      Very interesting and educational.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour consisted of seeing the battlefield from both the Union and Confederate point of view and made a few stops at key locations.

Great tour. A bit cold in October. Guide very knowledgeable. A lot of information in 2 hours. Worth the money if you like history.

      Do the bus tour!!!
We drove around the first day of our trip visiting all of the monuments. We decided that we needed to take a guided tour so that we could get a better understanding of the history of the area. We scheduled the double decker sunset tour. Sadly, it was raining and they changed our double decker tour to a regular bus tour. The good part of that was that there was only about 10 of us on our tour, everyone else backed out or cancelled due to the weather. Our guide was GREAT! I wish I would have caught his name, redish hair from NC. He was so full of information and kept you interested. With just the handful of us on the trip we were able to ask all of the questions we wanted. The tour let us get out a few areas to explore.

Awesome overview of the battlefields and monuments! Will return to view some more closely
We had a wonderful time- mom has been wanting to see Gettysburg for quite awhile and this trip was perfectly timed with the sunset. Very informative ( guide had quite a sense of humor) Highly recommend for an overview of battlefield’s and monuments to return at a later date for some more in-depth viewing.

      Lots of interesting historical information
We went on the bus tour and would highly recommend it. The bus guide Paul was a wealth of knowledge and made the 2 hours go by so fast. P.S. There was a bathroom break halfway through the tour too.

      Tour Guide
Tour guide was way too talkative . Would not come up to take a breath through the whole 2 hours. After awhile you would just tune him out because it was non stop talk! You could never ask a question if you wanted to. Very disappointed in this tour. Tour guide and bus driver were not very personable

      Great tour
The tour guide was knowledgeable and added great color to the events that happened during the battle. He gave a very clear picture of what both sides were seeing. He gave insight on what was happening with the towns people as well. I really don't think a self guided or auto tour would have given me as much information. I highly recommend this tour especially since the day we were there the visitor center was closed.

      Open Air Excellence
So nice to do business with a top-notch tour company. They are very efficient and well organized offering a very professional service. Since it was a nice autumn day we opted for the top deck of the open air bus. The headsets worked perfectly and everything was done very Covid carefully. Can't say enough about what an excellent tour this is. Three hours with two stops to get out and stretch made it just right.

Great way to end our weekend
We went on the Saturday night Ghost Tour. I really enjoyed our guide Jim as well as our bus driver, but I forget his name. The bridge and the Gettysburg College are great stops. The bus had very good social distancing as far as the seating goes, and all of the guests wore masks. My 12 year old grandson enjoyed it, even though he got a little sidetracked at the bridge catching crayfish. Bus was great for a hot humid evening as the air conditioning workedk well. Thanks for a great experience!

      Great time and wonderful employees
We toured on the 4th of July so the traffic was extreme as was the temperature. We had a wonderful guide who added some humor to the historical information. It was a lot to take in, would love to do it again!

Our experience on this tour was very good! The driver of the bus was super nice and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. The interaction between the driver and guide was superb and added a an entertainment element to our tour that we did not expect.

We toured the area on foot prior to taking this bus tour and had a good time but I recommend the bus tour to anyone planning to visit the area before you explore on your own because the guide may point out areas of interest that you may miss when you are seeing the sites on your own.

We did this tour on our first day at Gettysburg and it was wonderful. We sat on top of the double decker and could see pretty much everything. The narrator was quite knowledgeable and articulate. We recommend taking this tour before doing any other, including the self-guided auto tour because you get a great overview which helps in understanding the whole three day battle.

Our guide spoke way too fast and didn’t really explain anything that was going on and where we were on the battlefield. My husband did the drive by audio tour and learned more. I thought we would get out on the battlefield at significant stops and explain them better and allow for picture opportunities which didn’t happen. Our guide spoke like an auctioneer speaking a million miles a minute with a play by play of the battle but I came out of the tour wondering what just happened.

Thank you for your review. We apologize that you felt our Licensed Battlefield Guide spoke in a manner that was difficult to follow. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to give our guests a good overview of the battle in two hours. Our intention is to give an overview of this epic three day battle. All of our guides have a different presentation style, and many of our guests do find points of interest that they will privately visit the places that are of interest. Again please accept our apologies. Our goal is to give every guest an outstanding experience.

