Great view and very nice boat!
The boat trip is very pleasant with full surround glass windows for easy viewing of the skyline. It also was able to get very close to The Statue of Liberty for great photos.

A Perfect Birthday on the East River
I took my two sons, their partners and my grandson on the Abandoned Islands of East River tour with Classic Harbor. Our guide was Gabriel Willow, who I met before on a bird walk in Central Park. The boat was lovely, the tour so interesting— my favorites were the “murder of crows” that lifted into the sky as a reaction to the bald eagle. We saw blue herons, egrets, and black crowned night herons. Gabriel’s vast knowledge of the history and wildlife entertained us as we cruised by these islands about which I previously knew nothing! What a treat!

Much better than a motorboat sightseeing cruise.
Fabulous way to see the NYC skyline as the sun set and the lights came on. Added to that we had a lengthy sailing experience - often sail boats don't get enough wind to make it a true sailing experience.

      Relaxing summer afternoon
A lovely, relaxing way to spend a couple hours on a summer afternoon. Sail was smooth, crew was great (Diana, Yuri, and Collin)--they had entertaining (if not always wholly true) answers about the waterfront. Would definitely sail with them again.

A great way to see the Statue of Liberty!
Last time we were in NYC we did a skyline boat tour with 500 people and it was packed. I was so excited to find this tour company for this trip! It was a night and day difference for the experience. We arrived at the pier early. We didn't realize that they do not do any early boarding and have everyone board 5 minutes before it sails. We purchased our tickets online directly with Classic Harbor Line. They hand out tickets at the time of boarding and seats are already predetermined and well marked. Our boat had a plastic partition on our table separating us from another party. We spent all of our time outside, so seating didn't really matter to us. You get a complimentary beer, wine, sparkling wine or rose. They use glass glasses, which surprised me. They did have one break. The boat itself is very nice and so nice to not be crowded. We had a great view of the skyline and of the Statue of Liberty! We had plenty of time to get pictures of the Statue of Liberty. I highly recommend this tour company. I hope to join them for their 4th of July tour some day!

Great sailing cruise of the bay and the statue of liberty!
Our trip was so fun - we had great wind for sailing. The team was incredible! They took care of us, sailed, were bartenders, photographers, historians, etc. Go if you want a relaxed, friendly, sail to see the "green lady". Enjoyed!

      Best boat trip in NYC
My daughter and I visited NYC for a quick 3 day trip and were so happy we made this boat trip part of it. Booking was quick and easy on trip advisor. We managed to book same day of the trip and easily found the pier. The boat was beautiful and so spacious. We enjoyed sitting outside and taking in the stunning views and commentary. The length of the trip was perfect and we wouldn’t hesitate to book another trip with this company.

      Totally worth it!
We had a great time! The crew was super friendly. We enjoyed the sunset. It's a nice way to explorer NY from a different side. You get one drink for free, the price for others drinks are very reasonable for NY. Please book a sunset trip with them, you will definitely not regret it! 🧡

      Great time
I was very surprised with the smaller number of people, personal service, and assigned tables we had - as well as the chance to go outside and see all the views. There was plenty of space for everyone on board and I never felt crowded. My only regret is that I didn’t book a longer boat ride!

What a nice relaxing trip on the River
After you check in on the boardwalk there is a shaded area to wait with the other guests after they assign you a table number. Impeccable service. Chill vibe and music. Cheese board was delicious (wish I would've taken photos) and so were the cocktails. It was a gorgeous day out on the River and the Schooner moves at such a leisurely pace that you can take photos constantly. The air-conditioning was very much appreciated as it was a hot muggy day but beautiful breeze out on the water and the Captain did have a steady bit of dialogue as we passed by landmarks but honestly I was just chill with the music and the sites... the water wasn't very choppy so it was a nice boat ride. We parked on the Pier... and YES it was quite pricey $60.00 for the Mini-Van (oversized vehicle price) but we didn't want to walk far in the heat with the kids. I highly recommend this tour it wasn't congested on the boat and the service was friendly and accommodating. If I am back in NYC with others that wish a tour and easiest way to see Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge and One World Trade Center by the water I'm telling you this the one to select. Respectfully Reviewed.

This was a fantastic tour of Manhattan and surrounding boroughs. The boat had huge windows on both sides so you could see the buildings on both shores, and you could also go outside to take better photos. Our guide was terrific and discussed various buildings as well as changes and improvements being made. It was worth the cost to have a 2-3/4 hour tour of NYC that you couldn't cover on foot, and on a warm boat.

