      Rude Tour Guide
The building is incredibly beautiful with so much history Sadly out tour guide was Rude to the younger kids in our group these boys where like 12 and 14 and the guide was just Rude and he talked way to fast! When my guest with hearing aids was having trouble understanding standing him He told her to turn up her hearing aid. Of all the tour guides I’ve had this guy was the worst.

Courteous, insightful, interesting - and unexpected - walking tour. Great!
Loved this. Our tour guide was on-time, courteous, well equipped (discrete but effective PA earphones and a binder of cool photos to supplement his narrative), and a well-informed but accessible and pleasant narrative style. Through his narrative, photos and tour photo spots he "peeled back the layers" of the architecture and history of Grand Central Station - often in unexpected ways. Very interesting! Bravo!

      Great Tour!
Wonderful tour of the more famous or infamous mansions on/near 5th Ave. Started at the Fricke and ended at the Cooper-Hewitt (Carnegie home). Guide was full of knowledge, funny and personable. Even had pics to help with the tour. Tour was a good pace and ended up being about 2 miles.

An interesting and fun heart of NYC experience
My husband , 25 year old daughter and I, who all have lots of New York experience, enjoyed the tour a lot. We learned many interesting things about this beautiful building and went to some nooks and crannies we didn't know about. Our guide Cullen was well informed, and had a friendly and pleasant style. I'd go on another tour with him.

Unique opportunity to learn about a lost New York City masterpiece!
This event was amazing! Justin has put so much work into perfecting this tour. In comparing the OLD Penn Station to the PRESENT DAY space, he provided captivating stories of Penn's history. He showed us several historic photos as well. He positioned us at many of the PRECISE SPOTS that were captured in some of these old photos. He conveyed the sense of the massiveness of the old building - its multiple levels, its height, and breadth - which we came to appreciate as Justin walked us around the outside of today's Madison Square Garden and back toward the James Farley Post office (which we visited as well). We got a glimpse of the people, the operations, and the beauty of this lost masterpiece, and a whiff of regret, too, as we learned about the disposal and whereabouts of many of its majestic remnants. Justin was very considerate too, aware that some of us might like to skip some staircases. Also, he provided each of us with a cool over-the-ear amplifying device, which enabled us to hear his comments clearly. For any history buffs, railroad buffs, or architecture buffs - this tour is a must!

      Gilded Tour Guide
Lauren was a fantastic guide and gave the tour a great personal touch. She knew her facts, had many great photographs to enhance what we were seeing (& of those buildings long gone) and really had a great sense of the history and a love of NYC. She really made what could'e been a pretty dry tour fun and engaging.

      I enjoyed it
Richard was very knowledgeable about the history of Grand Central Terminal. It was nice to see the different parts of the station instead just the areas you see passing through. Our group was kinda quiet but we had a good time, plus Richard kept checking on everyone throughout the tour.

      Would highly recommend…
John was so knowledgable and captured our attention for the whole tour. I would highly recommend this tour not only for the interesting facts about grand central but it also gives a great base knowledge for the development of NY over time. John delivered the information in an entertaining way and remembered everyone’s names on the tour which was impressive.

The tour, led by Alexis, was a great way to spend a couple of hours on a weekday morning in New York City. Alexis shared photos and surprising information about the subway system as she guided us through a serious of subway stations. The tour was a mix of riding the subway and walking - you'll need to buy your own subway ticket in addition to the tour ticket. It was fun to see two abandoned stations, although I admit I was disappointed that we didn't get to walk through those stations; we glimpsed them from the windows of our subway train (#6) as it looped south and then northward.

I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is curious about the New York City subway system's hidden past, which is sometimes hiding in plain sight.

AJ was a very knowledgeable tour guide. We got on and off several subway trains and he spoke at each station about the history of that station. He showed us old tile that was covered up and as we went past some old abandoned stations he shined his flashlight so we could see them.
I would recommend this tour but if you are in a wheelchair or on a scooter or have difficulty with stairsit is not for you.

This was the best NYC walking tour that I've been on. We thoroughly enjoyed every second, the best part of which was our tour guide Mandy Edgecombe's love and enthusiasm for not only NYC, but for learning and teaching others. She was extremely knowledgeable and genuinely interested in sharing the history of the NYC subway. She filled the entire two hours with interesting facts and stories that were so much more than could have been uncovered in a google search or delivered from a script. The individual headset's and multiple visual aide's were a nice touch that added to the experience.

Really interesting tour! Our guide was an encyclopedia of knowledge on the NYC subway and told us many interesting stories and pointed out little things in the stations to notice. He really knew his subject matter and shared it with enthusiasm. If you appreciate the NYC subway and want to learn more, I recommend you take this tour.

AJ, our tour guide was a wealth of knowledge and friendly! He made a point to remember everyone’s names as well as guide as through the subways - which is no easy feat with tourists! His knowledge was extensive but engaging and clear. Highly recommend

Subway tour offered great historical perspective about why NYC subway lines are the way they are today and why the decor and stations are as they are today. That part was awesome! I thought we might visit some closed to public areas which was disappointing because we didn't. Overall, great tour for the time and money just understand it is a history of the subway and you won't visit places you couldn't visit on your own.

An interesting and entertaining tour with lots of detailed history of how the subway system developed. The guide (AJ) had a deep knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject. We visited several stations in lower Manhattan, rode a couple of trains, and got a quick glimpse of the closed City Hall station. Good for adults.

My friend and I went on a subways tour with A.J.. It was truly a wonderful experience, A.J. is an encyclopedia of information! Not only did we gather a lot of facts about subway history, A.J. has a gift of contextualizing this history so that it comes alive as narratives that interweave with one another. In addition to stops in various subway locations, A.J. shared maps and old photographs that enhanced the stories he told.
Because the subway is so noisy, A.J. provided head sets that were easy to use and always clearly amplified his voice.
For city lovers - both local and tourist - this is a must!

The guide, AJ, was very good - so knowledgeable and easy to understand. It was great to be able to wear earpieces so we had no problem hearing him talk the whole two hours. He gave tons of history of the subway and the different lines that started it and the construction and people involved. We walked down to different areas of the station and he would show pictures and give more information. We traveled on the subway to different stops to see the neat tilework and hear about the naming of the stations, etc. At the end, he had his flashlight out when we were on the train and shined it on a couple of the “ghost stations”, stations that are no longer used, but you can see the beautiful artwork and platforms as you go by, if you shine the light on them. It was a good tour with lots of great information.

Colin (or Cullen), was our guide and he was excellent! I was a bit worried because I have COPD and I get out of breath sometimes when I'm walking. I was worried about whether or not I would be able to keep up. I didn't have to say anything because he really kept things on a pace that was easy to keep up with for everyone. He was so informative and I learned so much. This was a fascinating tour and our guide was very informed and did a fantastic job. We really enjoyed our tour with him and I would highly recommend this to anyone whether a native New Yorker or just visiting. I live here and I learned so much that I never knew about the trains that I ride every day. Now when I ride the train it has a special meaning for me and I think back to the things that I saw and learned on this tour. On a side note, taking this tour really brings home the fact that the greatest contributions to New York City and our country were made by immigrants.

Thank you so much for this very thorough review! Glad even a New Yorker was able to learn so much about an icon in his or her backyard. We appreciate it and we have shared it with Cullen who I know will also be thrilled by it. Take care!
