    Beautiful pairing- food and history!
A great blend of local history and really delicious food. Carolyn has a wealth of knowledge and a true passion for all things Annapolis and Maryland. It was our first visit to Annapolis, and it was the perfect introduction to this gem of a city.

    Great experience, great guide!
The best part of the tour was our guide. Mary Margaret was excellent. Great energy, and really connected to the area, sharing many interesting facts. We were able to have a taste of a nice variety of good foods. It was also nice to meet new people and get to know them and a little bit of their story.

    Recommend the Food Tour
My cousin and I were very impressed with the Fells Point food tour. Not only did we get to sample some great food but we learned a lot about Fells Point. Our guide, Mary Margaret, was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of history we would not have known otherwise. She even gave us some great tips of what to do and where to go during our visit. Definitely going back for a tour of Little Italy next time !

    Go!
So… I have lived in Maryland for 37 years. I'm now 50 years old. I have never been to our state's capital, Annapolis. My husband is now incapable of traveling. It's been that way for six years. We used to travel the world. I finally decided to start practicing solo travel. I do travel with my friends which is good, but... I need to practice solo travel. So I drove two hours to Annapolis. Had a great overnight! This tour was fantastic! It felt like I was not alone but able to still just be me. I learned so much about Annapolis! Who knew!? It's adorable! I also LOVE a water town. Don't be like me. Go to Annapolis! Food was great. History was. great. People were great :)

    Fell’s Point foodie/history tour
Our experience with the Fell’s Point foodie tour was excellent. Our first time doing a foodie tour and our guide, Zack was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and pointed out things that we never would have noticed on our own. The four places that we went to sample the food was excellent and all in the group indicated that any of the places would be worthy of a return visit.

    You won’t be disappointed (:
My boyfriend and I come to Baltimore (from NOVA) each year to watch the Yankees vs. O’s. After being highly recommended, we checked out our first ever food tour this last weekend, and it did not disappoint! Mary Margaret was extremely knowledgeable and able to answer all the question thrown her way by our group, this was a unique way to learn more about the city. We had a total of 4 stops, and each stop was extremely generous with portions and everything was incredible! We loved this so much, we intend to do the Little Italy tour with Mary Margaret on our next trip! If you’re looking for a great experience, this is it. (:

    Family fun in Fells
Our group was an adult family of 5, with 3 of us visiting new implants to Baltimore. This gave those of us traveling from Colorado to Maryland an experience we will always remember, and the two new Colorado implants to Baltimore a deeper dive into the area. Mary Margaret was informative, engaging, and enthusiastic. We loved how she explained the selection of the locations we visited and their importance to the community, whether they be newish or oldish. We also loved the history of the neighborhood along with current affairs that are being experienced. If you are looking for a small town, family-friendly, welcoming environment… This is the trip for you?

    Fun on Fells Point!
We had a great time on Mary Margaret’s food tour. She, according to one bartender we spoke to, is a ‘legend’ in Fells Point! She really knew her stuff about the history and traditions of the area. We stopped at 4 places to eat - plenty for a meal, including dessert. We didn’t cover a lot of territory, but it was a nice walk in a quaint historic neighborhood. She was good at addressing the entire group of 12, speaking clearly, and managing time. The tour was from 3p (arrive at 2:45p) to 6:30p. At the end, she made sure we knew how to find our parking garage. We’ve done 16 food tours all over the nation and world, decided it was time to explore one of Baltimore’s neighborhood. Hope to do the Federal Hill tour soon!

    Fun afternoon in Annapolis
We recently spent a cold winter afternoon touring Annapolis, and tasting marvelous treats, with our very able guide, Carolyn. She kept up a brisk pace, and made us almost forget the wind and 25 degree weather. We highly recommend this tour!

Fun foodie experience with teen daughter
Excellent tour guide (Mary Margaret) and food, which we were allowed to take home. The walks in-between each restaurant visit were educational/interesting and great for a break between the food samples.

We had MaryMargret and recommend her
The tour guide was fun and hilarious. She knew all kinds of little details about Baltimore and also lives in Fells Point so she knew the area. We usually go on a food tour when we visit a city, and this is the first one I truly wanted to recommend. It is a special occasion when you get a real good guide.

