      Unique history experience
Bill was an excellent narrator and storyteller with a deep understanding of the subject matter. An enjoyable tour on the history of New York from the lens of the gilded age

Good tour, John’s a good guide
Ask for John, he was a great guide. He had a good style and had some of his own stories for context. He also used a low-tech ear piece system that quietly spoke into your ear. In the other group, the guide had to shout in some parts of the terminal.

      We had a great time
It was so interesting! I've lived in the NYC area my whole like but had never explored Grand Central this way. I learned so much. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, personable and funny. He had great "only in NY" stories to share as well. It was a fabulous way to spend a cold, snowy afternoon. We had a great time.

An eye opener about Penn Station and Moynihan Train Hall
Secrets of Penn Station & Moynihan Train Hall was riveting and captivating. Justin knows how to explain things and how to tell stories. He also has a knack for personally connecting with his tourists and learning their names.

A grand experience at Grand Central
We had a very interesting tour at Grand Central. It wasn't just the information that made it wonderful, but also our guide, Jonathan. He was attentive, and genuinely interested in every single person to have a great time. He was very knowledgeable and had a great energy when he was talking to us.

      Great tour, don't miss it
Don't miss this. Our tour guide was fantastic. Great sense of humor, great stories about Grand Central and NYC in general. Easy walking and would be good for people with mobility challenges (only 5 stair steps in total on our tour). Lots of great trivia about Grand Central Terminal, really fun.

An Essential Window into NYC History
I used to go to Grand Central every week for work and I knew almost none of the incredible history behind it until this tour! Jonathan was such a wonderfully engaging tour guide and storyteller in general. Can't recommend enough.

      History in Transit
History, context and the evolution of public transit while riding on the train and visiting stations and platforms. AJ was really great at leading us through decades of information. The whispers made it easy to hear even through the train noise. Be ready to walk and climb lots of stairs.

Loved the history and inside knowledge, especially the secret stairway!
Finally learned how the ceiling could be"backwards." Loved learning about all the clues to look for relating to the Commander and his "crest". Did not know about the whisper corner or the eagles before the tour. Jonathan was engaging and thoughtful. The time flew by.

Brilliant tour with Richard our guide today. He was kind and courteous and very knowledgeable. My husband is very much into trains and thought the tour was fantastic- as did our 17 year old daughter and I who aren’t quite such train fanatics! We learned a lot about the history of the train station, the role of Jackie Kennedy, secret spiral staircases, architecture, whispering walls and of course the tennis court! I was concerned that we wouldn’t be able to hear our guide given the background noise of a busy working station but Richard gave us little over ear headphones which were great. We’d thoroughly recommend this tour. Thank you Richard!

Jonathon was such a great tour guide. Enjoyed the tour much more than I thought I would. There was about 17 people on the tour and he somehow managed to remember everyone’s name so he made it feel like a really personal experience.

I scheduled 2 private tours for my husband and our 13 year old grandson, the Secrets of Grand Central Station and The Remnants of Penn Station at 2 separate times on one day, both with Justin. Justin suggested it might be more fun for our grandson if we combined the tours and rode the subway to include the secrets of the NY Subway, usually offered as a separate tour. The resulting tour was fabulous! Justin's sensitivity to what our grandson would enjoy most was spot on, and his visuals brought it all to life. My husband and I were thrilled with Justin's attention to detail, his personable manner and genuine knowledge of and enthusiasm for his subject matter. Our grandson, a real train enthusiast, hasn't stopped talking about it yet, and neither have we. Justin combines all the perfect traits of a guide, and anyone able to schedule a tour with him will have a most memorable experience. His give aways at the end of pictures of Penn station before and after, etc. will be lasting mementoes of our wonderful experience. Untapped tours is amazing with its unique offerings, excellent guides and ease of scheduling.

Loved this tour! John DeSanto was a great guide - informative, attentive, knowledgeable, personable, well-prepared, and funny. He shared interesting facts and points of interest within the terminal and outside. We didn't miss a word as he provided whisper listening devices. There are places in the building that you will want to go back and visit after the tour ends! Thanks, John.

Interesting in many ways - learned about Grand Central's history, it's quirks, the building itself and of course, its secrets. Richard, our guide, knew his facts and shared them with passion and humor. We were a group ranging in age from 22 to 63, and we all thought it was super. Some of us loved the history, others how it was saved from demolition in the 60's, others the architectural features. Highly recommend.

Jeremy gave a fabulous tour. There were 11 people in our group. He gave a quick paced and very comprehensive tour. He spoke clearly, and had added additional photos for the group to see. He provided fascinating historical anecdotes and the tour was appealing to a wide range of age groups. I highly recommend this tour!
