I have taken The Brooklyn Revolution! tour with Bruce Racond on 10/30/2021.
The route and the stops were well-planned and gave us beautiful views, architectural details, not to mention delicious hot chocolate, leading to multiple exciting moments of intellectual rediscovery around each corner of the usual we thought we knew. On the tour,Bruce brought to life such iconic places, like the Tweed Building, the Brooklyn Bridge and many more by immersing us in the historic events back then and lives of important public figures of the day.
I highly recommend Revolutionary Tours. You will see multiple new layers of history even in the places that you thought you knew.
Bruce’s enthusiasm and about history and New York City itself is contagious. His preparedness, depth of knowledge and attention to detail are rare and are rather impressive, just like the binder with documents, maps, charts and photos which he carries around to illustrate his talk (weighs at least 6 pounds:)),as well as the hand outs detailing the route and the highlights of the tour, not to mention a possible follow up email complementing something that had been discussed on the tour…He thinks of everything!
People skills paired with a passion of a historian and professional expertise are a winning combination! 5 out of 5!

I am pretty sure this is the best tour I have ever been on, and I take a lot of tours! I took Revolutionary Tours NYC’s Central Park tour and their Hamilton and Washington tour last time I was in NYC (and I loved both), so I was looking forward to completing the trifecta! Bruce brought knowledge, humor, intelligence, and energy to this excursion from lower Manhattan to Brooklyn Heights. He has a few wow! moments woven into his tour -great stories with colorful descriptions and suspense- and tons of historical and cultural facts sprinkled in between. His stop at the chocolate shop was perfectly timed (and delicious) and he supplied his guests with stunning views and connections to American history and popular culture that everyone could relate to. Highest recommendation!

This was another GREAT tour with Bruce. His tours have the perfect blend of facts, historical interpretation, and humor which make a walking tour outstanding. Most importantly, his enthusiasm for New York City comes through loud and clear.

Bruce did such an incredible job on this tour. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable about each area we explored, but his delivery of the history made very clear the passion he has for this city. It was wonderful to be able to hear all of the great stories and moments behind such an iconic place, and especially from someone who clearly cares so much about it. Such an awesome way to experience Brooklyn.

If you're considering taking a guided walking tour in NYC, definitely take any or all of Bruce's tours. You will not be disappointed!

When I took his Secret Places of Central Park tour, it was clear that he has a thorough knowledge of, and passion for the city's history. After that experience, I decided to take his Best of Brooklyn and Hamilton & Washington tours right away, and of course, I enjoyed them equally as well.

The Best of Brooklyn tour was so informative and interesting! Yes, anyone could walk across the Brooklyn Bridge and through DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights (I have many times!), but to have such a thorough guided tour brings more importance to landmarks you might otherwise miss, and makes the area much more intriguing!

Bruce is a talented storyteller who absolutely brings those historical figures that you've seen in paintings to life and gives a sense of animation to historical landmarks that would otherwise seem dormant. The pace of these tours is easy and he makes sure that members in the group are comfortable.

Time will fly by quickly as you take an engaging and entertaining trip into the past while on these tours. I highly recommend them all!

First timer to NY from Chicago and I wanted an in depth walking tour of at least one of the boroughs (I was only in NY for 4 days). This tour did not disappoint. Very interesting history of the Brooklyn Bridge and Brooklyn itself (who knew bridges could be so fascinating...LOL). Great pic opportunities during the tour. The 3 hours went by quickly and due to the group's small size, you could hear everything our guide, Bruce, was saying and encouraged questions. Bruce was knowledgeable, interesting and passionate about his native NY. When I come back to NYC, I will definitely take their Central Park tour.

I was in NYC a few weeks ago and took both the Best of Brooklyn and Secrets of Central Park tours (I also took the Washington/Hamilton downtown tour in 2019). All three tours are delightful, more than worth the money and time!! Each tour usually has about 10 attendees, which makes it easy to gather around Bruce and listen to the wealth of information he has interspersed through the walk. He is steeped in New York and American history as well as helpful local tourist tips. The walks are invigorating but not difficult, and each has a restroom break built in around halfway. Bruce enjoys answering questions and visiting with guests during the walk. If he creates more tours, I’ll take them!

Bruce is the owner of this tour. The three hour tour that my husband and I took with Bruce flew by. Bruce's knowledge of the Brooklyn Bridge and of Brooklyn was top notch. Bruce carries his own home made catalogue with fascinating pictures and historical information on the Brooklyn Bridge ( the Brooklyn Bridge could be it's own tour) and Brooklyn My husband and I were thrilled that we found this tour. We love history and enjoyed the educational knowledge that Bruce shared with us. He actually took us to some special places in Brooklyn as the tour was just the two of us, and we had time to see some extra exciting sights. I highly recommend this tour.

I had a brilliant afternoon with Bruce, learning all about Brooklyn and its fascinating history. Bruce is a wonderful guide - even though I was the only person on the tour that day, he still went ahead with the experience and took me on a trip across Brooklyn Bridge and through DUMBO to Brooklyn Heights, all the way explaining the historical and cultural significance of the area. I've come away with a greater appreciation for the borough, which I previously knew next to nothing about! As an added bonus, Bruce helped me back to the subway and directed me back to Midtown, and followed up with an email with links to things he'd referenced, like movies and documentaries. He is such an attentive guide and I fully recommend this experience!
