My family and I enjoyed a wonderful Three Hour Private Guided Tour of the Gettysburg Battlefields last summer. Our guide, Paul Baily, is a retired Army officer with a deep knowledge of military history, and he did a superb job escorting us around the Battlefields and explaining the significance of what we saw and the developments of this epic and important Civil War battle. He was extremely friendly and also excellent at keeping my two young daughters engaged, helping them to connect the dots as they begin to learn American history. Highly recommended.

My husband and I booked a three hour tour of the Gettysburg battlefield through the Gettysburg Heritage Center. We were assigned Louis Trott who was an amazing guide. Louis drove our car which is the way to do it. He was an expert on the battle and drove us easily to all the different points telling us interesting stories and all the details. Three hours may seem like a lot but it flew by and he even extended it another half hour! Booking a tour guide for this historical site is the best way to make the most of your visit. Driving around this huge area on your own, even with an audio guide etc would take you forever and you wouldn’t understand what was going on there during the battle. Louis made the battle come alive!

Did a 4 hour private tour for $175. Great value for the 4 of us. I would highly recommend. Our guide, Paul, was incredibly knowledgeable. There is no way we could have seen and learned what we did on our own.

We booked a 3 hour battlefield tour through the Gettysburg Heritage Center and had an absolutely fantastic experience. Our guide, Joel, was exceptionally knowledgeable not just about the Battle of Gettysburg but also the Civil War overall and was able to adapt the tour to our group (We had two Civil War buffs among us, one of whom had spent a great deal of time studying Gettysburg). He balanced covering the overall picture with visits to some of the lesser visited but very important parts of the battlefield. We were all very happy with the tour and would definitely recommend Joel.

We did the 2-hour Basic small group (1-6 people) battlefield tour. My Husband and I enjoyed an awesome educational personal auto tour of the Gettysburg battlefield by an official Gettysburg guide. Highly recommended.

Myself, and two family members booked the four hour tour with a licensed tour guide. The tour guide drives your car and gives you a personal account of each days significant (and less significant, that made a huge impact on the Battle of Gettysburg) Lewis, our guide was hands down the most informative, thourough and engaging person we have ever met. We are so glad we had him and the four hour tour as you needed all that time of the in depth understanding of what actually occurred. Well worth every penny and wish we actually had more time. Great job and look forward to our next visit!

We took the 3 hour tour of the Battlefield through the Gettysburg Heritage Center with Therese as our licensed guide. She has so much knowledge about the battle that she made it come alive! She did the tour chronologically Jul 1 to July 3, 1863 as she drove and made appropriate stops along the way. She gave us a wonderful tour!

My daughters gave me the 4 hour guided tour for Father's Day. It was on my bucket list. Teresa (sp) was exceptional. She gave a very concise timeline of the battle as well as answered every one of my questions (except 1, but it was not battle related).

3 Hour Driving Tour: our guide Tom Clark, was extremely knowledgeable, very engaging, and flexible with respect to our interests. We had a relative who died at Gettysburg and Tom helped us discover more information. We highly recommend him and this tour as a way to see the battlefield.

The Gettysburg Heritage Center was a very pleasant surprise. Although it appears unassuming from the outside, inside was an excellent museum with a unique view of the battle and its aftermath. While the film of the troop movements gave a concise overview of military operations, the rest of the Center explored the battle from the inhabitants' point of view. We learned about the trials that Gettysburg's populace had to endure and their attempts to aid the troops in any way they could. This would be a good addition to any trip to Gettysburg.

We took the private three hour auto tour. The guide was great. The knowledge was unbelievable. He put the war in perspective. Highly recommend this tour.

Lewis was our tour guide. He was knowledgeable on all things Gettysburg. He was also very understanding and helpful. I also have a disability and this was very handicap accessible.

Tom Clark was our guide on the drive through 2 hour tour of Gettysburg and was amazing. His experience as a history teacher and knowledge made it the perfect introduction to the battlefield and the history.
