Great Customer Service - Kudos to Jay!
We had a reservation for the Empire State Building at 1pm, but unfortunately, my wife fell ill that morning. I initially thought we’d miss the entire day, so I didn’t reschedule. To my surprise, she felt better by the evening, and I called customer service hoping to make a change. I spoke with an agent named Jay, who was incredibly understanding and sympathetic to our situation. He went above and beyond to help us reschedule the visit for 6pm, which allowed us to still experience the Empire State Building. Jay was kind, patient, and genuinely caring, and because of him, our trip ended on a high note. His excellent customer service made all the difference, and we truly appreciated his assistance. Thanks to Jay, we had a memorable experience, and we’ll always remember his kindness. Kudos to Jay 🫶🫡

    Poor customer service
I purchased 4 adults and one child. We decided to go with this company due to skating at the Rockerfeller included and a night time bus tour. When we started our itinerary we found that the Rockerfeller had been removed so my daughter and her husband had to pay seperately for this which they hadn't budgeted for. We booked tickets for the night bus tour and I checked the day before to see where we needed to go to see a message in the write up on their site to say cancelled. I received no email or message to advise and if I hadnt checked where we needed to go we would have been waiting with a 3 year old for no reason. They did not even offer an alternative tour. I emailed them and received a holding reply but no response and I have also sent a follow up email to no reply. They have now put the rockerfeller skating back on their site but a clause added for dates you can use it. My advice is do not book with this company

    Tourist Trap Rip Off
Do NOT use the Sightseeing Pass. It is a rip off. My family and I pre-paid for 5 passes with 4 attractions each, and we paid extra for insurance. You cannot book the attractions through the site. Even though they say "No need to book in advance" for the attractions and give an estimate of when to arrive early, you show up only to find out everything is already booked up. This happened over and over again to my family. When I went to get a refund for my unused attractions (I paid extra for insurance) they told me that because I had used the passes for 1 attraction they were "activated" and they couldn't refund me on all of the unused attractions (which we didn't go to because everything was booked up). None of this is mentioned in their "no questions asked" refund policy. The safe bet is to book directly. You may pay slightly more, but the companies will work with you to secure a true booking, reschedule, or even refund. Once you buy the Sightseeing Pass you are locked in, and unless you do nothing with the pass, you won't get a refund for the attractions you don't use.

    NEVER AGAIN
i don't know how to start my review for this company since we haven't use the passes yet. I AM SO MAD AND PURELY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS COMAPNY. i talked to Rochel one of the customer reps and book 18 tickets from her. all i thought was she will book it under 1 order, i received 2 separate bookings with different references. i told her this will be a group of 18 people. i then called again to have it merged but next representative said it would not be possible to do it. this was the first complaint i had. i am hesitant to continue with my reservations now because the second thing happened was someone tried to use my card and the last thing i used it with was with this company. and they said that if i cancel the pass it would be back to whatever card i used it with. that card has already been blocked and permanently closed as i received notification that someone have tried to use it with online purchase and as per my bank the merchant can only be found from the Philippines. i then ask my bank to turndown that credit card and send me a new one. don't trust this company and i will make sure to put a review everywhere. I am considering how the passes would go and hoping for the best. SIGHTSEEING PASS COMPANY SHOULD IMMEDIATELY DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE FRAUD DOINGS OF THIS AGENT. Good thing I put high securities on all of my bank accounts or else she could have used it with her own satisfactions.

    Scammed
Hi my husband and I went to the Statten island area and were approached by a what we thought was a nice fella. We didn’t have a lot of time, maybe an hour and a half. We feel that our seller was very dishonest! We paid $113 for a cruise. He assured us that it was an hour. A shuttle bus would take us. By the time we did the big walk to the bus it was already 3.47. Got to the pier and was told the ferry was at 5 and it would take 2 hours! Plus the shuttle back. We had to leave as we had an apt to make. So money gone and no tour. When we got back he was nowhere to be seen! Iv emailed lots of times to the address on the ticket and to no avail. Be careful of these dishonest people.

Got fewer attractions than paid for!
I purchased a 10 attraction pass and everthing was great until the 8th attraction. The pass wouldn't work. Emailing the company has gone unanswered and telephone (from a different country) unsolved. Ended up having to pay to enter three attractions that should have been covered in my original pass purchase.

