About the operator

- eddySouthShields0 contributionsThe 9/11 Museum is such a wonderful museum and an emotional one .The 9/11 Museum is such a wonderful museum and an emotional one . There was a bit of a queue to get in but it was worth it. The displays are heart breaking and gives you an insight to the destruction on that day and all the people that lost their lives. Its a must when in New YorkWritten September 19, 2024
- Lori M0 contributions911 Memorial Museum! This was simply amazing, and heartbreaking! They did an amazing job with the museum all the work and dedication was simply outstanding! Very sobering and a lot of tears! Well worth every pennyWritten August 17, 2024
- chargerpow0 contributionsSolemnPretty moving 3xperience. Very immersive. Really hits you in the gut. I took my 20 yo daughters and they asked lots of questions. Always heard about it but seeing it all is different. Took over 2 hours to go through. The crushed fire engine got me. Just imagining those guys went in to help and never came out.Written July 13, 2024
- Pioneer7421450 contributionsScary!Wow! What a mess! We Were told to meet at Pier 36. There is nothing in that area but a busy street and large industrial buildings. An angry man kept yelling at our Lyft driver not to let us off because 36 was closed and we needed to go to 35. After driving around for some time, we finally got out and while we were at Pier 35, the walk was endless. One man with a tiny food stand and that was it. No one at Pier 35 except other bewildered guests. The slip for the cruise was at the other end of the Pier. More walking. No boat. It finally showed up 30 minutes late. The boat was so poorly moored that the gang plank would spontaneously bounce into the air while you were walking on it. No excuses. No apologies. Just a comment that sine the Pier change was temporary they didn't feel they needed to notify anyone. Getting back to the street to catch another Lyft, we had to walk through a crowd of people aggressively trying to get onto a riverboat! Nice cruise but a horrible experience with no consideration for paying customers.Written June 8, 2024
- Velox0 contributions"Lest We Forget"A reminder of a world changing moment in history and the human impact should serve to remind us all of the fragility of the systems we create to "govern" us. Being something of a history nerd - especially the two 20th century world wars - the 911 Memorial Museum is a stark reminder of a moment in history which I can distinctly remember. As our guide said "almost everyone who was alive at the time of 9/11 can remember the exact moment when they learned of the attack." This is not something people of my generation learned about in class, but actually lived through the live news feeds, the fact that the evening of the 9/11 attack I was due to fly from Brussels to Newark, NJ and all flights in and out of NY airspace were cancelled. The tour was both shocking and at the same time uplifting. The resilience of people to find a way through the chaos, rescue personnel willing and eager to expose themselves to more danger to find and rescue their fellow human beings, the fact that the guide told the story on the very piece of ground where these events unfolded and spread across the world within moments, all made this one of the most memorable tours we've taken. Being British and as mentioned above a bit of a history nerd I'd like to borrow a couple of phrases from the WW1 and WW2 memorials around the world which are equally appropriate to 9/11. "Lest We Forget" and "We Will Remember Them". Keeping these tours going and reminding as many people as possible is important to the future of the world. Congratulations to all the team at the 9/11 Museum.Written May 20, 2024
- 6hitusa0 contributionsGuided tour of world trade centre 9/11 memorialThis tour is a must if you want to know about the world trade centre and what happened on 9/11. Our tour guide was Lee, he was compassionate, caring, asked us all the time if we were ok during the tour and very informative. He deserves a payriseWritten May 2, 2024
- ChristieT7270 contributionsDo not buy tickets from TripAdvisor.Do not buy tickets through trip advisor or viator as it’s a scam. We got to top of the rock ticketing and they told us there was no availability for the rest of the day and that we’d have to come back the following evening. Since we won’t be in nyc then we just wasted $200 for nothing.Written December 30, 2023
- thebracaglias0 contributionsWhy sell something you know is impossible? The crowds were in their fault, the knowledge that they were selling something that was untenable, was. I’m not sure if they’re irresponsible for marketing this, or if I’m irresponsible for falling for it.Written December 27, 2023
- kathysfgirl0 contributionsWhere are my tickets?Trying to get in touch with them is a nightmare- purchased tickets on 12:9- no email just a $500+ charge to my AMEXWritten December 27, 2023
- 7JohnW0 contributionsFantastic night viewAlmost went straight through.did not pre book Views were fantastic ,especially of the Empire state building Maybe not so high but wanted a night view as we did Empire state in dayWritten December 23, 2023
- Elric1230 contributionsPoor admin and u may not get to go on day you bookedGreat once you up there - really hard to get in as admin staff very surley - also if you arrive you may not get your slot until next day - very poorWritten December 16, 2023
- martinsm4360 contributionsAbsolute scam, BEWAREThis cruise never happened - bought tickets, went to pier. No ferry. Paypal or Tripadvisor did not even refund. Basically, a 100$ scam. DO NOT BUY.Written November 25, 2023
- Teamfranklin50 contributionsGreat views but horrible fumesThe views were absolutely amazing! And you get up close to the statue of liberty so well worth it. However the boat itself - interior was dirty, table cloths soiled and the boat had horrible exhaust fumes the whole time outside and inside. we had not experienced that before on other cruises a bit disappointing.Written October 25, 2023
- TCPSOL0 contributionsBe carefulI would be very careful to book this trip. Perhaps I was naive. ‘Open Ended ticket between 9am and 11pm does not mean that you are confirmed for any time between 9 and 11. It just means that you paid for your ticket (s). When you arrive you still have to wait in a line to get a confirmed time. The only times available were at 8:30pm that day, or 8pm the next day, otherwise no daytime slots were available for 4 days. These times did not work for our group and we were stuck for the time we were in New York. No refunds from TripAdvisor. I would recommend purchasing tickets directly from the ‘Top of the Rock’ website where you can also confirm and secure the available days and times and print out your tickets.Written October 25, 2023
- Rosey26450 contributionsDisappointed, tour person did not show. Had to buy another set of tickets. The tour person did not show, I had to buy tickets at the museum. We scrupulously followed directions, “meet at the Egyptian statue in the main lobby”. We arrived early and were among the first to enter. Proceeded immediately to the designated location. Started showing our tickets around; the museum’s tour desk kept telling us we were in the correct location. No one came forward to acknowledge our tickets. My wife was in contact with Jeffery, Viator Customer Service Agent. Try as he might, he could not resolve the issue. We waited until 10:40 and then bought another set of tickets. To say we were terribly disappointed is an understatement. We have applied for a refund.Written October 20, 2023
