Today I went on Bite of Baltimore’s Fells Point tour with my wife. Both of us love food (me especially, evidence: waistline) and we were very much looking forward to our tour around Fells point, which neither of had visited in at least a decade.
The tour began at the Thames street park. This is where we met our tour guide Seth.
“Met” isn’t the right word though… The Thames street park is where Seth made his presence known. Incredibly welcoming, I felt like I was invited into his home, not meeting a stranger in a park. He was warm, bubbly, energetic and interesting. I am a BIG personality, but this guy was a force of nature. He built immediate rapport with everyone on the tour(8 people) and off we went.
The restaurant selections were all fantastic. We made 4 stops on our tour.
Incredible tacos and tamales at Chilango. And top shelf margaritas!
Perfectly cooked Salmon and rice with vegetables at The Pointe. Paired with a beautiful glass of Sangria (this drink was included in our booking)
An insanely good plate of Drunken Noodles at Thai Street.
And then we finished off the evening with a charcuterie board from heaven at Pitango.
In between all of our stops Seth regaled us with the history of the area. The origins of Fells point, it’s significance in American history, the war of 1812 and the unusual position the city found itself in with its own Fort McHenrys cannons pointed at it during the civil war.
He pointed out the important buildings and structures, taking time out here and there to show us the discoloration of bricks that marked where buildings had been added to over the years.
He worked all of this seamlessly into his routine, telling jokes and laughing with all the members of our tour about anything and everything that popped into the conversation. It was so organic I felt like I was visiting an old friend showing us his hometown, rather than paying for a service.
We discovered that Seth was a NEW tour guide! This was his first time doing an unsupervised tour! Considering The wealth of knowledge and local history that he treated us to, the veteran tour guides must be superstars! Can’t wait to do it again!
5 stars to bite of Baltimore for the adventure they took us on today! I will absolutely be booking another tour soon!

I'm fashionably late in writing a review, but I assure you my incredible experience with Bite of Baltimore in September has not faded from memory. For anyone planning a trip to Baltimore, the Fells Point food tour is a must-do activity. Definitely arrive hungry and sporting your athletic footwear because you will eat a lot AND get your steps in. If you can, request Seth as your tour guide--he's hilarious and knowledgeable about the city's history and food scene.
Overall, I enjoyed the variety of cuisine we tasted and learning about Baltimore. The tour gave me a great foundation for how to navigate the city and I made some new friends in the tour group as well.

Zac was an awesome host and guide throughout the day, filling in a great deal of history of Fells Point and surrounding Baltimore areas. Each restaurant on the tour served amazing dishes which made the experience pleasurable. Our group of people made the tour all the better!!! I would definitely do this again!!

Fells Point walking foodie tour with Bite of Baltimore is a must-do activity whenever you are visiting the city!! Our guide, Zach, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The amount of facts he knew was seriously impressive. And the food - oh the food - everything was delicious and the restaurants visited had the friendliest staff! Really can’t recommend this tour enough. If you are considering booking, stop considering and do it now, you will not be disappointed!!

This tour was absolutely fantastic. The tour guide was so knowledgeable about fells point. I’ve lived in baltimore for almost 7 years and was always learning something new and trying new dishes at places I haven’t been before. I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting baltimore and folks that have been here for years.

My hubby had a special birthday to celebrate, and it makes it particularly difficult for us since half the family lives in Culpeper, Virginia and the other half near Lancaster County, in Pennsylvania. Baltimore was the perfect meeting place.
We all love food, all types of food, and this tour sure filled that requirement. We brought 9 family members ranging from 19 years old to "old as dirt." Our guide, Erich, was tons of fun and shared oodles of information about the areas through which we walked, but not so overwhelming as to lose the attention of those of us who aren't history buffs.
What impressed us was the variety and quality of food at each of the four stops. Plenty of time to relax and rejuvenate while moving on to the next restaurant. We expected tapas sized servings at each location, but that certainly wasn't the case; I actually gave up the ghost at the third stop.
Next time we're in town we'll definitely try the Mount Vernon tour.

Thank you SO MUCH for these kind words! Also - nothing makes me angrier than a food tour that leaves me hungry when it's done! We make sure to fill you up, and we take pride in our generous feast!
Erich is amazing. We love him because he is such an enthusiast for the area. His love of Fells Point is apparent each time he takes a group out.
Come hungry to Mt. Vernon, the food quality there is out of this world! Also, book your tour directly with us, and use code "shopsmall" for supporting small and local business! We cannot wait to see you again!

This was the best food tour ever. Previous food tours we have been on gave small bite size tastings, this Fells Point tour we visited 4 different restaurants and had very generous servings of food, in fact a full meal at our first stop. Only disappointing part was I was full by the time we got to the fourth stop, but they provided To Go containers so we could take it with us. Donna was a wonderful tour guide and gave some interesting history of Fells Point and Baltimore. You could tell Donna knew all of the employees at the restaurants we visited. The tour took about 3 hours, would highly recommend.

Right?!? I hate when a food tour doesn't feed enough food! That is no way to eat! I'm so happy you enjoyed the cuisine, and Donna is really amazing. We're so lucky to have her on our team! Please come back, and try our other tours!

This was the first time I did a good tour and the experience was great. Our guide Donna was very friendly and knowledgeable. Thev your went throught the Fells Point neighborhood and we learned about the history of Baltimore avd got to experience 4 great restaurants.
I recommend not eating before the tour because you and pretty much given a full meal at every stop. My favorite place was called The Point. The way they prepared their broccoli, only one word Amazimg.
This experience was worth the price and i would happily do it again.

Recently did this tour as part of a group outing on a business trip to the area. Zach was our group’s tour guide and he was fantastic, very personable and well versed in Baltimore history (and even some aspects of French history). The tour gives you a good overview of Fells Point and provides a good starting point for a visit to the area. The food stops are good and the tour ended with a pint at Max’s taproom, where I could definitely spend more time.

Our tour guide was Zack. We was very engaging with the group. He know a ton about Baltimore and Fells Point. There was definitely plenty of food on the tour. I didn't eat before or after the tour that day, but I didn't need to! Pace yourself at the beginning. I like to do food tours in each city that I visit and this was one of the best. Strongly recommend.