    Spent More, Experienced Less
PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BUY! If you're looking for a pass where you're actually able to choose each of the items that you want to do without issue in Washington DC, this isn't it. It looks great from the outset, until you realize that for the night monument tour, you have to arrive the morning of in person in order to be added to the tour and can only be added if there's room. However, anyone buying the bike monument tour online through the company can request it anytime in advance ONLINE. We were there for 7 days and EVERY DAY it was SOLD OUT. The Washington Monument, a classic visiting place, except that it also sells out, closes for potential storms, slight mist, possibility of wind, etc. Each time we tried to go, it also was not available. So all in all, we were able to use 3 of the items given, however, this did not in fact save us any money. We still spent over what those would have cost for our family of 5. Reviews have also listed numerous things that were included with their pass that are no longer included or were not included the summer of '24. Make sure you check their website BEFORE you buy to make sure it makes financial sense for you and anyone you're going with.

DO NOT BUY - Awful Customer Service
Purchased the pass and proceeded to Arlington Cemetery as advertised on the SightSeeing Pass App for the guided tour. Nobody turned up and none of the staff knew anything about it. Tried to call, and it was a NY number that just kept ringing. Raised a query via x.com which they ignored. Sent various emails that initially went ignored, then they said they would investigate and come back to me, then they emailed back to suggest their website and app shouldn't be used for information as its unreliable. They basically wouldn't do anything! so a one day pass half wasted because their tour didn't operate. Their customer service was HORRENDOUS! There are a few options for City Tours, i would try another as Sightseeing Pass are awful and really don't value their customers.

    Terrible customer service
Worst Customer Service I have ever experienced. I wasted $151. I bought a six attraction tickets. I planned to do three in one day and scheduled according to time and distance. The information of some attractions were not up to date causing my scheduled to fall apart. That day I only saw one attraction and wasted my time and Uber money going to attractions that were either closed or have a different tour than the one advertised. I called Sightseeing several times and after long waits, when I finally talked to a representative the call were "disconnected". That happens three times in one day so I do not believe those calls were "disconnected" but they just hung up on me. Mi several emails were totally ignored too. Months later I got an email saying that "due to a larger-than-average volume of emails, you should expect to receive a personal response within 24-48 hours". It has been eight weeks since then!!! Such a waste of money. I do not recommended this company for tours.

    Do NOT buy it
Let me save you some money. We took the 4 sights explorer card. First, we left our baggage at the station for a fee to make the evening bike tour. BUT the address in the description was not updated and we were rushing through the whole city for nothing. The bike tour happens ONLY if other tourists booked it directly with the company. So, next day there was no evening tour, neither morning Capitol Hills. Thus, we could hardly use all the number of paid experiences. Then BigBus which is included in any pass: the equipment was defect, so the sound quality was awful. We took the water taxi till Georgetown, just to make a bit more of our pass. Inside the boat there is no fresh air, outside - it's impossible to hear any guide, and you don't get earphones for that. Then we finally got one bike tour. If you do it, call their office to find them, it was still challenging. BUT the stuff was unfriendly, they didn't check our bikes and helmets, coz were in hurry to start the tour with other tourists. Thus, I had the wrong helmet size, while my husband's bike breaks were broken. In the evening, we thought to go to the Artechouse exhibition that is included, again, just to use the pass. BUT it works only a few days a week. And it was closed. Next morning, we headed to Arlington for the tour. The location link was sent to the wrong meeting point. The company and the tour guide in particular were doing it for the first time. The description said it had to be a one hour tour, so everyone in the group planned accordingly. We had train tickets booked. However, the tour was supposed to be 2,5 h instead, and we had to live early and saw very little. Here we are, still didn't use our passes and extremely disappointed with the experience. Total waste of money.

    Avoid. Disappointing.
I purchased the city pass for the day and attended Arlington well in time to attend the cemetery walking tour as advertised. Nobody turned up. I asked many members of the cemetery staff if they knew where the guide was, they knew nothing about the CutySightseeing tour guide and d suggested the tour wasn’t on. Basically a whole morning of a days pass wasted doing something that wasn’t on the pass. The cemetery was beautiful and well worth a visit, but I could have done that on a day I hadn’t paid for the pass. Called the telephone number, it just kept ringing. Tweeted them on X and it was ignored. Quick to take your money but not quick to sort a problem out. Very disappointing

