Though it was hot, it was still a great tour. You only get to see a small section of the city, but it focuses mostly on the Revolutionary War area.
The meeting location was simple to figure out and our tour guide was great. Like many Philly attractions, he really contextualized the period and the thinking of the time instead of just spouting trivia facts. This guided in the understanding of the men who created the government to our city. I even told him I thought he'd make a great history teacher because of the way he presented the facts.

It guide was very knowledgeable, but the tour doesn't include any entrances to the sights along the way. Most of the museums are free, so make sure you plan enough time to walk it again and see the museums that interest you. It was a 2 mile, 90 minute tour.

This was the best thing to do if you want to learn about all the History located in Philadelphia. Our tour guide - Lee - was phenominal. He knew so much History and the 1 1/2 hour tour was not nearly enough time to absorb all the knowledge he has. Allow yourself enough time to park your vehicle and find the meeting place. We didn't and then were rushed to get to the meeting place on time. There is a large visitor center where you can get answers/maps to help you find out where you need to go, but the National Park Ranger was very crabby and not nice at all. In fact, most of the "security" and National Park staff were not freindly at all. You need to go thru a security check at the Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. EVERYTHING closes at 5:00 in the historical area. We spent about 5 hours seeing all the amazing History buildings, eating a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and seeing the Rocky statue. We could have been there all day if we had the time. It's a lot of walking so be prepared. As for the Tour, it's HIGHLY recommended. Totally worth the money.

We enjoyed our constitutional walking tour with Connor immensely. He was a fantastic guide who answered many questions and was very knowledgeable of the area. He told us many facts about many of the famous founding fathers of our country that we were unaware of and astounded to hear the truth about. The tour was not long but very interesting. Connor took us to many historical sites and museums that we could go back to after the tour. Many of which were free. This allowed us to visit these museums later during our visit to Philadelphia instead of wandering around aimlessly.

We fully enjoyed our walking tour through the colonial district of Philadelphia! Connor did a wonderful job of relating the history of the buildings along with interesting anecdotes about the founding fathers (and mothers). The walk was very manageable, the stops were well paced, and the dialog was entertaining. We suggest you do this introductory tour first, then go back to enter the buildings of your choice.

John did an awesome job as tour guide for us. He was very knowledgeable and made the tour interactive, which made it fun. We were able to take pictures along the way, and ask as many questions as we wanted, he made it our tour. He spoke clearly through his mask, and walked backwards facing us, much of the way, to ensure we could hear him. The tour covered most all of the expected points of interest. For those interested in taking the tour, it was all outside, we did not go into any buildings. To see inside the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, save enough time before or after the tour to see inside. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in our nation's history.

This tour was a great experience. Our guide was excellent. It was just my son and I on our tour. He told us tons of information at each stop and pointed out what time each place was open until if we wanted to go back after the tour and where to go to enter the building. We learned where all the branches of government were located, what their decision making processes were, what location important documents were signed and person information about our forefathers. My 16 year old son and I learned so much we didn’t know. He was extremely knowledgeable and would take questions. You do have to stay on schedule to get to each location so you need to be able to walk fast paced. It could be hard for some people to keep up. He said we walked the length of 20 football fields when we were done. Bring water and wear comfortable shoes. You end up where you started and the visitor center is across the street with bathrooms and air conditioner. I took lots of pictures during the tour and we are going to go back and look at them and remember what they were. It’s very interesting and informative. It’s definitely worth it. I

We had a great time with Cregg on this tour. Despite an insufferable heat, he managed to keep us engaged and entertained. The itinerary and narration gave us a concise recap on the main events in American history and where they too place in Philly.
I highly recommend!

Melissa was AWESOME. I travel fairly often, and try to do some sort of guided tour anytime I visit a major city. I have never had a guide as enthusiastic as Melissa. You could tell she loved the city and the history she was passing on to us. It really made it that much more enjoyable for us as tourists. Melissa, thank you for your passion and energy, and keep it up! Don't ever stop teaching people about “the room where it happened”, and thanks for teaching us about the new city hall, and the William Penn statues! Super awesome bits of trivia I’ll keep with me!

Leslie, our guide, was excellent. She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and friendly. She also went above and beyond to help a member of our party who is hard of hearing. She sent the written transcript of our tour to us ahead of time so my sister could read It. She also worked so hard to speak clearly and wait for noisy traffic to go by before addressing us. We all enjoyed our tour and learned so much. Highly recommended.

I don’t know how helpful this will be…..I don’t remember about parking real close to Constitution Center. We parked our car in a garage next to our hotel (across from Reading Terminal Market) and walked to the center. We actually walked everywhere we went (or road the purple bus) so I didn’t pay much attention to parking.
About how long or how many blocks is the walking tour my husband is not as much of a walker as I am

The total tour took about 1 hour and 20 minutes, but this included a series of short walks (no more than a block at a time) followed by pauses at the various sites to listen to information provided by the entertaining tour guide. These breaks allowed plenty of rest stops, which made the walk very manageable. The total tour is confined to a relatively compact historical district, not spread out over long distances.

We will be in Philadelphia for a day and was wondering what the best way to get around is. For sure we want to see Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and Benjamin Franklin‘s attraction . We appreciate any and all suggestions to help us get the most out of Philadelphia in a day. Thank you
Does tour go inside independence hall?

No it doesn’t. It doesn’t go inside any of the buildings but provides a lot of information about them! I highly recommend doing both the walking tour and then visiting the inside of Independence Hall!