A fine introduction to Fells Point dining and history.
A good introduction to Fells point and its numerous food and drink establishments by a super enthusiastic guide, Jules. We have been to a number of food walking tours in different states and countries. We look for a variety of food types that epitomize a city or neighborhood. This tour mostly fulfilled that wish. Fells point is a charming and trendy part of Baltimore, tending strongly to local businesses and not the fine but somewhat sterile chains in the Inner Harbor area (Shirley’s excepted - we love that place!). Jules, an “all in” Baltimorian” or “Smalltimore” as she was fond of saying due to Baltimore’s 200 separate neighborhoods and its closer sense of being, knew her history well. Fells point is not large, but it has more watering holes than cities many times its size, plus the charm of older buildings dating back to 1769. I think she knew every drinking establishment and not necessarily by word-of-mouth. Our food stops consisted of four restaurants and what may be best described as a blue collar bar/tavern that happened to serve desserts. We ended our tour there, pairing a White Russian with a slice of fried PB&J. The food stops were overly generous in their portions, platters of mac n’ cheese being left over for the taking at one stop. In fact too generous is perhaps the correct term. Most of the dishes were good, all the portions were giant, but generally not super special or great. We would have preferred smaller and perhaps less generic. What was also missing, which our intrepid tour guide could not provide, was a brief discussion by the Proprietor (or chef) about the dishes being served or how they related to Baltimore or the Fells point neighborhood. To sum up - a lot of food - you will not be hungry afterwards - a great tour guide, but a dining experience that was a 4/5. Good, solid but room for improvement. No reason it can’t make a few adjustments and be 5/5 next time.

What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in Baltimore! Our guide Mary Margaret was excellent and we ate way too much food. You will not leave hungry and will not need dinner after the tour! Also appreciated the history of the area. Two thumbs up and highly recommend.

Our family recently went on the Charm City Food tour of Jonestown & Little Italy. It was a cold windy day, but Molly our guide paced the tour just right. The restaurants we visited were friendly and provided plenty of food. I found the Charm City tour people very considerate to deal with, as I had to cancel the original tour and reschedule. They could not have been more co-operative or helpful. Try it, you certainly won't leave hungry.

Our tour started in front of the Lloyd Street Synagogue and traveled to "Corned Beef Row." First stop was an amazing Jewish deli. We walked leisurely through Jonestown and Little Italy, areas that were unfamiliar to me. Our tour guide Timmy is an English professor, but he clearly has a love for history and told some very interesting stories. We were stuffed by the end of the tour - everything was delicious and the two food issues in our group were handled perfectly (one didn't eat red meat, one didn't eat tomatoes/tomato sauce).

Mary Margaret was an excellent guide. Living in the area, her personal knowledge and experiences added interest and depth to her commentary. The food locations were nicely separated with walking and historic stops. This tour offers lots of food ... highly recommend you come hungry because you will leave full !!! Food tours are such a great way to get oriented to a new city and learn interesting tidbits that are not written in tour books. Meeting new people is also a big plus.

Molly was an awesome guide, interacted with everyone. Not only did she know everything about the places she took us to, she also talked about the architecture of these residential neighborhoods and the more famous residents who lived there, sharing historical facts along the way. The selection of food places was just right, the food was plentiful (bring your appetite: NO LUNCH BEFORE THIS TOUR!). I would absolutely go back to 3 of the 4 places we went to. Ok, probably all 4!

Our food was literally a small plate of plain, non-home made spaghetti noodles tossed in olive oil, a piece of bread, tiny plain arugula salad at the first restaurant, followed by one small piece of very mediocre pizza at the 2nd place, and a single cannoli handed out on a street corner at the end of the tour. I make better italian food for my children, and I am not even Italian. Some (but not all!) people had a bit of parmesan on their noodles, and a few chips of walnut or raw cauliflower on their salad. It could not have been more than $1.50's worth of food for the ticket price of $65. The Tour guides were interesting enough, and the neighborhood is worth seeing but you can do it easily on your own. The food was a total rip off. We were a big group attending a large conference, but any food tour company should know how to plan for that.

I did the Mount Vernon tour several years ago. I enjoyed it so much that I was eager to come back for the Little Italy / Jonestown tour. It did not disappoint. My whole family (husband and two teens) really enjoyed it. We ate at a Jewish deli and three Italian restaurants. The food was delicious, and our tour guide Mary Margaret was very friendly, interesting, and knowledgeable about the history of the neighborhood and the city. Looking forward to coming back for the Fells Point tour.

I invited my Pittsburgh cousins for a taste of Baltimore! We had a fabulous time!!! Not only was all the food awesome (well maybe not the coddies…) but everything else was fabulous! Our guide Molly couldn't have been better as she told stories and provided insight not only on the food but also the neighborhood, traditions, and people of the area! Made me so proud! Can't wait to go back to many of the restaurants for a full meal and to experience some of the other food tours!