Disappointing Experience with the Sightseeing Pass New York
I used the Sightseeing Pass in August 2024 to visit New York City and, overall, I was satisfied with the 5-attraction pass I purchased for myself and my family. It allowed us to save on the entry fees to four skyscrapers that we were eager to visit. However, my first experience with the pass was far from pleasant, and I was disappointed with the customer service. I had booked the 5-hour luxury tour, advertised as one of the top attractions, well in advance. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we found an old, slightly smelly bus that was not in great condition. The tour was supposed to include several stops around New York with explanations, but in reality, the only stop was at Chelsea, near the market. We were supposed to walk along the High Line, but the guide initially told us it was closed. When I insisted we check, as it appeared open, the guide responded that the previous day, some people had complained it was too long, so it was better to skip it and head directly to Chelsea Market. We rushed through the market without even stopping, heading straight for the Staten Island Ferry terminal. We could have made the 11:30 ferry, but the guide decided to make us wait at the terminal for the next ferry at 12:00. Once aboard, we barely had enough time to see the bay, with plans to return on the next ferry. When I asked what we would see next and how many stops we would make, the guide told me they weren’t sure and that we probably wouldn’t make any stops. At that point, my family, friends, and I decided to leave the tour entirely. It’s worth noting that the Staten Island Ferry is free, so we essentially lost a paid attraction just to be taken to the ferry on an old bus. I strongly recommend choosing a tour to Ellis Island instead of this one. Lastly, I submitted three refund or credit requests to Sightseeing Pass and never received a response. Next time, I’ll likely choose a different pass. Unfortunately, this was a negative experience.

Worked ok and saved us £200+ in entry costs - better with museums than with timed slots attractions
The pass worked well and saved money. We had 4 x 7 attraction pass and it saved us over £200 in entry costs. We just turned up and presented the Pass at different attractions such as MoMA , Intrepid, Guggenheim, American Museum of Natural History and then got immediate entrance or a ticket for later in the day. Where it could improve - there are only a couple of attractions that can be booked in advance, such as Empire State, and you cannot book others such as Top of the Rock or One World Observatory which means that if you turn up on a busy day you have to visit the attraction, line up up just to book a ticket for several hours later that day. Additionally when I did try to book a timed ticket for Empire State Building on the website the dates did not work properly. I wanted to book 5th August and when I entered this date it then jumped forward 2 months to 5th October! So I didn't book this - but phoned the helpline number (which is not easy to locate!!) and spoke to a very helpful person who booked us in over the phone for the Empire State Building. Bear in mind if you do book in advance online for Empire State Building you can only book tickets to visit the main 86th viewing floor which is great - but if you want to book the extra visit to the 102nd floor you cannot do this when booking in advance via the Sightseeing Pass - you can pay extra for this when you arrive at Empire State Building IF they have slots available and sadly they did not have any free slots when we visited. Ultimately it works better with museums than it does with something where you want to book a timed slot in advance such as an observation deck visit. Overall though it worked ok and saved us money.

The worst waste of money ever
We're gonna report sightseeing for failure to comply with the services. This is our fifth day with the card and we have not been able to exchange or enjoy the services that require a prior booking. The app interface doesn't work and the web doesn't solve the problem. We have written two times without answer. Definitively the worst wasted money in my whole life. We tried to find the offices of Sightseeing in the address of Manhattan that appears in the web but is a ghost company that doesn’t exist anywhere.

Be careful if buying a pass
Brought a 5 day pass wanted to go to the met museum to do so you need to go to the sightseeing pass office on 8 avenue but it's not there any more. I've emailed a number of times to try and get tickets but never get a reply. I will now go back to my bank to reclaim my ticket money back as its just a scam. This company is very had to contact.

We’ve used passes like these before without issue, but this is not one of them! A prime example is that we’d booked to do the ghost tour on the pass (we’d bought a 1 day pass not a flex pass) but when we arrived at the tour the owner told us that we were not allowed to go because the pass said “scan limit reached”. She said we must’ve bought a flex pass and had reached the limit. We explained (and sent screenshots) of our pass showing it was clearly a 1 day pass and we’d used it that morning with her company for the constitutional walking tour so logic would say it’s still valid! She wouldn’t let us go on the tour unless we provided a credit card which we clearly weren’t going to do given we’d already paid for the pass. So this was either an issue with the pass or the vendor but either way as the customer we were completely stuck in the middle. It makes the pass not worth it at all. Some of the other vendors we visited had issues scanning it (the app was slow or kept logging them out) but otherwise eventually worked. Needless to say it was not a seamless experience and we’re waiting to hear back from the company on what can be done about the fact we weren’t permitted by the vendor owner to do an entire attraction! It’s not as simple as “whoops our bad, here’s a replacement ticket”, we live in Australia and have now left Philly and are travelling home, so not exactly an easy fix!

The pass is good if you choose not to use the bus. If you have only 2 days try to visit as many museums as possible or do the walking tours if you are into that, otherwise is not worth it, and you will end up pay a overpriced entry for those museums. We had a 2 days pass, the first day we got a good deal because we had 2 walking tours, one museum and the Philly cheesesteak, the second day we got screwed with the bus, and we pretty much spent more than half a day running from a stop to another because the bus was not stoping to all stops and waiting for it. Definitely they don’t know what a hop on hop off bus is.
