What to expect
Why ride when you can glide? Riding on a Segway isn’t rocket science, but it’s important to know how to maneuver one, especially gliding around a large metropolitan area like downtown Philly. So this tour begins with a brief but thorough training session to make sure everyone feels comfortable and knowledgeable about their Segway. Additionally, all passengers must weight between 99 and 300lbs (44 and 136kg) to participate. With the training out of the way, it’s time to hit the open road. If you have opted for the shorter Segway tour around Philadelphia, cruise a loop from the Historic District and Penn’s Landing to the Delaware River and South Street neighborhoods. Check out over 15 attractions, like the historic First Bank of the United States, the 9th Street Italian Market — the oldest and largest outdoor market in the United States — the folk art environs of the Magic Gardens and the various churches attended by William Penn, where the Quaker leader (who fought against religious oppression) practised what he preached. On the longer Segway tour option, continue along the loop, passing by Elfreth's Alley, America's oldest continuously inhabited residential street, and the Betsy Ross House, believed to be the very site where the the first American Flag was sewn. Glide by Independence Hall, birthplace of the U.S. Declaration of Independence and Constitution, and the magnificent homes of Society Hill. Continue on to the Avenue of the Arts, Rittenhouse Square and Fitler Square before traveling along the Schuylkill River to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the famous stairs from the movie Rocky. Finally, it’s off to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and the Rodin Museum before winding through some of the city’s back streets, en route to the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and Chinatown, where the tour comes to an end.

The Best Way to Tour Philly!
May 2021
Segwaying is the only way I'm going to tour from now on! Ha! Our tour guide was D! He was very funny, personable and super knowledgable not only about the city, but about how to operate the Segway. He worked with each of us individually to make sure that we had a basic understanding of how the Segway worked, and he did not officially start the tour until everyone was comfortable operating their respective Segway. Throughout the tour he continually checked on us to make sure that we were safe. He also took plenty of videos and pictures that he shared with the group once the tour ended. Great guy! Great personality. I highly recommend this tour, and I highly recommend D!

Great tourguide, great overall experience
May 2021 • Couples
D was a very skilled, experienced, patient and knowledgeable tourguide. He really made the experience worthwhile. We did the 1 hour tour and he made it worthwhile. This is all in spite of the fact that it was our first time. There were no problem with our equipment, and he took some really great pictures.

Informative & Fun!
May 2021
Barry lived up to his excellent reviews...such a class act. None of us had been on a Segway before; the lesson at the beginning and a bit of 1:1 for each of us was really helpful. Throughout the tour we were given a heads up what to do and what to avoid in order to stay safe. Our family as well as the other 4 people on our tour all did well. Barry's calm, controlled demeanor goes a long way to ensuring everyone's success.

We saw so much of the City and learned a lot of fun facts along the way. The earbuds were a perfect way to hear everything and the Segway definitely got more second nature as we went. Bring a solid pair of comfortable sneakers!

Parking is street only. We had 2 cars with us so one went into a Holiday Inn Express lot across the way for $20 when we couldn't find enough spaces. Noticed that the other folks on our tour walked in from somewhere else.

There are storage bags on each Segway if you have some belongings with you that you want to take along. There is a restroom at the shop but none along the way. Barry took pictures for us of all the sights and then air dropped them when we got back to the shop. That's one of the best parts about having a tour guide is not worrying about capturing everything and just enjoying the moment knowing the pictures are covered.

If you find yourself in Philly we highly recommend this outfit!

What a fun experience! I was extremely apprehensive because I didn’t want to hurt myself. Barry was so patient and allowed all in our group to feel comfortable with the Segway before the tour. He was informative, funny, and quite a pleasure. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants a fun way to see the city.

Must do for any new visitors to Philly
This tour really shows just how gorgeous this city is. There is so much history and so much to see in this city. Barry was an awesome tour guide and he takes lots of photos to give to you once the tour is over and knows so much about the city (and since he'sa local, will even give good tips on where to find good food). Book the 2 hour tour and I promise you will have a blast.

Tour Review
Nov 2020
The tour covers a lot of history and a large portion of the city. The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable. I would not recommend this for anyone with back, knee, ankle, or foot problems. The tour is very long and the Segway puts a lot of pressure on your lower body (especially the feet).
