    Big disappointment
Worst part of our holiday. We booked 2pm time slot to go to Liberty and Ellis Island. Absolute nightmare. We entered the security check at 1.30pm everyone was left waiting in the security hall like cattle, for around 30 minutes, bare in mind this place is a marquee thing and very bad aircon. After queuing for 30 mins we thought great go out and get on a ferry over to Liberty Island. Had to wait over an hour in the queue by the time a ferry comes unloads and they refills think we only got onto the 3rd ferry after we got through security. Ferry then got wedged with people. Quite nerve wrecking, felt there was too many loaded onto the ferry and at times the boat would tilt to one side as alot of passengers would go to one side to get pictures. Views of manhattan and Brooklyn were nice. We landed on the island and just thought OH No! . The queues to get back on the ferry were literally wrapped around the island. We walked around the island literally walking passed people queuing for the ferry. We got a drink as we needed it from the heat that day. Sat down for a few minutes then had to join the queue to go back to New York no way we were getting off at Ellis Island, which was really disappointing. I would have loved to have a wander around there, but the queue for the ferry on Ellis Island were terrible too. I honestly felt like it was a reenactment of people coming to America all those years ago queuing to be processed at immigration. By the time we got back to New York it was almost 6pm so definitely not a quick trip. I think it is the only boat that can stop at the islands too which is very disappointing and should be let open up to other operators as it would limit the amount of tourists trying to get on the one boat. Or maybe go out to New Jersey and get the ferry from Liberty park as the queues for the New Jersey ferry were not too bad but if staying im New York it is the problem of getting to New Jersey. Overall would not recommend thing tour. If it is just the statue you want to see go on another boat trip with another tour operator.

Be aware! Not a quick tour!
We were led to believe by ticket seller it would be a quick loading onto a bus to take us to the ferry. Paid $140 for 3 people. Stood in broiling sun for over an hr then again another 45 minutes in the sun at the ferry dock. All total this took our whole afternoon and make keep us from using the rest of our Hop on Hop off bus ticket we paid big $$ for!

    Got overcharged
Paid for a 90 minute Cruise and was 60 min. No outside seating. How do you look at skyscrapers indoors thru a window.

Great views and a taste of the quintessential American experience
Every family member or friend insisted we had to do the ferry trip to the Statue of Liberty and then to Ellis Island (my nephew highly recommended the Museum of Immigration). First morning in NY, first time on the Subway. This was easy, get on at Broadway, get off when it finally stopped. Then we started to encounter the great New York lack of signage. Eventually locating the blue umbrella that signified where the ferry queue started, we duly produced our pre-booked timed entrance tickets only to learn that timed ticketing did not preclude enormously long waiting times. Full airport security of course is what delays it, and as Brits who experienced terrorist threats on our mainland long before the US had to, fully understand the reasons and necessity. But boy, was it slow, and thorough (had to take off my cardigan!) Eventually we got under way and enjoyed the great views from the boat. Liberty Island was a joy, and we circled the statue enjoying the information boards (which we later learned were a rarity!) We didn't go into the (included) museum but patronised the rather nice cafe and excellent gift shop (good value, wide variety). A further long queue to board the Ellis Island ferry and then we spent a long time in the excellent Ellis Island Immigration History Centre. This was one of the best presented and best labelled museums we visited, and it certainly helped to understand the formation of the modern United States. There was another lengthy wait to board the ferry back to Battery Park, but it was excellent value at only $18 pre-booked for oldies. It all took considerably longer than we'd anticipated, but I would still rate it a don't miss/must see.

    1 hour of power
This was a terrific little cruise on a boat. Perfect for seeing the Statute of Liberty and the NYC skyline. I went in November and it gets dark at 5pm. I booked the 4:30pm slot and found this perfect as the sun was setting and I could take some fantastic photos with a beautiful backdrop. Worth the price.

    Waste of Money
This experience was laughable only because we didn't pay for it. We were treated by our friends and I feel sorry they wasted their money. Rude crew members, awful music played loudly, tacky decor everywhere. And guess what, considering this is a sightseeing tour, how about cleaning the boat windows so we can see the sights?!!

    Hell cruise !! Terrible trip!
We are On the way to the Statue of Liberty by boat with this company and without understanding why, shortly after departure, the boat deviates from its trajectory to head full force against a quay. we are thrown to the ground. there are people who get hurt. A member of the crew nearly fell overboard while trying to anchor. the crew handled the situation very badly. we never found out what happened and we were rushed out with the police. Don’t buy your trip with this company!! We don’t have any refound even though we only made one stop and never see the liberty statue, in addition to having lived through a very traumatic experience.
