- Laurin_Black00If you love wine this tour is NOT for youAs a fellow wine lover, I booked this tour hoping to learn about wines from New York State. Unfortunately I learned absolutely nothing and left extremely disappointed. The two tour leaders, whilst very friendly, didn’t teach us anything about Long Island and their wines, including the terroir, climate, common varietals or wine making practices. The first winery, Lenz, sadly only provided three small wine tastings. After that, we had to stay for 90 minutes. The second winery, Raphael, had four wine tastings with a small meat and cheese platter in a plastic box. I’ve never experienced something so common at a wine tasting before. You can buy wine by the glass (like at Lenz), including a Chardonnay and Sauvignon blend called ‘Chardeaux’. The name reflects the class of the establishment. To put it nicely, the third winery, Osprey’s Dominion, was foul. To sum up their wine, one of their staff members boarded our bus before we disembarked, and informed us that after our tasting we could purchase beer. And he was correct - after tasting their wines, we certainly didn’t want to try anymore. I feel very mislead by the tour - it has not been designed for those that want to explore the local wines of New York State. The tour company has no idea about wine, and the wineries they chose were very disappointing. If you want to get drunk with friends and you don’t care what you drink, book this tour. If you love wine, stay away. It’s not good and you’ll just waste your money. Also - it’s a long trip there and back, and they never offered a rest room break.
- susancC7282LK00Long Island wineries were funThe wineries were much better than expected. The hosts were great and accommodating. Bus was clean. Pickup was on time.
- Inez D00100% recommend100% recommend! Staff, wine and the overall day was great! Perfect for a day trip out the city! Plenary of food and water was provided in between tastings
- G2014AGmc00Snowy ski dayFriendly guides. Great that it snowed. Helpful trainers at Mountain Creek for complete beginners. Fun trip overall
- _I312SF00The coolest hotel in Aqaba. Thank you, Movenpick HotelI was very happy to stay at the Movenpick Hotel. Excellent service, clean and warm swimming pools…..
- sarahtN6479LX00Highly recommendedThis is a 16 hours trip out from San Fransisco to visit the Ski resort area, home of the 1960 winter olympics. We had the round trip ticket transportation from SF. Its a long ride by bus. 4,5 hrs each way. There are slopes for everyone, good or poor level.
- Queen_CCBLK00So much funRachel and Michel were great hosts very friendly and knowledgeable. Each vineyard had a nice atmosphere and beautiful scenery. The wine portions were small so no one should get drunk.
- 789amberp00Superb!The wineries were gorgeous and the vineyards were super cool!! I was never that into wine but I found a couple I really enjoyed here!!
- darissg900Wining Down LII had an awesome time, Mike and Belle were great, took lots of pictures for us, and made the trip even more fun. The vineyards looked like straight out of a movie. Every one on the bus was super nice, and not one person became ‘that person’ after all that wine lol. I’d definitely book a trip with them again.
- Jessica G00Excellent trip for all levels of experience!Excellent experience from pick up to drop off! The guides were experienced and really helped me out (a first time kayacker!) they were always there to ensure we were safe and having a good time. They managed a large group of people (50+) with varying levels of ability throughout the day and I was really impressed. Got this as a gift for my Dad and we really bonded. I recommend this to anyone in NYC looking for a nature and wine-filled adventure. I'll be kayaking again after learning from them and trying out the other trips with Sourced Adventures as well. My sincere thanks to the whole team!!
- Ela D00TERRIBLE1. TERRIBLE experience! We schedule for my husbands birthday the Wine Tour in Chicago. The bus used was very old and broke in the middle of the highway, we had to wait 1 hour for another bus. The guide had no idea what she was doing, didn’t know anything about wines or the wineries we visited. The wineries per se were ok. But in the way back the driver put the bus music in maximum volume. We asked to change and nothing happened. I have videos showing how bad it was. Would NEVER schedule ANYTHING with them ever again.
