The pilot was very courteous and well informed about the geography and history of the land marks we viewed, and the helicopter itself. The dinner staff at The Capitol Grille was 5 star. All staff was attentive, kind and patient. The portions were just right and the food cooked and seasoned perfectly. We sat in a back room was from others and had a private feel in a public space. I’ve lived in the city for 15 years but have never seen Baltimore quite like I did today. The heliport is very convenient being just off 95 and from start to finish everything was first class. We choose Capital Grille for the restaurant. The flight was amazing! Safety was utmost and everything was explained to us step, by step. Friendly staff and very easy to talk to. The weather was perfect and this trip was only 15 mins. We are already planning our next trip. The flight was beautiful and the pilot described what to expect so we were prepared for shifts, turns, and where to direct our eyes. The Capital Grille was amazing from the moment we were greeted at the door. They had our reservations and yes we felt like we stepped our date night up a notch. All we had to do was leave a tip, and it was well-deserved. We have safely traveled State-side and plan to check out more things to go, see, do and review. Gave them a call and a real person picked up that actually knew what they were talking about. I then completed the booking and had to reschedule due to bad weather, which they were incredibly accommodating. Tour day didn't prove anything less than magical! The tour was narrated by the pilot, the aircraft very smooth and best of all, my boyfriend was incredible happy and over the moon! Highly recommended from top to bottom!!Written September 17, 2018

We made the reservation to better understand the layout of Baltimore and originally scheduled the trip at 6:30 PM but were told that we should schedule at 5PM because there was a ban against flying over downtown Baltimore at 6 PM. So we arrived early (4:40 PM) and we were told upon arrival that we would not lift off until 5:30 PM. The staff suggested that we walk up the street to get a bite to eat and return for lift off. As it turns out the nearest place “up the street” to eat was 0.6 miles away. So after making the 1.2 mile round trip hike and eating a hot dog while walking back we arrived back at 5:33 PM (3 minutes late). We were told that since we were late that another couple was going first. As a result we did not lift off until just before 6 PM. Instead of flying over Baltimore we went to Annapolis. On the return we did go briefly over Baltimore but not to the degree that we had requested in our preflight emails. Also the pilot seemed NOT to be well versed in the history of Baltimore and the surrounding areas. We DO NOT recommend Charm City Helicopters.

Hello,
Yes, there was a Temporary Flight Restriction that populated over Baltimore and does so during all Major League Baseball games, and in your case, the Baltimore Orioles game in which we are legally bound to not fly over Baltimore by FAA Regulation. The only helicopters allowed to flying during this TFR are Police, MedEvac, and Military.
We will never jeopardize safety or legality of any flight for any reason. We are by the book and always will be for our passenger's and Pilot's safety.
When you arrived very early for your flight, we did offer you to grab some food since you did not want to wait for your flight time's scheduled departure of 5:30pm, but we were adamant that you needed to return on time for your scheduled departure time. Unfortunately, when you returned, it was past the 5:30 departure time and like any Airline or Professional Aviation Company, we must depart on time.
Despite the return late arrival and thus closed down airspace over Baltimore by TSA/FAA, we upgraded your flight to Annapolis tour so we could fly you which is normally a significantly higher cost tour because we wanted you to have an amazing experience. According to our terms and conditions, we were supposed to cancel your tour for arriving late, but instead we upgraded you since you had arrived earlier. I don't know how much more accommodating we could be. We also only have 5 Pilots, all of which are locals and know the area very well and have never fielded a complaint about one of them being up to speed on local knowledge as they are certified tourism ambassadors in Baltimore.
I believe this review is unwarranted as we went above and beyond to upgrade your flight to ensure an amazing experience since we legally could not fly what you originally wanted due to the late return arrival. Even if it was 3 minutes late, the FAA sets the regulations and we cannot break them for any reason.

