About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- dustinmK6275XO0 contributionsGreat place! The coolest place. This place has everything you could possibly want to do. It's got indoor skiing and mini golf. I could spend all my free time here if it wasn't such a headache to get to.Written March 16, 2025
- Jon L0 contributionsA great time but don’t buy the $70 ticket unless you wanna go on literally everythingFrom reading the horror stories online, I thought this place wouldn’t be pretty but I will say it was a great time. If I had bought the $70 dollar ticket, i don’t think I would had a good time but the ability to pay per ride makes the park worth it… overall I would say I had a good time and will come back once the rides that are fixed. Also it’s a good atmosphere despite being indoors… Also It was great that you were able to enter the park without a ticket as it allowed a friend of ours to stay with us despite not going on any rides…. Fun time will likely be coming back later this year to try the thrill rides that I couldn’t because it was closed…Written March 8, 2025
- iamjujubites0 contributionsTake the Day, Go to the Mall!A word of caution, if you are coming to the American Dream from NYC Port Authority, read the bus times and instructions!! During the week, there are only two return trips so plan accordingly and buy your round trip tickets up front. The mall itself is huge! It was clean and the art installations were really cool. There is something in there for everybody; you can literally send a group into the mall with no plans and they will find something to do. Good for all ages. The food court I tried was great, quick service and hot food. 10/10 would recommend. Remember to wear comfortable shoes and they have lockers around the mall so you can store your stuff.Written March 3, 2025

Showed my QR CODE and she responds with "ticket ID number", I ask what's the point of the qr code and go no answer, No eye contact, was extremely rude and gave off the aura of either hating her job or her life maybe both. It has everything from food to close vehicles or indoor water park Nickelodeon universal a ice skating rink jewelry store shoe stores The works you name it it's got it my first time visiting here and we went to Nickelodeon. I bought tickets for everyone but I wish I would have known that I could have just bought tickets for one child and the oldest could have went in with me but did not have to ride the rides that would have saved me buying additional tickets due to the fact that they thought it was very childlike. But they do have roller coasters and other things that adults can enjoy. I wish I would have had time to go ice skating but I did not I will do it next time overall a good experienceWritten January 11, 2025
- abJ5909XO0 contributionsAn Amazing Mall to spend the day!! So much FUN!I am extremely fond of the American Dream Mall in New Jersey. I typically depart from my residence early on Saturdays or after work and drive to the American Dream Mall from New York City. The mall offers a wide array of activities and events, making it an enjoyable destination. There is an extensive selection of stores, restaurants, and fast-food establishments to choose from. The most notable feature of the mall is the abundance of activities and the overall enjoyment they provide. Among the many attractions are the iMuseum, Tilt, Angry Bird Golf, Nickelodeon Parks, Indoor Water Park, Sea Life Aquarium, Legoland, Big Snow and so much more. The sheer number of activities ensures that there is always something entertaining to engage in. I spend the entire day at the mall, and I find it to be a refreshing escape. The mall is well-maintained, with a pleasant temperature and ample lighting. The only issue I have is that many clothing and technology stores are closed on Sundays due to the Bergen County Blue Law. This law is considered restrictive and has resulted in significant revenue losses for the mall. Despite this, the mall remains open for activities and dining options. However, I strongly advocate for its closure on Sundays in accordance with the Blue Law. By allowing the mall to operate on Sundays, it incurs substantial financial losses and fails to generate substantial revenue. (This is my personal financial perspective.) Overall, the American Dream Mall is an exceptional destination for spending a day, whether solo or with family. I highly recommend it.Written January 3, 2025

Normally the noon year celebration consist of characters coming out dancing and performing for kids to enjoy followed with a spectacular celebration to the noon year. - F852JQinfo0 contributionsHoliday Rip OFF rulesThey usually have an option to buy an individual rides in Nickelodeon, like Paw Patrol playground, we did it a few times, but over this holiday weekend they denied that option. We came there with 4yo and 5yo that cannot do grown up kids rides, and they said we can't buy the tickets to playground only until January 2d. My kids were disappointed since I could not pay $180 for 2 kids for just a playground the they wanted to visit. I was told by the girl working the line there that this info was online, and I went online and couldn't find that info anywhere. And who searches the online rules every time you go there, especially when we came there many times? Very upset and dissipated. Will be going to other indoor playgrounds from now on, and not at this mall.Written December 30, 2024
- MatthewG32710 contributionsFoggy Views from the Dream WheelA Disappointing Experience Review: I recently visited American Dream Mall and decided to ride the iconic Dream Wheel. Unfortunately, my experience was severely impacted by the thick fog that had enveloped the area. While the wheel itself is impressive and the views on a clear day would undoubtedly be spectacular, the dense fog obscured everything. I couldn't see the surrounding cityscape, the Meadowlands, or even the other attractions within the mall. It felt like I was riding a Ferris wheel blindfolded. The staff at the Dream Wheel were friendly, but the fog was obviously beyond their control. Recommendation: I would strongly recommend checking the weather forecast before purchasing tickets for the Dream Wheel, especially if clear views are important to you. If fog is predicted, consider postponing your ride or exploring other attractions within the mall. I would also see if they're willing to give a discount for you to take the ride even if you know you won't be able to see anything. Unfortunately I was not offered anything for my inconvenience and we didn't know that we wouldn't see anything until we got to the top.Written December 29, 2024