This was a great way to learn about NYC and it’s architecture and history. The boat was perfect, if you wanted to sit inside, that was nice, but we decided to sit outside on the bow to get a better view of the sights while still hearing our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to, when we could. The boat made it a nice size crowd, we circled all of Manhattan and learned so much. I would highly recommend this tour, except, you have to be aware of a couple of things. Things I hope they can fix:
    1) sound system, our tour guide is very interesting, however, it is very difficult to hear him as we sat at the back of the boat and there wasn’t a speaker there. It was easier to hear outside, but it was very windy, so that was difficult to. I would recommend you allow people to Bluetooth into his system and listen on their own AirPods or similar listening devices.
    2) we stood at the bow of the boat, the flagpole is not secured at the bottom and cause constant clanging through the boat cruise. Very disruptive, annoying and loud, it detracted from the experience. Please tie it down so that you can stop the added noise.
Again, highly recommended and hopefully these changes can be incorporated so make the cruise even more memorable
I give it 4 stars, it would have been 5 if those things can be addressed for future cruises. Thanks, Tom

It may have been a somewhat gray day but our Classic Harbor Line Architectural Tour was a bright spot as the day brightened up. What a thoroughly enjoyable and enlightening way to spend the day while seeing the city from a new vantage point on the water. Having lived a lifetime in the metropolitan area like myself or being a NYC tourist this experience would be equally enjoyed. The Manhattan yacht is a beautiful, comfortable, well maintained vessel expertly Captained as we we were well attended by the mates. The guide from the American Institute of Architects was well informed as he readily pointed out landmarks sharing their history, use, design and his insights. He was available to answer questions. We enjoyed our sparkling NYS wine and a cheese board as we navigated from Chelsea Piers around the entire of Manhattan on the Hudson River and East River. Don't miss this unique opportunity. Happy sailing.

I wanted to book 1 adult and 1 student ticket. But their website only allows 2 students (or more) or 2 adults (or more). So I called to book, but no one answered the phone.

Since it was the day of the tour and we had to walk 30 minutes to get there, I didn’t want to walk all that way only to find out they were sold out. So I did the ethical thing and booked 2 adults. When I told the woman at their booth on Pier 62, she refused to credit me back the $36 difference, telling me there are no refunds and that I should’ve called. I piped in that I DID try to call but no one answered. She went back to the party line about no refunds. Ridiculous and shady.

My advice to anyone with teens or other students: book all members of your party under the student rate and then have them adjust anything when you arrive.

The tour was mostly good, but it’s not worth $112 before tax. They have 3 people there to serve drinks and food (you get one free drink), and they still forgot to deliver my free drink. So you’re really paying for all the staff (1 captain, 4 crew, and 1 tour guide).

Hello Cara, Thank you for providing this feedback so that we can take steps to correct these issues. We apologize for the frustrations of the booking inconvenience you experienced and that your request for a refund was initially mishandled. Management has issued you a refund for the price difference as you had requested, and we are looking into improving our booking process to eliminate this hassle in the future. We hope to have another opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future, and we will do our best to translate your feedback into improvements. Warmly, Classic Harbor Line

This was an incredible way to see and learn about New York City. The boat was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. I liked that we were able to move around the boat during the tour. The tour guide was a trained architect who is a member of the local architect association. He was extremely knowledgeable about buildings, bridges, art, and New York history. The crew was friendly and professional. I am so happy that we took this tour, would do it again, and highly recommend for anyone - local or tourist- to have this experience and perspective of NYC!

This tour took us the entire way around Manhattan island (yes, it is an island and you find out how). The architect who took the tour was incredible. He spoke in detail to about 150 buildings and features visible from the boat WITHOUT NOTES. The tour was fascinating thanks to his expert knowledge and punchy delivery.

The service from Classic Cruises on board the Manhattan II was appropriate to the main event. They coped well with the organised large group who made up half the audience as well as the couples who made up the balance. We were able to go up onto the deck or stay at our designated tables as we wished.

Great boat, staff, food and wine! Very relaxing and fun 2hrs 45 min. Would have much preferred that the architect/narrator be inside the cabin with the guests to create a more interactive and engaging experience. Guests lost attention because could not see the narrator and often were not sure of what he was referring to because there were so many buildings! There was not much room on deck but that was where the best view was.

This was such a pleasant and educational tour! The architect who narrated the tour was a Manhattan native and told the stories of so many landmark buildings. The staff on the boat served good drinks and appetizers which were reasonably priced and in a way as to not distract from the talk. I loved the beautiful wood boat and we circled the island in about 2.5 hours. There is a lovely walkway along the shore so if you arrive early or stay after you can have a pleasant walk, snap pictures or grab a bite in one of the restaurants or coffee shops.

I didn’t really have any idea what to expect. I like architecture but our guide, Doug, brought it to a whole new level! He could tell us names of architects and the design group as well as historical significance of many of the buildings and what was happening at the time. His timing with trains passing over bridges as we passed under, was impressive too!
Captain Todd’s ability to navigate the wakes from other vessels made for a pleasurable water experience as well.

The tour offered a unique way to see the city and learn more about the design of some of its most iconic buildings. I’m not at all an architecture person but you can’t help to appreciate the uniqueness and beauty of the buildings. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared a great perspective.

I went with my late-teenage son and we both really enjoyed it. If you’re someone who likes more hands-on or typical tourist attraction type visits, this may not be for you, but we both appreciated the option to view it all “from a distance.” The tour is a bit long, but not much that can be done about that without changing the geography! And it offers an opportunity to see parts of the city one wouldn’t typically visit.

The boat was clean and spacious and it was nice to have the option to go above and below deck. Great choice overall!
