      Great introduction to Philly
Jay led an outstanding tour! Lots of great history—William Penn, Quakers, Ben Franklin, Betsy Ross, development of Philly. All explained with great humor and insight. Entertaining for all ages. Walked by the Meeting House, carpenter Hall, Christ Church, oldest street, independence hall, Liberty Bell and more. Highly recommend!

      Loved historic Philadelphia ♥️
Never been to Philadelphia before & this was a great way to see the old city & a lot of history as well. Seamus was an excellent tour guide! Well versed, heavy on the individual history of each stop. Humorous too!! Highly recommend!

      Historic Walking Tour of Philadelphia
Our tour hide, Tom Cortney, was outstanding! He was very knowledgeable of the history and took time to thoughtfully explain each site. We left feeling as if we had an ideal overview of the the impact that Philadelphia had on our nation’s history.

Friendly, fascinating and incredibly well informed!
Greg gave us a very informed introduction to the city and its history. As a Quaker I was obviously interested in how the early Friends such as William Penn had felt led to shape the city as they did, and when quizzed, Greg know all the answers. So many tour guides just repeat the same old stuff to every group, but Greg made us feel that this tour had been put together just for us! Brilliant and highly recommended.

Savor the rich History of our Country in Philadelphia
We felt lucky with a great weather day, a perfect one for a walk thru Old City Philadelphia history with Seamus, our Guide. Seamus was so helpful , offering suggestions for our weekend in Philly, and was also very knowledgable, while still keeping us on time with the tour. I recommend having a refueling bite to eat after the tour- cheesesteaks are plentiful in the area, and then continuing the on your own for as much or little time you have. Lots of interesting things to see.

      EXCELLENT
Our tour guide Seamus was outstanding ! Highly recommend this tour. In an hour and a half he covered so much. Because he is a native and had been a tour guide for so long and had worked at the Museum of the American Revolution he was very knowledgeable. Lots of great information. We had our elderly mother with us and the pace was very comfortable. All of the highlights were covered and it allowed us to determine what things we wanted to see next. We ended at the Liberty Bell.

      Wonderful Tour
Our group of 10 adults recently joined this tour while in Philadelphia for a wedding. It was a short, easy walking tour highlighting many of the must sees in the City of brotherly love. We learned a lot about the founding of the city and the USA thanks to our wonderful tour guide Jay. His touches of humor and wit were welcome additions to the historical facts we learned. Would definitely recommend this tour and Jay.

Excellent tour…ask for Greg Fender to be your guide
I 100% recommend this tour! I chose this tour because it had very high ratings and because of the duration. 2 hours is the perfect amount of time. We only had one day to see as much as possible of the Old City in Philly and this tour accomplished that! While the tour does not go into the various historic buildings, it goes by them and our tour guide Greg Fender did an amazing job discussing the history mixed with a flare of humor! I think we lucked out getting Greg as our guide. His passion for history is evident but his communication skills and ability to keep all engaged for ~2 hours was awesome. My 10 -year old daughter was even captivated the whole time and said it only felt like the tour was 30 minutes because she had so much fun!

I called ahead to see if they take service animals. My dog is registered as an emotional support dog for my extreme anxiety. My therapist can attest. They said they did take service animals but not other dogs “in case people are allergic.” When I got there the driver had no issue. The tour guide came back to where we were situated and started screaming at us in front of the other guests about how he talked to me earlier and I am lying about my dog. He said it puts him in a bad position and stomps off. My dog sat quietly the whole time and was a better guest than the humans on board. Everyone around us loved him and had no issue. My anxiety was elevated and I couldn’t fully enjoy myself. The host tried to joke it off on the mic and he came to apologize saying he was having a “rough day”. We tried to make the best of it but I was so humiliated, anxious and upset that it tainted my experience that I paid good money for. Proceed with caution if you have a service animal. That was not an enjoyable experience.

Hello. I spoke with you on the phone and on the trolley. While on the phone before the tour, I asked you if your dog was a service animal. You replied it was not. All of our calls are recorded for quality assurance and I’m happy to share that. Our trolley tours are also recorded, and I’m happy to share that too. There was no screaming. I am so sorry for whatever miscommunication is going on; I simply stated I didn’t appreciate being lied to and having my wishes, as a small business owner, being completely ignored. Even after all of that, I allowed you and your non-service animal to remain on the tour. Thus, there was no discrimination to you or your dog. I hope this clears up some of your concerns.

I brought a big crew (a lot of my family was visiting) on this tour and we had an absolute blast - couldn't recommend it more! We went on a very cold, rainy/snowy day, and despite the miserable weather we still had so much fun. Tim is a great tour guide and kept us laughing the entire way. I can't wait to do more of these tours in the future.