Not enough room for People walking and Motorized ride animals. Also, people need to stop thinking their pets can go Anywhere they want. A Cat will not help with Therapy. That needs to end. I Would go again and will recommend to anyone.Written December 28, 2024

Spring break 2024 we were part of the earthquake that happened on 4/5/2024! The waterpark was amazing. I felt like the water could’ve been a little more heated the indoor burger restaurant restaurant near the bar area inside the waterpark was too expensive for overcooked burgers and undercooked fries. The prices were ridiculous. Dressing rooms Were overly crowded that needs to change. It was a lot going on the workers didn’t really explain things to us. They just pointed us in different directions. Everything is overpriced inside

My sons and I who are 13 and 16 really enjoyed the water park. However, at $99 per ticket, with no season pass available like you can get at Six Flags and so many other amusement parks, you had better be really rich to spend the day here. I also got them kind of flash passes that are supposed to get them in faster at $50 a pass and it did nothing to get them in the rides sooner, absolutely nothing! So right there I could’ve saved $100 and I could’ve used some of that to pay for the outrageously expensive food and drinks. Everything is so expensive and they have these cabanas that looks so lovely and they are $300 a piece a day to rent! So honestly I spent $400 just on the admission tickets to the water park for me and my two children, and I must’ve spent $200 buying everyone lunch and food and drinks. It was like buying food in the airport it was that expensive. They do not provide you towels. There are not enough seats for everyone to sit. When you take a shower you cannot take your bathing suit off. So for six to $700 for six or seven hours of water park, I could have flown to California to Disney and stayed over in a hotel.

Hello Amymom1,
Thank you for visiting DreamWorks Water Park and for sharing your feedback with us!
Although our attractions are on the pricier side, we offer more as a whole than our other competitors do. DreamWorks Water Park is priced the way it is compared to its competitors because of its proximity to the city, and the fact that it is all indoors -- so guests are able to visit any day, rain or shine! American Dream is not just DreamWorks, we also have our Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park (which is also indoors), Blacklight Mini Golf, Angry Birds Mini Golf, Tilt Museum, Mirror Maze and the Rink.
To avoid paying the peak price per person, we recommend visiting on a non-peak day (Monday - Thursday). We are sorry to hear that the water park dining options did not meet your expectations while you were here
We sincerely apologize that we were unable to provide you with an exceptional experience, but we hope to have you back in the future for a better visit.

Paltry food options inside water park
No adult beverages, inadequate size and temperature for “hot tubs” Ridiculous wait for flume ride and kids slides. Exorbitant cabana prices. Walk from parking is excessive. Mainly just a huge wave pool. There’s better water parks. For the same rate you can do overnight elsewhere and get two full days of activity.

I am very disappointed in my experience at dream works waterpark. I decided to celebrate my daughters 3rd birthday there on May 11th, I spent $2,538.56 for 12 tickets and the skybox suite which holds 16 people, then I spent another $250 on burger shack and they would even give me utensils. There were no utensils in our bag so I went to the food area to ask for some and the manager Joanna refused to give me utensils. She insisted that she personally packed and delivered the food to my skybox suite and gave us utensils and that was not the case. She was not even the person who delivered the food to my suite, I explained to her that the person who delivered to me was wearing a light blue shirt while Joanna was wearing a black shirt, which means she was mistaken me for another party. Joanna then told me if I had any issue to take that up with guest services. Why would I go to guest services for utensils to eat with? I gave up after that and we ate with our hands, such an embarrassment.
Another issue was that the wrists bands they gave us wouldn’t work. They gave us 3 different sets of wristbands to get in our suite and none of them worked. Therefore I had to stay in the suite instead of enjoying the waterpark with my baby girl for her birthday. They said they would send someone to stay in the area to let us back in the suit but that young man was only there for a short time and was too busy talking to his colleagues while we stood waiting for assistance. So much time was wasted with me going back and for to check in about the wrist bands and waiting for assistance that I spent the majority of my time in the suite just waiting for a resolution.
The concierge took an hour to respond to my txt message when I needed assistance so that was unhelpful as well. Also the VIP hot tub was not in use during our stay which was another disappointment.
The water park itself is great and the children really enjoyed themselves, but it was frustrating, disappointing, and an embarrassment to me after spending all that money and receiving such poor service. I feel like this was a waste of my money, I did not enjoy my time there. Next time I will go to the new waterpark in Atlantic City where I could hopefully receive better service and will definitely spend less money.

