This guided bus tour runs nightly in December from 7pm, except on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve. The over-the-top Christmas Lights in Dyker Heights were made famous in the PBS documentary "Dyker Lights" and featured on TLC's "Crazy Christmas Lights.”
Receive a delicious candy cane as you settle inside your tour bus. Then, set off to see the holiday lights from on board and off as you head for Brooklyn’s Dyker Lights neighborhood.
Check out Lucy Spata’s house—the house that kick-started the “Dyker Lights” tradition in the 1980s—and pass the Polizzotto house, home to the largest Santa in the area, at 15 feet (4.5 meters) tall.
Experience the incredible lights synchronized to music at Robert DeLauro’s house, admire the “Christmas-meets- Las-Vegas” illuminations at Sam the Greek’s house, and pass the house that served as the Commissioner’s home in the hit CBS TV series “Blue Bloods.” The tour also takes you to areas missed by other excursions, such as Bay Ridge and Bensonhurst.
During the tour, soak up the true Brooklyn Christmas spirit courtesy of your guide who will have grown up in the borough and knows the homeowners personally. Enjoy the nostalgic Christmas music played on board as you explore and view a video montage of vintage TV Christmas specials and variety shows featuring stars such as Andy Williams, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Sonny and Cher, and many more.
Your tour concludes back at the original starting point.
