I wanted to visit Gettysburg Battlefield with some friends but wanted a tour that went on our pace. This app was fantastic, it was very informative and on point. We had a wonderful time and the day was not tiresome. Took breaks and proceeded when we were ready. I would recommend this for anyone.

Once you get started it is very informative. The struggles or instuctions to get started were a little difficult. My husband and I both enjoyed the content.
One other side note, it would be helpful to understand the speed you are driving and when to start moving the car again, when it mentions to "Pull over".

The audio didn’t sync well with our iPhone 11 GPS so it was pretty confusing. We weren’t terribly upset because we had booked a bus tour for the following day. If you have time to do only one tour, definitely go for the bus with a guide!

I'm sorry for the inconvenience you had, Candy! GPS sensors on various phones are different. I enlarged the geo circles for poor GPS days. That should solve the problem.

This tour was surprisingly good: easy to follow in our car with the dog, informative, and fun. The historical context was excellent, as was the atmospheric context. Although we did this tour on a cold and dark November day, we could easily imagine the hardship in the early July heat that these soldiers and citizens endured.

No worries! The Travel Date you booked for actually does not impact the tour validity. You can in fact download and use the tour right now — it’s available from the moment you booked it, regardless of the Travel Date. You don’t have to worry about changing the Travel Date ahead/behind.

It is on your phone. So you only have to buy one even though it gives you an option on more than one. You drive your car around but If your internet connection is not good then you may get interruptions. Also the directions were hard to follow and a couple of times we back tracked.

What are the hours you can do this each day?
Since this is totally self-guided, the timing is totally up to you! The battlefield is open from sunrise to sunset (plus 30 minutes before/after). So you can take the whole tour in one day, split it into multiple days, or take the same tour multiple times. Once you book the tour, there is no expiration — the tour is available from the minute you book until forever.
Can we drive a class a 31 ft rv on this tour?
While RVs are popular at Gettysburg, the NPS has the best answers for specific questions!
Can we purchase this at the museum?
Yes, sure you can purchase the tour at the Gettysburg Heritage Center. You can also buy it here. As mentioned, purchased just one per car, not per person. Once you purchase the tour, it is with you forever.