Great value for the experience. The driver and guide are friendly. The guide is extremely knowledgeable of the Gettysburg park and the history. The bus itself was comfortable with options for an enclosed bus since it was raining. You get a few places to stop and get off of the bus, including a stop with restrooms. The tour leaves right on time so be early. Bring cash to tip the guide.

This was an excellent tour and it was the perfect way to begin our Gettysburg National Park visit. Our driver, Phil, was great at navigating through the sometimes tight and crowded streets and roads. John, our official, licensed, guide (we learned that all official guides are required to pass a rigorous examination and get licensed) was simply outstanding! John knew not only the facts, figures, dates, and persons he also knew many of the stories-behind-the-stories on how they interacted and played out. John also related places and events to the movie "Gettysburg", which was helpful for those who'd seen the movie. We left the tour "equipped" to explore further on our own. Although the Visitor Center recommends their movie and Cyclorama before the tour (which they also recommend), I think we appreciated and understood the Visitor Center exhibits better having already seen and heard the story through John.

This tour was just OK. Tour guide was very passionate about the civil war history in the area and had many stories to tell but he talked so, so fast & I'm not sure if he wasn't talking loud enough or the PA system was bad but it was very difficult to understand much of what he was saying. We only were able to get off the bus at one place. I would have been happy to pay a little more for a longer tour where we could get out & really see & take photos of some of the sights.

Thanks for your review. Could you tell me the day and time you took the tour so that I can look into this further. We like everybody to have a great experience. Unfortunately, with so much to cover it is hard to stop more than once. Alot of visitors do the tour and go back to locations that interest them after to explore and take photos.

We just ended an incredible 2-hour bus tour that went by so quickly! We covered a lot of history, visited several key historic locations and monuments. The Licensed Volunteer tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the civil war, history, Gettysburg in such magnificent detail! As he explained key battles in animated vivid detail. Our group was captivated and almost felt like we were there!
The bus we rode on was quite comfortable. They allowed riders to get off stretch our legs and walk with him as he pointed out all the key land marks. There was one rest room break. Not a lot of walking or climbing up hills, it wasn’t overly exhausting for the elderly in our group. We didn’t feel rushed and our tour guide answered any questions that came up, with full detail! The guide was a walking encyclopedia with all his knowledge! It wasn’t boring. We loved it! I might add we took this bus tour the day after spending a half day at the museum visitor center (bundle- film, cyclorama, museum— all very well worth it!) and were able to fully understand spatially the locations of knolls, ridges and hills mentioned at the museum! Highly recommend everyone should take this tour at least once to fully understand the historical significance of the Civil war and the role of Gettysburg in our history.

Our guide was extremely well-educated about the battle. He could answer any question. Our bus driver was very personable and did a good job maneuvering narrow roads with a lot of traffic. She explained to us how difficult it is to become a certified guide. Since I am not a civil war buff, I had a hard time understanding the battle. It would have been better for me if I had watched an introductory movie first or had a diagram to follow during the drive. That was my short-coming, not the guide's. A shorter tour might have sufficed for me. I would definitely recommend that if you don't already know a lot about the battle, that you start at the National Park Service Visitor Center and educate yourself before the tour. I think that would make it more meaningful for you. I do think that getting out to see the battlefield should be part of any visit to Gettysburg.

The bus tour was great, the guide was a well informed historian. I would recommend taking the bus tour to get the lay of the land and history but then follow up with a tour by private car to allow for more stops at monuments. Although the reservation and a posted sign at the boarding site stated that masks were required, we were told upon boarding that no masks were necessary. If you are at high risk for Covid and complications, know that masking is not being enforced.

Thanks for the review and recommendation. Glad you enjoyed the tour. Doing the tour definitely gives you a better understanding before venturing out on your own. Masks are not required at this time and if you are in a high risk we do offer a Double Decker Bus with the open air top as well as private tours with a guide in your car can be scheduled at the Gettysburg National Military Park and Visitor Center.

Our tour guide was great, but I would not recommend this trip as they basically oversold the bus where we sat in the last row and saw little of the actually sites. Called the tour company while on the bus and talked to manager Vicki……she told me to get there earlier. I told her that isn’t the point that someone would have been stuck in that seat. Basically the response was it is what it is!!!! So buyer beware!! Sent communication to company President Max Felty…..,