- marcelofagundes00Terrible experience at the Winery TourTerrible experience with their winery tour in Michigan. Their tour guide simply put the bus music on the maximum volume on the whole trip back (2h). Not even my noise canceling headset stoped it to be extremely loud. She made the bus to become a party for all the drunk people in the tour. She apparently has ZERO experiencing being a tour guide and is very disrespectful. Nevertheless, their bus broke at the beginning of the trip and made us lose 1.5h of the tour! Don’t waste time with this company!!!
- krisjH5583WX00Worst trip with SA/Unsafe & Obnoxious River TubingLet me start by saying that good or bad I never leave reviews, but I couldn't pretend like what happened on Saturday's trip was acceptable, let alone safe. First let me start with went well...the experience itself, the time my friend and I had on the Delaware River and at the brewery was fun. It was my friends first time River tubing, it was her first time with Sourced Adventures and her first time participating in any sort of water activity and she was incredibly excited when I told her about this trip. I made the mistake of assuring her that I had taken multiple trips with Sourced Adventures and it was always well organized, fun and most importantly completely safe. She was apprehensive due to Covid but I assured her that SA had extensive safety protocols such as mandated mask wearing and social distancing on the bus. Unfortunately by the end of the trip, I found myself apologizing profusely as SA made me out to be an outright liar to a first time customer. What went wrong? Well first there were two large extremely loud, obnoxious groups sitting in front of and behind us. In the front you have the music blasting, maskless, dancing in the aisle, drunk tourist. Behind us you have the maskless group of drunk frat boys who spent the trip visibley drunk and screaming. Three of which had to be searched for after the brewery stop. On the way to the brewery they were allowed to blast music and scream. My friend and I actually went to speak to the female guide who seemed to be in charge. Who seemed super apologetic and sincere, when we begged that we just watch a movie on the way back to New York without music. She said yes and said that during the 45 minutes to the brewery she typically allows the guest to decide, but in fact she was in agreement about having a quiet ride home. When we got back on the bus, it all went out the window, she put on a movie without sound or subtitles and allowed them to continue to blast music via their speaker. Then several of the tourist in the front literally began Irish step dancing up and down the aisle drunk, and maskless and knocking into my friend who was sitting in aisle seat. While the drunk group in the back pounded on the ceiling of the bus, screaming. This went on for the entire trip back to New York. So much so, that we decided to get off in midtown which is significantly further from our homes just to get off the bus. Us and another 5 girls were equally as fustrated, and like us, took pictures. See attached. Many people who boarded with us at Delancey also exited early. My ears ringing and head pounding. I can't say how disappointing this was and how none of the safety protocols we're enforced. I get having fun, but that was complete failure to maintain any sort of control. The male tour guide made zero efforts to back the female, it seemed like she was alone on delivering information any trying to maintain any sort of "control." They really shouldn't be allowed to drink on the bus, period. You're opening not only to the likely that people won't social distance, not wearing mask but a higher likelyhood that people will become non-compliant. All that it seemed like they allowed the tourist who will never come back to run the bus, as opposed to a frequent customer who was planned to go on another trip next month (well, I was no im longer going). If wanted to be trapped at a drunken frat party I'd go back to undergrad. Do better!
- 278jerris00CubsJust returned from 4 nights in Cuba. Our guide, Greta, was friendly, well-organized, and energetic. Her knowledge as a Cuban young-mother and life-long Havana resident was invaluable. Definitely recommend this trip
- Teresa D00Beautiful day on Long Island!I was so impressed by how organized the tour was. Our tour leader Liam did a great job of explaining the flow of the day, and keeping the group on schedule. The three wineries we visited were all unique from each other, and the variety between them made the day even more fun. Tastings are included at all three stops, and there was a wine/cheese pairing at the first one, and a boxed lunch at the second. There were also food trucks at the third stop for purchase. All in all a beautiful day!
