, no warning about paid parking in Visitor’s center.
We enjoyed the tour but were disappointed to see this on our windshield when we got back to our car. We got a ticket for parking in the visitor center where we boarded the tour bus. They did not warn us that it was paid parking. Cost us $25 for the ticket! Welcome to our city!

        Disappointed
If you just want to ride around on a trolley and see restaurants and tourist spots this is the tour for you. We were hoping to learn about the history of the area and hear stories about the city. Our guide said that he had been doing this for 24 years so we were hopeful at the beginning. But all he pointed out were restaurants and places to shop. He mentioned one building where an author had lived while writing a book but only said “in this building….” so we didn’t know which building he was referring to. We were disappointed.

a fantastic way to get to see a lot of Savannah's history in a short time
Everything about our tour was wonderful and easy. Started with getting our tickets, told where to meet the trolley plus the fantastic driver along with a tour guide who shared so much information that was historical as well as fun and interesting. We highly recommend it as each part of it was so smooth and professional.

        Just OK
The boat portion of the experience was interesting and informative and the tour commentator was excellent. Unfortunately they is portion of the trip was not as enjoyable. The bus operator was hard to understand and he was not specific on what we were supposed to be look at. The line going to get on. The boat was incredibly long and we had ticketing issues as we were asked for a paper voucher which we were never given, and we only had electronic tickets. They were unable to process this and it became a bit of a hassle. All in all a decent experience, but not top-notch!

        Not an informative tour
The staff were very nice, but did not provide very much historical information. They provided some information, but also told tired jokes and gave way too much info on Forest Gump and other pop culture movies, etc. Lots of things that were pointed out were hard to see from the trolly due to street parking. I wouldn’t recommend.

It could have been great, but wasn’t. First, we got a call saying they were overbooked and had to change the date. Then, they booked us on the night of the Shamrock Run, so most of the streets in the historic district were closed, meaning we couldn’t see the sights normally seen on the tour. We were told our tour would be “truncated.” My opinion is if you cannot fulfill your obligations, don’t schedule on that night at all. Finally, the Pirate House meal was horrible. No one in my party could eat the food, and we are not picky eaters. If you were on the ghost tour, your menu options were limited, so I don’t know about the restaurant menu in its entirety. The guide and two ghost actors we did get to see were great, but I’m unhappy that this ghost tour company took my money and didn’t give us what we paid for.

We apologize for your disappointment. Unfortunately, sometimes when you purchase through a third party, they do not let us know, and our tour fills up. The Ghost Tour with dinner is our most popular ghost tour, and it fills up really quickly. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I have participated in ghost tours in most cities I have visited. This tour was okay, primarily if you don't want to walk. It is definitely not a spooky or intimate tour. The trolley is loud and so the guide, despite having a microphone, has to speak loudly to talk over the bus. The tour started with an hour-long drive around the historic district, followed by about an hour stop at the Pirate's house for dinner and a visit down into the "haunted" rum cellar, with an additional short drive with a few more stories before drop-offs. The dinner was okay, but since you are there on a pre-paid tour you have limited menu options. My husband and I both got the fried chicken and we agreed that if we had known it was bone-in we may have gone with another dish. It is a good option of you don't want to walk, like less spooky stories, and have time in your trip to visit many of the other wonderful restaurants that Historic Savannah has to offer. We knew we wanted to eat at the Pirate's House at some point and had already visited several of the other historic restaurants, so this worked for us.

As a lover of ghost tours, my takeaway from this experience is that I don't know if I like trolley tours, personally. However, some people (like my husband) may prefer this to walking and standing for long periods of time...

It is also important to note that as of 9/14, the meeting point listed on Trip Advisor is not correct. They have moved locations, so if you go to the old building you will see a sign on the door directing you to the right spot. Make sure to listen to their directions when they call to confirm your tour.

The operator of this tour should be ashamed that they had the audacity to charge their customers for our tour and dinner on Friday, March 1. To begin with, it is a well-known fact in Savannah that this is the night of a big race so all of the squares and the surrounding streets have been closed down to road traffic. as such, our tour was diverted to neighborhoods away from the squares. In addition, our two hour ghost tour was shortened to 50 minutes. To top it off, when we finally got to the pirate house for dinner, the kitchen lost our orders, and we did not end up getting our food until One hour later. Our food was so late, that we did not have adequate time. to tour the rum cellar. The tour attendant alluded to the fact that the tour company was unaware that the race was going to take place on this night, which is a bunch of crap. This race had to have been planned for months even years in advance, and the fact that they took our money as they did, shortened our trip with total disregard for our time and money is, nothing short of robbery. The tour was disorganized, rushed and obviously thrown together at the last minute. They should never have booked a tour on this specific Friday night, knowing that the race was going to take place and how it would impact their customers experience. Talk about a total rip off! We should be offered a partial refund for their blatant disregard of our time and money spent.