This was an all around wonderful experience. From the moment I spoke with the most friendly staff member to book for the following day to the time I departed, the service and experience was spectacular. Ashley was absolutely amazing and very accommodating to my friend and I. We were stuck in terrible traffic at 5pm on a Thursday and she was so pleasantly understanding and assisted us to ensure that we did not miss out on our planned experience. The flight was awesome although I must say that I would recommend a longer flight option because 12-15 minutes truly fly by when you are taking in so much at once but our pilot was a delight and very knowledgeable of the city.
Would I do it again? ABSOLUTELY YES!!!

I had been looking into a tour with Charm City Helicopters for a while but didn't actually book until the morning of the day I wanted the tour.
The company couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. We ended up on a private flight and we were able to upgrade to a longer flight right there on the spot. It was amazing!
The pilot was friendly and we chit chatted during the flight. The women working at the actual office were knowledgeable and so helpful. Don't mistake either of them for "office help". They either have their pilot's license or are working on getting them. Any questions you have, they know the answers and then some.
I wouldn't hesitate to book again with Charm City and happily recommend them to anyone looking for a way to make a visit to Baltimore unforgettable.

5 Stars all the way! Seriously the best experience my wife and kids and I have had together as a family in a long time! Staff is great, helicopter is comfortable and big, and location is incredible! Highly recommended and we'll be coming back!

Awesome experience! It was great to see so much of the city in such a short amount of time - the view from the sky is truly unlike any other. And our pilot was extremely informative, sharing interesting fun facts and pieces of history about Baltimore. I'm a Baltimore native and I even learned something new! Definitely would recommend to visitors and locals alike!

We live in the DC area and we were looking for something "different" to do for a date night last month. I searched around and found them, so I gave them a call. The girl on the phone was instantly beyond helpful and an absolute pleasure to talk to. The customer service immediately shined! We did the Baltimore Annapolis Skyway Tour and we were just speechless. I have been to Annapolis a many times and I have NEVER seen that view. The aircraft was so smooth and spacious and we felt like we had our own private jet (turns out it IS a jet powered helicopter, so not far off)! I hadn't been to Baltimore very much and the history we learned on the tour alongside the view was insane. Once we took off, we were immediately on the tour as we passed Ft. McHenry. Their location that they depart and land at (they called it "the pier") is postcard worthy and almost a tour in and of itself! If I could give Charm City Helicopters a rating higher than 5 stars, I would! Just their customer service, the tour they put together, their crew, their location, their big helicopter, just all the way around class. We are spoiled in DC, and this surpassed any experience we had. Just Awesome! You will not be disappointed and their customer service and attention to detail is something very hard to find these days! Booking the dinner package with them next!!!

This was the most amazing experience I've done in a long time!! My boyfriend and I did the Baltimore and Annapolis tour and it was absolutely breathtaking!! the views were stunning!!! the pilot and staff were all extremely nice and professional too!! The tour was a big waste of my money, I'm very disappointed and disgusted by their customer service. I was stuck in traffic in Baltimore because of a bike show that I have no control of the police block off most of the road. When I spoke to the representative at Charm she told me about a late fee, then I asked her if she could switch my time to the later flight they had and she said yes but didn't tell me about additional $400 plus the $385 I already paid. Which makes no sense for 12 minutes. Total rip off, and I'm extremely angry and dissatisfied! They say you paid to learn, and that's exactly my first experience.

Everyone was very friendly & personable. The rules & directions given were clear and concise. This was a check off of my bucket list!!! Seeing the city from above is a completely different story. Our pilot was nice enough to fly over my home, my high school #CityForever, and gave a history lesson on the numerous sistes we visited. Our pilot was so kind & funny. He put us at ease instantly. I recommend taking a Charm City Helicopter Tour to see the beauty of life. It's a beautiful getaway from the monotony of your regular experiences and stressors. 10 out of 10 will definitely do again!!! Thanks Charm City Helicopters staff & pilots! I ❤️🥰❤️ everything!!!
