It was awesome to learn so much about the neighborhoods and to spend time with Dom, who seems to know every little detail and everybody in the neighborhood! We are from Brooklyn originally, but there's always more to see and learn, and this tour was a good example of that. Two highlights were our visits to two artists' studios. Both artists welcomed us warmly and invited us to return. Highly recommend Dom and this tour!Written May 25, 2019

We explored the history and current events of Brooklyn's DUMBO and Dom was a great tour guide, very personable and knowledgeable. Highly recommend if you are interested in learning about the city as a local or visitor alike. We visited several businesses (e.g. Saori - Japanese Weaving and CAM's art studio) and Dom has many acquaintances in the area, with free chocolate and ice cream sampling. While visitations depend on who is available, I though the tour was great value and enjoyable!

Dom was a great guide infused with enthusiam, which really helped us to enjoy the tour even more so. The stops included on the tour were very interesting and unique, and we had a wonderful time meeting the local artisans and getting to know the local business community. Dom even arranged a last minute addition where we met a local mural artist whose brilliant works were displayed all over DUMBO and elsewhere. This is a tour that is unlike your usual walking tour, and we went away feeling that we really got to see a slice of Brooklyn. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants something different and an amazing guide to show you Brooklyn.

If there’s a way to see the artsy side of Brooklyn, it’s to take a walking tour with our guide Dom. He walked us through the Dumbo area, acquainting us with artisans, painters, weavers, who we would never have interacted with , up close and personal, otherwise; learning about their craft. Dom gave us an informative lowdown on the industrial past of Brooklyn and took us to the points that offered the most beautiful sightings of the Brooklyn bridge and the NYC skyline. Cherry on the cake we’re the creamy icecream and warm chocolate drink, on the house:)

Dom is a great storyteller. His passion for Brooklyn is contagious. He has lots of connections with local artists and artisans, which makes this trip very special. Moreover he added many personal touches and several little surprises on the way. He has extensive knowledge of the industrial past of Brooklyn, and makes great connections with visual clues in the landscape. The tour was attended by worldwide visitors, and also by locals who wanted to learn more about the place, and they did. I had a fantastic time.

We loved our Made in Brooklyn Tour! As locals, it was great getting to dive deeper into the history of our own neighborhood. My parents and I shared a wonderful afternoon with Dom learning about the wide variety of items made in Brooklyn, some dating back to the 19th Century and one shop which opened only 2 days ago! His passion really shines and it was a real treat to meet the artisans and even have some hands-on experience. We will be back the area later this year and look forward to visiting another area of Brooklyn with Dom. Highly recommend!

This is our 4th tour with Dom the owner and guide of Made in Brooklyn Tours, and it was like meeting up with an old friend again, a friend who knows the Brooklyn neighborhoods inside and out. For this one, we went on the Industry City tour and visited four very different businesses and got a great taste, both literally and figuratively, of the history and diversity of activity in the area. They included a chocolate company, whiskey maker, stained glass restorer and soap maker. What most impresses us about these tours is the deep pride and love that Dom has for Brooklyn and for those who are being creative, working hard and sacrificing to succeed in making it there. Always highly recommended!

Dom was wonderful!! It was such a personal, well thought out tour. We not only saw many great places, but Dom introduced us to many artist and business owners in the community. Highly recommended this tour for anyone! Price is a steal for the service he provides. :)

Dom curated a perfect walking tour of Red Hook for a private corporate event. We were 7 people and the tour was well planned start to finish. We stopped at some local businesses, and Dom is a wealth of knowledge of all things Brooklyn - there wasn't a question he couldn't answer including "Who is the park named after and why?". Our group was particularly interested in housing and real-estate history (we told him in advance) and he made sure to incorporate this theme into the tour as well. Highly recommend you take a walking tour with Dom - it seems like he can curate something special for any Brooklyn neighborhood!

Our tour guide, Dom, was friendly and welcoming right from the start. His love of Brooklyn based on his personal experiences was evident. We enjoyed the hands-on experience weaving and the take-away that came with it. I would highly recommend this tour to both visitors and native New Yorkers!