      Hard 1

Do not be fooled by the 4 and 5 star reviews. This was the most boring and generic tour. It briefly mentioned ghosts but mostly it was a generic mentions of a few random Savannah facts. The absolute worst part of this whole experience was the guest service. I received a confirmation call at 11:51am day of to confirm our reservation and meeting spot. We were told to meet at 215 W Boundry at 6:45pm. The representative repeated the time and the address. We showed up at 6:40pm to a hand written sign on the door stating we needed to meet a mile in the direction we just walked from. Now, we’re obviously tourists in a town that is designed to be walked. With that being said, we should not have been told to meet at one place when clearly that building has been closed for a while, then be expected to walk back in the opposite direction. When we called the customer service number Sabrina informed us we should never have been told to meet there as that building is “in disrepair”. She then said she will send a shuttle and hung up on me. I called back to confirm the shuttle only to be hung up on again. I promise you, there are so many better options for tours. Don’t waste your time and money on this less than mediocre “tour” which is essentially the tour guide laughing at his own jokes and telling you to go on other tours that actually go into the houses. And if you this the food and tour of the Pirate House will make it worth it, it doesn’t.

So sorry to hear about your experience. We are sorry for the miscommunication for location. We recently moved our ghost tour meeting point from 215 West Boundary Street to 255 Montgomery St. It happened a few weeks ago, and during that transition, there were likely issues with location. We sincerely apologize for that. We are also very sorry to hear that the tour you were on was generic and boring. We try to provide a fun ghost tour for our guests. Sorry this was not the case here.

We were interested in this particular ghost tour as we wanted an interactive tour that wouldn’t scare our kids too much (ages 10,12). We really enjoyed the trolly ride in downtown Savannah. Overall, we wished the guide would have interspersed a few fun facts about the city in between all the ghost stories. I am giving it 3 stars as we all had a hard time following along with SO MANY ghost stories. The guide jumped from story to story to story… with barely a breath in between all his stories/jokes. We couldn’t tell if he was telling a real story or just setting up a fake story up for his next punchline. I honestly think it all came down to timing, along with information overload - with no time to process each story or joke. Also, some of his jokes were a bit off color… I love comedy and all, but we signed up for a ghost tour, not a comedy tour. All and all the guide was a nice enough guy, Savannah was gorgeous city with lots of history, and the food was delicious (my kids loved the fried chicken and fried shrimp!)

Cheesy, but fun. The night started off with some confusion as to where we sghould catch the shuttle to the trolley tour, when I received a voice mail message and a text message informing me of 2 different locations. All was resolved with a quick phone call to the after hours number. We checked in to the tour office, then waited for the trolley to pull up. When the trolley door opened, one couple got on the trolley, but as we were entering it, the trolley driver fussed at us in a not so friendly manner, and told us we had to wait until the tour operators told us to get on the bus. This was just a little off-putting, but, ok, The tour started, and we were visited by re-enactors along our route while the ghost guide told us paranormal tales as we visited many of the haunted sites around Savannah. At the end of the tour, we had dinner from a limited menu at the Pirate House, and then were dropped off back at our pick up locations. The food was good, albeit too large of serving for my wife and I to finish. Overall it was a good tour.

The crew worked hard to make it entertaining but it was overall corny and the rum cellar is a big let down. I was with my wife for an anniversary trip and we were forced to eat with another group of senior citizens on the trip. So if you get the dinner package make sure you have a group of 6 or they’ll pair you with another group. But the pecan fried chicken was awesome at The Pirates House.

Bailey, our guide was great! She was very funny and her ghost stories were interesting. I think Bailey missed her calling as a stand-up comedian. The tour was a little unorganized at the start and at the end but think that was caused mostly by group of inconsiderate people. One suggestion… the tour needs to emphasize that gratuities at the restaurant ARE NOT included! Seems most people on the tour left their table without leaving tips for their waiter.

My wife and I were excited to do this, especially since Savannah is supposed to be haunted. It is much more of an act than it is a legit ghost tour. From the "voodoo " priestess that climbed aboard our tour bus who had to "cleanse" us by sprinkling salt, to the 3 actors who climbed aboard our bus at certain intervals impersonating a dead person it was less than entertaining and even more important- not informative. The tour guide driving the bus was a good storyteller, but he went on and on. After a while you just tune them out-dinner at the Pirate House was very good, but if you don't like to sit at a table with strangers and have dinner then you won't enjoy it. Lastly,
We thought we were going to be taken into the "rum" cellar and were led to believe right from the parking lot at the start of the tour we would be drinking if you so choose to do so...no bar, nothing but a dimly lit room with some pirate history attached. Just expect this tour to feel more like "pirates of the Caribbean" amusement ride than anything else..

Very good and lots of fun. Tour guide spoke clearly and was respectful as we neared other tours to not speak over them. It would have been nice to walk around a cemetery with stories about sightings. Overall I'm glad we did this tour.
