The guide was very knowledgeable and had a great personality. Kept it very interesting. Talked about his own experiences as him and his wife live in Gettysburg

Not worth the cost. Try a different tour.
Jul 2021 • Family
There are several ghost tours in Gettysburg. As a tourist, I chose the wrong one. I purchased a civil war ghost tour for my family 7/6/2021, paying extra for additional time and the EMF meter. This tour was an unfortunate disappointment. Basically we were told stories across the street from buildings and told about places we couldn’t see or go to (because other tours had contracted to use them). My son was handed the EMF and told if it’s red, watch out. It lit up several times but the guide (Justin) never acknowledged it. We did not get the additional time we purchased even though the guide told us he’d included a couple extra stops. Without the “extras” there wouldn’t have even been a complete tour! We have done similar tours in other cities and were really looking forward to a good experience in a place like historic Gettysburg. It was truly a disappointment and certainly not worth the $124 I paid. I tried calling the number provided and left a message, with no response. The email address they provided was not a legitimate email. If you are looking for a good tour, use a different company.

Short and Interesting
Jun 2021
We booked this ghost tour through TripAdvisor. The guide was friendly and led us on a walk of several blocks. We knew a lot of the stories, and heard some new - not sure of the validity, but interesting. We did not enter any buildings, and it was disappointing to be across the street from some of the locations, instead of on the same street where we could have been closer. Guide should bring a flashlight to emphasize some info. Probably would not go again, but it might be fun for first-timers. Was not scary at all.

Interesting and Chilling Ghost Tour
Justin was a very convincing and interesting guide on our ghostly walk. One of the walkers actually got a very chilling photo of a face in one of the houses we were hearing about. Justin was an enthusiastic and engaging host. We enjoyed the tour.

May sunset Ghost tour
I was in Gettysburg for 3 days, and decided to take The Civil War Ghosts Walking Tour. I brought a ticket for the extended tour.

PROS
- The tour lasted about an hour and a half. Basically covering an area between the Cemetery and Downtown Gettysburg.

-Austin/Justin the guide knew a lot about Gettysburg ghosts and paranormal. It was interesting.

-The guide showed us pictures of what previous guests on the tour spotted as far as “ghostly” sightings.

CONS
- The tour group was pretty large for a walking tour. About 20 people. That made it hard to hear the guide speaking at times because of the large group and the nearby traffic noise.

- Justin wore a t shirt, shorts and flip flops. All of the other tours I saw, the guide was wearing Civil War period clothing. A more authentic “ uniform “ would have made things more interesting, and result in perhaps better tips for the tour guide.

Overall, I found this tour to be interesting and something fun to do on an evening in Gettysburg. Next time, I will try a different tour company, and I will compare tours..

Historic ghost walk
Mandy was very personable to all of us encouraging us to ask questions and share any experiences we may have had especially if it pertains to Gettysburg.

We enjoyed the tour and the stories that Mandy shared. She encouraged us to take photos. She is very knowledgeable about each place we went to. We even went to some of the places that were stops on the tour and can say that what she told us about the places were verified by staff or pictures in the museums.

We took the extended tour and had a wonderful night. We were even able to get great pics with the full moon.

We would recommend this walking tour to accompany any of the other tour in town.

A fun way to spend an evrning
We did this on a Sunday night. Had about 15 people and could hear all easily. Our guide was Justin, he was very engaging and informative!
Definitely would recommend this tour. Lots of good stories and history on top of that.
