About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 383valerieh0 contributionsEverything you need to know about the HighlineOur guide, Debbie, was extremely personable and knowledgeable. She was also funny and loved sharing some of the crazy history of NYC as well as the Highline. We also went into the Chelsea Market and onto Little Island. There is so much history attached to the Highline. It's way more than just an innovative repurposing of an old rail system.Written June 19, 2024
- Charlotte J0 contributionsTwo very informative private toursWe did two private tours. One of the financial district, including Staten Island Ferry for views and information about the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, and an abridged version of Harlem. The guides for both tours were very enthusiastic and informative. I would highly recommend YES tours NYC for anything NYWritten June 5, 2024
- Lorne B0 contributionsThe way to see NYCThis was a really incredible way to see New York, plus there were no cars. It was very special to see New York this way. We also ran into some celebrities on the walk. The ground were immaculately kept and there was lots of greenery and plants all around with explanations and descriptions.Written June 27, 2023

- 290georgiah0 contributions9/11 ground zero tourThis tour was an amazing experience, I couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide, he was full of passion about this devastating event. Our tour consisted of first visiting the chapel which survived the entirety of the attack that took place on September 11th, 2001, the tour was extremely emotional and a lot of people found it hard to comprehend what happened that day. Thankyou Robert for the amazing experience and opening our eyes to the devastation that took place that dayWritten January 11, 2020
- StaceyTewl0 contributionsYEStoursNYCWe went on a 9/11 walking tour with Rob, it was brilliant, so full of information about that tragic day! A great deal learnt! Thank you!Written January 11, 2020
- doctorfoxtrot0 contributionsHighlights of New York tourYES tours provided a detailed coverage of the main highlights in NYC. From Times Square , Statue of Liberty, 9/11 and Ground Zero Memorial . Pressed with time , we didn’t get to enter Empire State Building , Top of the Rock , and the One World Observatory . No big deal . It was my 3rd visit to the best city in the world , and I have already done those entrances. But the main highlight of the tour was our tour leader and guide , Robert Yonskie. Very eloquent and witty , highly knowledgeable of everything. From politics , entertainment, history , anything under the sun. Some of his talks are spiced with a bit of humour. Some with a tinge of seriousness. Nonetheless we were very much entertained. Hardly slept in our tour bus. Talented , he belts out some tunes for us. He even volunteered to take photos of several skyscrapers with us in the background. He did it lying down. That’s how good he was. Thanks Robert. We won’t forget you . Also would like to thank his partner Josh who took up the cudgels for him. Even on a half day tour of the High Line and the Brooklyn bridge , he was entertaining as well.Written November 30, 2019
- COLumanlan0 contributionsNew York CityRobert has been amazing! This is my first time in the US and I am very happy that NYC is the first state I visited. His passion and dedication to his work is simply amazing. He knows so much about his beloved state that you can’t help but fall in love with it as well. We would definitely book another tour with him.Written November 26, 2019
- ulapmd0 contributionsTour with Medical ProfessionalsI’ve been with many tours and tour guides but Robert is a standout! He breathes and lives New York. He is so passionate about the city and about what he does that he can get you to change your mind about leaving and literally stay in NY. He goes out of his way to make the tour very special and memorable. Add his very good singing and your tour will be more than spectacular. Even if you’ve been to New York, I highly recommend getting him in one of your trips and you will realize there is little you know about the city until you hear him speak. Kudos to Robert!Written November 26, 2019

Robert is unbelievably knowledgable and enthusiastic with EVERYTHING he does!
Going through NYC with him on one of his tours truly gives you a completely different perspective of the City.
We did: Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the private 9/11 tour, one word - WOW.
Infusing his own personal experiences, stories & knowledge within the tour truly makes it one of a kind and more importantly, world class.
Robert went to incredible lengths to make sure we were comfortable, hydrated and even went out of his way to take some amazing photos for us!
Would highly recommend Robert to anyone visiting NYC, whether its your first time or 10th time to New York

Three of us took this tour with Colin, a very entertaining and knowledgeable guide. We had as little or as much time as we wanted to also explore independently. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a good introduction to these iconic landmarks.

My wife and I along with our 17 year old did a combined tour of Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island and 9/11 with Robert Yonskie. The tours on their own were great but having Robert as a tour guide was a home run. His knowledge, friendliness and sense of humor made this day a truly memorable experience. The day was perfect. Highly recommend!!

Robert Yonskie is an extraordinary tour guide and worth every penny you will spend on one of his tours. As well as the advantage of being able to skip the lines throughout the process of visiting the Statue of Liberty, Robert was able to get pedestal access when it seemed none was available. He also knew the best places to stop to get the best views and photos throughout the morning. But the main thing that sets Robert apart is his personality. His background is in musical theatre and in secondary education and both aspects really shine through as he explains the places you are visiting and brings them to life. So often it is possible to walk around places without a guide and to miss half the significance- or to see groups looking bored to tears by dry guides. Robert tells stories, helps you to imagine the situations faced by those passing through Ellis Island and is full of facts and history about the Statue of Liberty. He gave us a truly memorable visit and I can highly recommend him.
