About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- JBR450 contributionsExcellent walking tourGood tour. Covered lots of places. Excellent overview for first time visitors to Philly. Our guide Joseph did a great job of making the history "come alive".Written October 10, 2024
- 536yuchenz0 contributionsHighly recommend the Revolution and Founding Fathers TourI took the Revolution and Founding Fathers Tour led by Kyle. It was such a fun experience. Kyle talked about not only historical facts, but also details of the stories, characteristics and antiques of the founding fathers. After the tour, I now know which father was the cranky one, who was young and energetic and who was old and frail (physically), where they hang out and had a beer or two regularly, who were good friends and who didn’t care for each other as much, and so on. History is not only dates plus events - it’s real people with real feelings facing real world challenges. And that’s what Kyle showed us today. Loved it! Definitely recommend it!Written October 8, 2024

- Denny G0 contributionsOutstanding walking tourWe really enjoyed all the little historical nuggets that Joseph, our guide, provided. He was very knowledgeable and provided an excellent tour around the old city area. Even on some of the smaller, less known landmarks, we learned quite a bit of background historical information that you wouldn’t hear on a regular large bus tour. Would highly recommend to friends and family visiting Philadelphia.Written October 6, 2024

I went this past weekend when it was absolutely bone-chilling cold, and Britnee was the coolest tour guide I have ever had. The tact and eloquence of her witty delivery makes the information easier to grasp and also has a hint of spooking you out(but in the most gentle way possible.) it was also so cold I could not feel my thighs or feet and absolutely could not handle walking like a normal person. It was STILL worth every minute.
I would highly recommend this tour, and now that I am aware of it, I will be coming back in the warmer weather with a friend and I will be limping more tours together for the day and I will end it with this tour!

Our tour guide, Ted, being a history lover, as well as a history teacher enthusiastically led us through old Town Philly. The depth of his knowledge was engaging. The stories he told were captivating and by the end we wished the 2 hour tour could continue on. Would highly recommend this tour. Philly has a ton of history, inspirational and gruesome alike.

I enjoyed seeing the city in a “darker” light and learning the unusual stories about Philadelphia. I forgot our tour guides name, but he was so friendly and knowledgeable. You could tell he loved his job and his passion for history made the tour even more special.

The tour was great. It combined some fund and racy facts with a tour of many of the important buildings and sites if old city. The guide was funny and kept us all engaged through the tour. I recommend the tour to anyone interested in history or just looking for a fun tour of the old city area.

Funny, educational, and very interesting. We had the misfortune of being stuck in a rain storm for part of it but our tour guide, Britnee, stuck it out with us. She has a great personality and was very engaging!
I definitely recommend these tours as a great way to see part of the city and learn some history but it's not very scary/spooky. I always love ghost tours for the aforementioned reason but the guide makes all the difference. We definitely recommend Britnee!

Wonderful tour, especially if you like learning about the parts of history left out of the textbooks. Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly loved the subject he was talking about. I would definitely recommend this tour to adults who are looking for an interesting and entertaining evening activity in Philly!

Toni was our tour guide for a bachelorette party and she was AMAZING. Our group was full of locals who were familiar with Philly history and she kept us on our toes! She was very entertaining, so funny, and full of great stories about the history of our hometown that we never knew. This is the perfect activity for anyone visiting the Philly area. Highly recommend.

We had the pleasure to attend a personal tour with Sarah, who was as knowledgeable as she was hilarious. The tour was entertaining, educational, and overall a wonderful way to spend the evening. Sarah skillfully weaved anecdotes, history, and fun facts into a tale that left us wanting more. The best part about the tour was that it didn’t feel like a tour at all, but rather like a walk with an old friend. We most definitely recommend this experience.

The night tour starts at 8pm… it asks that everyone shows up around 7:45 to check in

How do you leave a contactless gratuity? I did not have cash on me the night I went and I would like to tip Ted. Your site said it had it as an option but I can't find it.

I don't see anything about when the Adult tour starts, just the 5 pm family friendly tour. Does the adult tour start at 5pm as well?
