About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Quest277524626830 contributionsDO THIS TOUR!! So much fun!!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! If you have a few hours to spare, this is the best bang for your buck! We got to try several different cheese steaks, learned a lot about Philly and saw a lot of the city.. all by segway! Such a great time and our tour guide Pik was AMAZING!! He was so knowledgeable(and funny) about Philly and we had such a great time with him! If you go and get Pik ask him about the “Philly Taco”. The segway was pretty easy to learn to ride too so don’t let that discourage you!Written October 3, 2023
- Sightseer296792436070 contributionsAsk for Sarge!Sarge was a great guide! He took us to all the best places and taught us so much history! It was great hearing the stories of someone who grew up in the city! We had never ridden a Segway before but Sarge gave us some pointers and after a few minutes it was a breeze!Written September 7, 2023
- joefocht530 contributionsThe real cheesesteakMy sister took me there for a real philly cheesesteak before returning home. It was great and the fries were very good. Get the cheese wiz for the real taste.Written September 2, 2023
- Resort731450 contributionsFirst time using Segway and Cheesesteak tour great.Very good tour. First time using Segway. Good training and became very intuitive quickly. Tour guide, Vik I think, was good at anticipating the situation and making sure group was safe.Written August 24, 2023
- Andrea H0 contributionsFun way to see the city, cheesesteaks was bonus and Pik was a great tour guide.Different way to experience the city, loved it! Added bonus was trying and comparing cheesesteaks around the city. Would recommend!Written August 19, 2023
- Cheryl T0 contributionsPik was the best guide!Pik was the best. So personable, knowledgeable, and just fun! Great experience! A must do in Philadelphia. Highly recommend, but come hungry:)Written August 11, 2023
- itsamandalim0 contributionsNothin' cheesy about this amazing tour! What a fun afternoon spent on Segway eatin' cheesesteaks - our tour guide Mike was patient, careful, and kind, and made sure that even us first-time Segway riders were comfortable and taken care of. The cheesesteaks were awesome, but Mike's tour of Philly (as a lifelong local) was the standout part of this experience. We saw nearly every part of the city and learned great fun facts along the way - all while feasting on Philly's namesake hoagie! I'd recommend this tour to anyone who loves food, wants to see the city, and is looking for a fun, lighthearted activity to do in the city.Written July 9, 2023
- Sarah M0 contributionsWith Onions, With Whiz, With Mike!We did the tour 7 years ago and loved it so much that we did it twice. It was easy to call Philly by Segway ahead of time with any questions. Mike our guide is awesome and has been a guide for years. He makes it all seamless - many who do this were on a Segway for the very first time and it truly goes great. It was safe, informative, TASTY, and we highly recommend it. My father who is 75 y/o attended, and Mike was able to make sure he was safe, kept up with the group, and had all his many questions answered.Written July 4, 2023
- 204suef0 contributionsA good experienceCici was our guide. She was very accommodating and helpful. We enjoyed the segways. We were on a gluten free tour so the sandwiches were smaller and we missed Gino’s. We were still full before the end of the day and took some leftovers. We felt like we saw a variety of neighborhoods.Written July 2, 2023
- Culture5476250 contributionsIt wasn't only the cheesesteaks that were deliciousCicis jokes, scenery, and not so well known facts. Great personality. Not to mention good cheesesteaksWritten May 26, 2023
- Melissa33500 contributionsHistory and foodWe had a great time with Sarge ! We hit 4 cheesesteak stops and they were all yummy . I’m not sure that I want to see a cheesesteak again anytime soon but the tour was so fun . Sarge gave us an historical dissertation as we Segwayed around !! Who knew Benjamin Franklin invented so much stuff ?! Definitely recommend !Written May 22, 2023
- L4950MGvickiw0 contributionsMike F is the best Segway tour guide!Mike F was our tour guide & he was fantastic!! He knew the area & told many interesting stories and tid bits. In fact, we encouraged him to write a book about his tours and all his experiences. Come hungry because you get to sample 5 different cheesesteaks. Riding the segways was fun & safe. We were provided with a lesson before leaving. We also had a 1 way radio so we could hear all of Mike’s commentary. I highly recommend & be sure to ask for Mike!! Plus, do t worry about taking photos because Mike will take lots of photos for you.Written May 18, 2023
- glendal6520 contributionsBest Way to Sample CheesesteaksThis was a great way to visit different parts of Philadelphia while exploring various types of the food they are known for. We had a great time learning about the history of the area as we rode Segways through different districts. And then we got to try a bite of 5 different cheesesteaks and were able to compare and see which ones were our favorites! (Don't expect Geno's or Pat's to be the best!) Cici was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable about the different neighborhoods but also kept us safe as we navigated through traffic and pedestrians. It was a great tour overall, I very highly recommend it!Written May 17, 2023
- suen1810 contributionsFun, safe and well fed plusMy son had never gone on a Segway. I was nervous to get on one. James made the trip safe and encouraged me along the way. He took pictures of the whole route. He gave us a history lesson as we rode on the Segways. He took us to many yummy cheesesteak restaurants. Fun, safe and well fed.Written May 11, 2023

The tour covers a lot of history and a large portion of the city. The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable. I would not recommend this for anyone with back, knee, ankle, or foot problems. The tour is very long and the Segway puts a lot of pressure on your lower body (especially the feet).

