Great tour guide for Amish/Lancaster County PA and Valley Forge
We recommend Tom unreservedly. He is an exceptional guide. Our tour began with a completely enjoyable half-day visit of the Amish country in Lancaster County. We then spent the afternoon in Valley Forge where Tom did an amazing job of explaining the history as he guided us through the park. This guy is the real deal.

The Tour to go on and Truly Unmissable - Fantastic Tour Guide
An exceptionally fantastic tour, fast paced but still with plenty of time at each well chosen stop. The recognisable Rocky destinations where we took lots of photos outlined the full coverage tour of Philadelphia with facts about the past, present and future of the varied destinations, as well as the thoughts from the locals and the development of each area. The thing which truly made our trip was the amazing Barry, he was an insightful, kind and funny guide! He was full of energy and positivity from the start to the finish, as well as being super friendly and knowledgeable when we asked him questions about Philadelphia, Rocky and American culture! The time honestly flew and we thoroughly enjoyed it, this is the tour to go on and truly unmissable!

      Great time with Tom
We had a private tour with Tom Courtney. We were 7 adults all in one family. Tom personalized the history of Philadelphia. His stories were on point and the tour was very well paced. The kids has been on a tour the night before but Tom’s stories were all completely different and he was able to bring life to the history of old town. We would highly recommend.

      Family Friendly/Amazing
Alex F. was an excellent tour guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable and provided an overall great experience for my family. My picky eater 4 year old ate all of the food provided at the stops we made, some being exotic and out of the ordinary for him (proud mom moment for sure!) Don’t think twice about booking this tour, just do it!

The entire time spent with Owen, the tour leader, on May 25, 2023 was interesting and informative. As tour guide, and with a small group and good weather, Owen was personal in his approach, knowledgeable and well-informed, and down to earth, accommodating, and helpful. And, even when a couple of difficulties came up, he was able to readily and easily deal with, and resolve, them. We would go on this tour again, and we would be interested in being part of another tour with Owen, who knows the local geography and history (and other topics) so well. The tour area itself was quite interesting - and seeing American history (studied in school) come alive, and vividly portrayed, through its structures and large expanse of land, was a solid use of the limited time available while visiting Philadelphia. And, the Visitor Center, with its history-focused Park Rangers and short background movie, was well worth the time, and a very good starting point. Ready to go again.

Adam is one of the best guides I've ever encountered. He passionately introduced the history of the United States, making the stories come alive with vivid details. It felt as if I were personally experiencing the challenges of America's early founding. In addition, Adam's service was excellent; he was polite, conversational, and ensured the entire journey was engaging. There were no dull moments, and if I return to Philadelphia, I would sign up for another tour with him without hesitation. By Alex

Not only this is a very interesting tour, where you get to learn about this pivotal moment in the U.S. history, it is also a beautiful outdoor escape through the lush grounds of the gorgeous Valley Forge park. Highly recommend for those interested in history and looking to venture out into nature just a short drive outside of Philadelphia. Our guide Adam was phenomenal - knowledgeable & fun! He led the whole tour as a conversation, which made it feel personable, comfortable, and engaging. Highly recommend!

First and foremost, I need to give our tour guide, Tom, a shout out. My wife and I have been on other tours before, but he was excellent! He was very welcoming when we arrived to the pick up spot, and while we were driving to the destination, gave us some interesting facts and information about the city, and pointed out some historical places along the way. While at Valley Forge, I was amazed at the amount of knowledge he had about how George Washington and the continental army lived while staying there. You can tell how much he enjoys his job and sharing his knowledge of history with others. As far as the tour itself, we walked through the visitors center and got to see the exhibits on display. We also drove through the park and saw replicas of the housing that the army stayed in. The views throughout the park were incredible! My wife and I were just in awe of the historical ground we were walking on. This is definitely a must do tour if anyone is in the Philadelphia area!

I cannot thank you enough for leaving this wonderful review! You note all of the things that make that national park such a worthwhile visit, and the experience is made that much better when you have a local expert guide like Tom to tell the incredible stories.

We booked WeVenture for a private tour (party of 2) several months ahead of our trip because we hoped to gain a unique perspective from a seasoned guide. I'm so glad we did! We were paired with James Robinson, and he was happy to answer all of our questions. Not only did he have extensive knowledge of Valley Forge, he also spoke of other skirmishes and events that shaped the Revolutionary War. We were given ample time to explore and James made sure we safely got to our destinations despite heavy rain. During our return to Logan Circle, he shared facts about his hometown and offered suggestions of local hidden gems. Our visit to Valley Forge (and Philly) was a success, thanks to James! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We had a wonderful time on the Valley Forge tour. Our tour guide, Dale, was exceptional. His knowledge base of all of the areas of Valley Forge, the activities, hardships, and general life that took place was outstanding. He also gave us a lot of information on the way up and back from our destination. We learned so much information that we were not aware of and we’re really happy that we had this tour with Dale we would recommend this tour to anybody who would like to truly learn about the history of Valley Forge. We also enjoyed the opportunity to ask questions and he would provide a lot of information with professional responses. Great Tour! You cannot see him.

The tour was very interesting and fairly comprehensive. There was ample time to see everything. The weather was glorious which only added to the experience. Since the experience is partially outdoors poor weather would certainly dampen the experience. The guide, Owen, was prompt, friendly, and very kind. He was attentive to the needs of some mobility issues, offering to drive them to their hotel. It was clear the guide was very knowledgeable but the delivery of information was lacking. The information about the war and its players was disorganized and given in a rambling manner. It was difficult to follow the material. The visual support material was offered on a smartphone on the dash and it was impossible for me see it. The manipulation of the smartphone made for obvious distracted driving.