This was our first trip to Philly ahead of our upcoming move to the city. The balance of historic content, humor, and fun made this experience the highlight of our vacation and helped us fall in love with our new home city. Tim's passion for the city and his commitment to ensuring visitors leave with a favorable impression shine through. This trolley tour covered a lot of ground in the time we had together including the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Rocky steps/statue which were on the only things on our to-do list that weren't in walking distance from Center City. The two bathroom stops were important because we were enjoying our BYOB beverages throughout the tour. If you're looking for a break from traversing the city on foot and don't mind being the subject of a joke or two, grab a six pack (or two) and book this experience!

    Aug 2023 • Family
Our family enjoyed our tour of Philadelphia in August. Warren was a friendly, energetic, outgoing tour guide who made everyone feel welcome! The highlight of the tour was running up the Art Museum steps and waving to the Rocky statue. However, contrary to its name, this "family tour" is really not suitable for families. Our children (ages 14 and 11) were by far the youngest people on the tour; everyone else was in their late 20s or older. There was a distinct party vibe on the bus -- lots of loud music, swearing, and suggestive/sexual humor (both from the tour guide and from the lyrics of the songs that were played). We enjoyed learning several facts about Philadelphia from Warren, who was clearly knowledgeable about the city and its history, but the informational parts of the tour added up to less than 10 minutes out of the 2 hours we spent on the bus. For adults who are looking for a fun outing combining a bit of sightseeing with a lot of dance music and BYOB, this is a great choice. For families with kids under the age of 16, or for people who are hoping to learn more than a few superficial facts about the city and its history, look elsewhere.

We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear that you enjoyed some aspects of the tour, particularly the energetic and friendly nature of our guide, Warren, as well as the iconic run up the Art Museum steps. We do understand your concerns about the suitability of the tour for families. We aim to provide an entertaining and informative experience for all our guests. It's unfortunate to hear that some elements of the tour, such as the music and humor, didn't align with your expectations for a family-friendly experience. We apologize for any discomfort this may have caused. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we will take it into consideration as we continue to improve our tours. We do offer a range of tours, some of which may be better suited for families with younger children or those looking for a more in-depth historical focus. We encourage you to explore our other tour options if you decide to visit Philadelphia again. Thank you for choosing to tour with us, and we hope you have the opportunity to experience a different tour with us in the future that better matches your preferences.

Our group was really excited about this tour and even dressed up to get into the “colonial spirit”. We had such a great time! It was a unique way to see the city and our tour guide made it super fun and memorable for us all. I’m so glad we could support a family business and would recommend this to anyone!

Shirley and Warren were the most fun tour guides I have ever met. Warren was energetic, funny and inclusive. Shirley was a great bus driver with a group of rowdy individuals who were having the best time. We all became friends and laughed the entire time. Have not had so much fun in a long time and may come back just to go on this tour again.

Your words have us dancing like leaves in the wind! As Walt Whitman once said, 'I celebrate myself, and sing myself,' and it seems like Shirley and Warren brought a whole chorus of joy to your tour. It warms our hearts to know you had such a fantastic time – your laughter echoes in the poetic halls of our memories. Whenever you're ready for an encore, we'll be here, ready to spin another verse of fun and friendship!

Tim was funny and provided lots of interesting history and facts about the sights of Philly. Being able to sit and enjoy happy hour during the tour was fun and relaxing. It was very convenient to be dropped off to see a few sites up close such as the art museum steps.

It was ok. I thought we would have some more history instead of a comedian talking about the people who attended. It was like going to a comedy show and the comedian picks on the audience to get a laugh. He also played music off his phone and danced the entire time. Not that either was good but not worth $50 per person!

We found the Historical Trolly Tour weeks ahead of our visit to Philadelphia and we are so happy we booked it. Tim (the tour guide) was awesome! He even held the trolley for me as I sprinted 7 blocks with an ice cream sundae in hand! We learned so much more about the city in the two hours than we have from any other previous tours. The balance of laughter and learning was perfect! If you are coming to the city, we HIGHLY recommend finding time in your schedule for this experience! Plus! How many times can you say we got to drink on a trolley?

We were so excited for this tour, and at first, it seemed like we would have an amazing time. However, it seems there were some difficulties and, rather than feeling like those were explained to us and the tour modified, it seemed Warren just decided to sing more and take us to Whole Foods to pee.

I completely understand that there was a protest at city hall and it upended some of the plans. But I didn't feel like I got any history once we passed the Mint, and the jokes and dancing became too much. I also wish there had been more explanation of how the tour was being changed due to the protest, and what we would be doing instead.

All in all, I'm pretty bummed I spent $50 for this.
