    Highly educational
Looked for a show with some friends and this sounded entertaining. You learn about alcohol and get drinks in the process? Sign us up! We walked in to a high top table with small seating area with a bar as the stage and popcorn at our table. The actors were excellent and we learned a lot. You're served various cocktails that follow the story and they were good and pretty strong. It was quite the history lesson if you want to learn about how alcohol has evolved over the years.

    The Imbible
If you've been to Drunk Shakespeare and enjoyed it, you probably will not like this show. It was painful to sit and witness this lack of everything. Talent, humor etc. We left at intermission. Only because we were right in the front and didn't want to disrupt the room just in case someone was enjoying it. 15 min. some folks that were sitting near the "door" (it's just a curtain that they close off the lobby) left. We wanted so badly to leave with those folks! The greatest loss is not the wasted money, it's the loss brain cells and our time. Drunk Shakespeare is wonderful and we will be going to see it again on our next trip.

    Really, really bad...
I have never once left a review before but after seeing "A Spirited History of Drinking" I feel the need to give it an honest in hopes that people save their time and money and do not see it...the content was incredibly dry, the drinks were watered down, and the audience gave no more than a few half-hearted pity laughs as most all I saw counted down the minutes until the end of the show. Not only was the content brutally boring, but the sound in the bar - despite being no larger than a small room - was imperceptible, especially when the narrator was going on his monologue. Please please: either change the content of this play to make it actually entertaining or discontinue it. Sounded great at first but was incredibly let down. Save your time and money.

Amazing time learning about the history of drink with a drink in hand
Anybody in New York and want a cheeky way to get pissed while learning about why we get so rat-arsed should definitely check this out.

Love the way the performers interacted with one another. They lifted my spirits up in more ways than one . The intimacy of the stage made you fill that you were one of the performers. Great job!

    Christmas Carols Cocktails
We got there a little early and so were first in line. We took seats in the front row then were approached by one of the actors and were offered seats on the stage. We took seats at the bar and so had even more drinks. When the play started we realized we were part of the play. At one point my wife was given the role of assisting in the preparation of drinks. Later I was put in charge of a row for the song contest which we won. It was our broadway debut!! The whole thing was a lot of fun and we had a great time.

    What a fabulous experience!
We attended The Imbible and LOVED every second of it. The performers were excellent and so funny and the drinks were FABULOUS. I enjoyed it so much I brought other people back a few weeks later. I can't wait to go back to see their specialty shows. Go! I promise you won't regret it.

The Imbibe: A Spirited History of Drinking
We LOVED these shows- in fact we loved the Spirited History of Drinking so much that we extended our holiday trip to NYC a day to include the Christmas Cocktails show. The humor was so clever and the opportunity to interact with the cast, the singing and of course the cocktails really elevated seasonal celebration!!

History of Drinking is historically funny!
My friend and I attended the show and it was so much more than I thought it would be. A mix of history lecture, Broadway musical, and fun quiz questions for the audience. It made me happy on all my nerd levels. :-)~

Fun event for friends or couples
I've went to The Imbible: A Spirited History of Drinking with a friend a while back and laughed so hard. The drinks were amazing and the actors were funny and dynamic. I loved it so much I have since gone to Rum and Pirates and their holiday show. Imbible is fun and worth every penny.

    Entertaining and educational experience
I attended the show with a friend not really knowing what to expect. It was a small space, but the close quarters resulted in a more personal experience, where it seemed like each cast member interacted with each one of us at points throughout the performance. I knew some of what was talked about during the show, but the history provided was thorough and I definitely learned a ton by the end of the night (and laughed a lot). Highly recommend!

When I saw The Imbible Shows I knew my friends and I had to see at least 1. Wound up seeing Rum and Pirates and Day Drinking. They were so much fun and loaded with history. I recommend any of the show's.

Rum and pirates hit close to home, we love both! The drinks are good, the history is accurate, and you come away having learned many new things! All of the plays are intimate, no more than 40 people, and you get a good chance to know actors. Since this was a limited run show, it was not as polished as the other two shows but, the fact this earned a 4 should tell you how good they all are!

Great show and great cast. Really tied together the history of pirates and how rum was originally created.

Having attended two previous Imbibles, we thought more of the same...NOT! This small theater performance was interactive with the audience and so much fun. All the performers act their hearts out to make this play a raving success!
Thank you...