Segways were great and it should have been a really fun trip for our family with a teen. Unfortunately we had an inexperienced guide and it was not great. Here’s what happened on our trip:
1) Radios were used to hear the guide, but throughout the trip, but nearly all participants complained about not being able to hear. The radios my family had were so static-filled,
We caught about 50% of what was said.
2) Unfortunately, that was likely a blessing. I had hoped to learn about the history of the city and sights. The tour guide spent most of the time talking about opinions from her personal life, and very little about Philadelphia. I learned about the slave trade in the Caribbean, her Netflix habits, incorrect information about admission prices for things “we might want to plan to see”, her opinion that all world religions “are the same” after passing a church and not telling us why the church was significant to the city & we need to stop and befriend homeless so that we earn karma and they know we care. (I’m not sure it’s safe for my teen to stop and befriend strangers)
3) The day the tour was booked had an extreme heat advisory with a forecast of 100-105+ It was up to the participants to make sure we had enough water with us at the start of the tour, but no stops were made so that more water could be obtained or to drink the water we had. One family had someone get sick from the activity/heat. Tour guide didn’t know what to do and didn’t have extra water on hand. So dangerous.
4) At start of the tour, one of the participants almost fell off dodging oncoming traffic. Again, tour guide was flustered and group was told to “stick together”.
There is no way this inexperienced guide should have been out solo.

We love to segway in every city we possibly can and our experience was excellent. Our guide Ceyanay was attentive, knowledgeable and kept safety in mind the entire time. We maneuvered through streets, sidewalks, bridges and more to see the main hot spots in the city and she shared stories about the rich history and more. Excellent guide and excellent tour to see the city.

Our guide was Sophia who is a native Philadelphian attending Penn. Besides being very personable, she was very informative and extremely safety conscientious especially in dealing with Philly drivers. The tour was a great way to see old city Philly while Sophia gave background info and historical tidbits along the ride. Our first time riding a Segway and we highly recommend the tour. We look forward to doing the cheesesteak tour in the Spring.

This tour really shows just how gorgeous this city is. There is so much history and so much to see in this city. Barry was an awesome tour guide and he takes lots of photos to give to you once the tour is over and knows so much about the city (and since he'sa local, will even give good tips on where to find good food). Book the 2 hour tour and I promise you will have a blast.

This was such a great family experience. Mike was a wonderful guide, extremely safe (he was great with maneuvering around double-parked cars and keeping us in the bike lane, etc.) Mike snapped some iconic pics of my family, and really went the extra mile to make sure everyone had a great time and learned some fun facts about Philly. Definitely recommend this!

Terrific tour with a great host! Uaphi kept us moving at a great pace, educated us about the sights of the city and courteously navigated traffic and pedestrians. A great experience made amazing by the pictures taken by our guide, shared at the end of the trip. Fun and informative!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!
First time in Philly so I decided to look for fun stuff to do around, due to the raving reviews, I decided to try this one out despite the price of almost a 100bucks. I arrived about thirty minutes early, got the training in and started out the tour, while heading out, the tour guide began asking me if I felt confident riding, granted this is my first time, I said I definitely felt confident enough. Less than 15minutes into the ride, this guy stopped the ride to yell at me in a very condescending manner about not following in a straight line, I felt very insulted but calmly responded and told him I was following all the instructions. This is my first time riding this and I felt I was doing great, we continued the tour and at a stop, something got into my eyes and I tried to remove it and slightly brushed the sidewalk, thereby falling off and that was it, some more condescending words and the tour guide kicked me off.
If this tour company is going to employ guides, best make sure patience is a requirement, I am an adult and not intentionally trying to mess-up a trip for which I paid almost a 100dollars, so not sure why the tour guide kept saying I was refusing to follow instructions when it was barely an innocent mistake.
Based on the overall reviews, I’d say while other tour guides may be great, but Save urself the likelihood of being assigned to this condescending tour guide and go somewhere else.

We are very sorry that you had a bad experience and weren’t able to finish your 2-hour Segway tour. As you would have seen from our reviews, we pride ourselves on our many 5-star reviews, and we believe a very big factor in this is our focus on safety with all of our guests, both at our training facility and on the streets. We want to always be sure that our Segway riders feel confident before they leave our facility and we ask that they listen clearly to their guide at all times, maintaining a safety-first approach while out on the roads so that they and everyone around them has fun in a safe environment. In this case, and after a number of incidents including moving into other lanes of traffic and not understanding the importance of the additional width you take up while on your Segway, our guide felt that he couldn’t continue the tour with you safely and therefore asked that you end your tour prematurely. We are very sorry that this had to happen and would be happy to refund your payment in full or try again on a new tour.

This was a great tour! D was patient and made sure everyone could navigate a Segway before we left. He used hand signals and voice to slow or stop. He told us about everything along the way and warned us about possible holes or other debris in the road. One thing I liked about this tour is that we were all hooked up with ear buds so we could hear everything he said without having to strain to hear him. He took a lot of pictures and airdropped them to our phones. I would do this tour again!

A really great way to see key Philadelphia landmarks in two hours without taking a single step! After 30 minutes Segway instruction (we were complete novices) you’re ready to go. Mother duck Mike was brilliant, leading his ducklings safely around the streets and parks of this busy and famous city. All key sites were visited and historical and modern anecdotes imparted throughout via your own personal headset. For a taster to the city centre this trip can’t be beaten.

Given the half hour training, is the actual tour 2 hours or an hour and a half? Trying to decide if 1 hour would be not enough, but 2 hours be too much.

It’s two hours after training.

Do you get to stop at all and see any of the sights you look at?
Written May 10, 2019
You mainly “drive by” most sites though you can stop for photos at most. (So you don’t stop & actually “tour” any of the attractions- but it’s a great way to become familiar with what’s where, get some background info - and then you can easily go back to certain attractions afterwards if you want (which is sort of nice so that you can spend as much or as little time at the attractions that interest you most.) On the Segway tour we got to run the Rocky steps at the museum (if we wanted to), but then (separately) we also went back and spent a few hours walking through the museum. Segway tours are a fun way to get a general lay of the area!