When we first arrived most rides were not running. The water wasn’t turned on. The few that were open weren’t staffed appropriately. The lifeguards are hardly paying attention. Very understaffed. The worker for the tube rides were letting kids keep tubes and continue to go on the ride while others waited 20 minutes from a tub to go ride. He had no clue. They had one worker to manage three slides, lines took way longer than they should. Dont purchase fast pass either as the workers don’t even pay attention. Very pricey for not much experience when half the rides are closed or don’t operate until halfway through the day. The mats and tubs were so far from the actual slides itself.. they should put pictures of the slides in the stairwells so you know which is which. Very confusing by the names. Most workers didn’t know what was going on either..

What equals greed and bad management? Dreamworks waterpark!!!! They had a special event before the regular opening-it seems something happened in the water so half the park had to be closed. But instead of limiting the guest, they reduced the price to park more people into a tiny area. I spent 1 hour in line just to get my refund. I was told to call the American Dream number if I didn't want to wait in line, but you could only leave a message-no one to answer. I am so I happy I wasted my one family day where I don't have to work.

My wife and I took our toddler here for his birthday. We got there at 4PM and had to leave an hour later. Once 5PM hit, it felt like they turned off the heat inside to try and kick people out before closing at 7PM. Our son started shivering of how cold it got within minutes. Other than that issue they just let anybody in there with parents or no parents. There were a group of about 10 or more teenagers in the lazy river holding hands going around. We were holding our toddler and when they came behind us they started yelling push push so they can push us out of the way resulting in almost drowning our son. That's unacceptable and the park shouldn't let a bunch of kids in without their parents or somebody who can put them in their place. Coming back to heating point. It's very unfortunate and very disappointing for them to do that for a way to get people out. But it is what it is and that was my first and last time there.

American Dream DreamWorks Indoor Park was too expensive. The admission is over priced ($69 online) ($79 in person) & locker rental was high ($20). It’s cost as much as going to Six Flag or Dorney Park yet these parks has much more attractions than Dream Works Indoor Park. I won’t go back for at least a year. The beach is a better investment of time and funds

Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback! DreamWorks Water Park is the largest indoor water park in North America! With everything that the park has to offer, including our huge wave pool, and over 20 different rides and attractions, most of our guests spend their entire day enjoying the park! We are disappointed that you didn't feel that this was worth the value of the ticket. We do offer different types of passes, including the Season Splash Pass and the Dream Pass that offer greater value for those who wish to visit multiple times during the season or visit both our Nickelodeon Universe and DreamWorks Water Park. Please visit our website for more details.
The beach is definitely a great option, but DreamWorks Water Park is open year round, and is always a balmy 81 degrees! So, when you are no longer able to go to the beach this winter, we hope that you don't wait a year to come back and visit us again! We will be waiting!
Looking forward to dreaming with you again soon!
Sincerely,
Brian

Worst experience ever. I understand it’s weekend, but still the experience could’ve been more pleasant.
It took us about 50 minutes to get inside. There were absolutely no places not only to sit, but to stand either. I got turbo passes for my kids, but it was useless - so many people were there and so many turbo passes they sold.
On top of it they closed one of the jacuzzis ( there are 2). And the longest slide was broken: my kids were online for 40 mins ( with turbo passes), and then they told them to wait half an hour more cause of the issue.
Terrible.. Make the prices higher and sell less tickets, this is very disrespectful and thoughtless.

What a place. Soooo big. Our family had a great time. The park was surprisingly uncrowded on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We rented a cabana. It was nice to have our own space to get away. Even though not very busy, it was still good to have the turbo pass because waterpark lines are very slow. Provided the opportunity to go on slides multiple times without waiting. The main changing rooms are a confusing maze. But, there is plenty of space for everyone and they are exceptionally clean. Only complaint is with the food offerings. I expect it to be expensive (the whole place is), but the quality was horrible. It is like they didn't even try to make a decent personal pizza for $14. Pre-made wrap sandwich was disappointing. Wish they would have had more options than the one food booth and would spend as much effort on food quality as they do everything else.

What are the admission options for chaperones? Why should someone who will not participate in the activities pay full fare when just there to help look after kids that take a break.
Written October 18, 2022
I believe it's still full price. I completely agree with you on that. There should be a separate price for someone just going to keep an eye on there kids. It's out of control. If you do go prepare for long wait times to get in. Took us an hour just to get to the locker room and one slide was a 2 hour wait and this was on a Tuesday .
