Excellent black history tour of Phildelphia! There were 4 of us and we all agreed we learned so much from our tour guide, Mijuel. He was thoughtful and insightful. Highly recommended!
Special thanks to Raina for arranging this tour for us. We had a small window of time and it was something we really wanted to do!

I enthusiastically recommend this tour, as I learned facts I had never been taught in school, or even heard of. I appreciate Philadelphia much more now, and I'm sure you will too. Book it!

This was an amazing walking tour of independence square and landmarks and buildings around it from a black history perspective. Learned a ton from our tour guide Myjule. Highly recommend.

Raina, our tour guide, was terrific, a great storyteller, and an outstanding creator of a fantastic triptik to the past with an emphasis and lens of people of African descent. Now that I type that I realize that statement is unclear. The tour, written by an attorney with incredible knowledge and perspective, is an opportunity to learn a more inclusive history of our nation's earliest days. Be prepared to see more in our nation's past which we don't often learn about in history books. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and listened carefully the whole time.

Raina is the tour guide and did an excellent job. The tour started at the visitor center and that’s where Raina greeted me with her awesome personality. She’s very knowledgeable in what she is doing. Learned a lot about African American history in Philly that you don’t learn elsewhere. Highly recommend this tour!

An important historical eye opener about the slaves,self-emancipation in Philadelphia and how history does repeat itself. Our guide Raina(?) was passionate and compassionate. Worth the walk in the hot sun!

The tour was amazingly conceived. As we walked past our independence history we discovered that there was a parallel black history. It opened my eyes even more to the horrors of slavery but also the triumphs of the black leaders in that time.
Well done, well researched. Raina is a personable and a delight.
