Excellent experience! I liked Greg's Polish food tour so much that I came back for his Italian food tour. And this one certainly did not disappoint! Greg offered delicious food, of course -- who doesn't love a meatball? He also shared some really interesting facts about the neighborhood's past and present... I was amazed at what he knew! As with the other tour, I felt like I was walking around the Village with a good friend. I came for the food, but I was captivated by Greg's entertaining and warm personality. He offers fun, food, and great stories! Don't miss out!

What a fantastic tour! There is nothing I like better than a pierogi in my paws, but what I really enjoyed was learning all about the neighborhood and Polish culture! Greg is not only an expert tour guide, but he is really entertaining. Of Polish descent himself, he offers unique and interesting insights --- and delicious treats! In addition, Greg took the time to get to know our group and focused on our special areas of interest. He made us feel like welcome guests in his home city instead of tourists. Mamma Mia! If you are looking for a local guide, Greg is the best. This was one spicy meat-a-ball of a tour. My wife and I have come down with a serious case of the yum-yums after eating all the fresh mozzarella and prosciutto.

This was a tasty and informative tour. Greg focused on generational family owned businesses that offered excellent morsels at each stop.

On my actual Birthday while in New York I booked this food tour. I really enjoyed taking the train in from Times Square to get to Greenwich Village. Our tour guide Greg was the best I could wish for and family has a lot of history in the community which he shared during our walk. A few fun facts learned along our route his grandmother being born and raised in the neighborhood, we actually saw her old home and we took an inside tour of one of the most beautiful churches his family has belong to for over a hundred years 😊. Every food stop was delicious he was very family with the owners and staff. I won’t tell everything we sampled so others can be surprised. One of the best highlights is our group surprising me with a birthday song and treat as I was walking back to the table. Of course they made me I was so touched ❤️ P.S. New York pizza does taste good! 😊 and I’m from Chicago home of the best pizza ever!

Greg is great. He has vast knowledge of the area, and has generations of family that grew up there. The food was also great. It was a hot day, but Greg always managed to find us shade and as much water as we needed. I went with my daughter and we both think it's a "must do" for tourists AND locals alike!

Greg gave us an insider tour of Greenwich Village with some tasty Italy tidbits. His personal knowledge really brought life to the area; he comes from several generations of locals so he had stories of what life was like in the past. He is also very thoughtful—spent extra time helping us get reduced rate tickets for the subway. A great tour that made NYC come alive.

An incredibly interesting and enjoyable walking tour! Greg guided us to some captivating spots and shared fascinating anecdotes about music history. I especially loved the stories about artists from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. He took my girlfriend and me around Greenwich Village for about 2.5 hours, introducing us to fantastic restaurants and coffee shops along the way. Very tasty italian pastries, iconic NYC pizza, out of this world Cortado coffee! I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because his devices (tablet, phone, bluetooth speaker) could have been better organized, making it easier for him to access the music and pictures he wanted to show us. He also gave us great tips regarding the city in general. E.g. regarding transportation, what music clubs or pubs to visit.

Meg and I enjoyed every minute with Greg. Greg knows everybody along the walk, and he brings you along like an old friend. It was a fun way to experience NYC!

Each semester I arrange for some of my university students to attend an educational tour of the West Village with Greg Walks NYC. Mr. Marro does a tremendous job of taking social issues and making them come alive. This spring, he once again guided students from the site of the Stonewall Riots to the former location of Café Society, an integrated nightclub where Billie Holliday first performed "Strange Fruit, to the Triangle Shirt Factory memorial and many other important historical stops in between. With his talent for storytelling and vast information about and familiarity with the area, Greg dazzled the students. They really did not want the night to end. I offer his tour my highest praise and recommendation. It's an educational opportunity that changes lives. I know because I've seen it happen with my students.

He provided great stories along the way and was well known in the area, so many people said Hi to Greg. The food samples were awesome and plentiful and diverse, with sweets and sandwiches and cheeses. I would highly recommend any tour with Greg, he is a great ambassador for the area.
