    Amazing Tour
Alanna was an amazing tour guide, she was friendly, very knowledgeable and connected with the group throughout the tour. Her knowledge of the city and her extra hidden facts made the tour even better.

    Fun time, but pricey
Our guide Drew did a great job. He was full of information about the donut shops, and also provided some nice historical facts about the area. We had a beautiful day to walk from South St to independence Hall then up to Reading Terminal. It was something fun to do, but at $30 per person, plus a tip, was a little much for a half donut at each stop.

    Doughnuts...YUM!!
This tour was perfect for my husband and I. I have to admit, we’re not big “tour” people (we prefer to see places and plan out routes ourselves), but I saw this and definitely liked the prospect of getting to stuff my face with warm goodies while walking around to learn about our good old original American capital. We weren’t disappointed! Neil was our guide—he is local, friendly and seemed knowledgeable about the area— and he took us to four different doughnut shops, all unique in a way and spread apart in the tour time enough so it wasn’t too much all at once. It was a little rainy so we brought our rain shoes and jacket, but we honestly didn’t notice the wet weather because we were pretty distracted by, well, the doughnuts, and the stories of each of the shops we visited and city’s history in between. Highly recommend for kids, couples, students, foodies and everyone in between—including locals! Thanks to our guide also for giving us a fresh (and delicious) take on this city!!

This tour was a great time! Was really fun to try 4 different types/places of donuts and learn some history of the city along the way. The tour guide was really friendly and knowledgable as well. Price was definitely affordable too. Would recommend to anyone interested in donuts and a walking tour. Federal donut with strawberry/lavender was a delightful flavor surprise!

Charlie and Tiago did their best to give us a very interesting and memorable tour. I liked how Charlie presented the history of the famous doughnuts in Philly with background of the history of the famous city landmarks, as well as that of the Philly Cheesesteak! I was also delighted to hear about the history of the presence of the squirrels in the city. It was bizarre as it was entertaining to know. To appreciate history using the senses was an astounding experience for me than just see arts in the museum I could never appreciate well enough.

We went last weekend and we were with Joe, a college history professor. We had so much fun. Our favorite was Dottie’s Donuts. It was good weather and we heard so many interesting stories about the background of Philly and lots of history. We LOVED it. Thanks so much Joe!

It was a very warm morning so our guides, Charlie and Patrick were attentive to keeping us comfortable, providing water, sticking with shaded areas and pacing the stops. The tour patter was interesting and funny. Charlie is a real wordsmith and Patrick, the serious voice, was easily heard with his own interesting histories. The stars were the donuts, a wonderful assortment of different kinds of donuts, plenty for everyone and extras for enjoying later.

Charlie and Patric were great guides. Fun facts about the city but also very knowledgeable on their donuts. Our favorite was Dottie’s vegan donuts. They were amazing and would have never known. Definitely a fun and tasty tour. Walking was not difficult and I even had a problematic knee that day. Our guides were understanding and did not make me feel rushed.

Thiago was a great guide. We got to see 4 donut shops and hear about several Philly neighborhoods. It was our first time seeing Reading Terminal Station, and it was to experience that with a local guide. My husband loves donuts, and he enjoyed tasting the different varieties. Highly recommend the tour! Very kid friendly, too.

I had to do a double take on trip advisor when I saw that there was an underground donut tour in philly and I immediately signed up! It was such a pleasant experience to see and learn about Philadelphia’s history over some of the freshest donuts in town; they even have Vegan donuts! I would highly recommend this tour.

Who knew that donuts could be so much fun!! Our tour guide, Joe, was so much more knowledgeable about the city of Philadelphia than almost anyone I know. Treat your kids to a history lesson with donuts mixed in! The two hour tour was just long enough. Be sure to wear walking shoes because you really get to walk off the donuts! I do agree with Tracy F that it would've been nice to choose the donut we wanted, (we were a smaller group), but we all loved the donuts that were chosen for us!! This is such a good idea and great for the city of Philadelphia! I'm not even a donut fan but my friends convinced me and now I'm ready to try more donuts! Thanks, Joe! It was an awesome tour!!
