I'm not one to get spooked easily or a firm believer of the spirits, but there were some pretty spooky parts. Alyssa, our tour guide, was great and extraordinarily knowledgeable about the history of Greenwich Village. As a new local to the city, it was the perfect combination of a history lesson and fascinating ghost stories that my partner and I were looking for.

For me, it's especially surreal to know that I have passed by the house that John Wilks Booth stayed the night before he went on to make history without even knowing it dozen of times before I went on this tour. I would recommend it to anyone that likes any sort of dark history or paranormal activities.

I have been on a couple tours in the city now. And this was by far my favorite. Particularly because we had Jocelyn as our guide! She works in the Music Theatre industry and so made all the ghost stories so dramatic and exciting! You could feel the spooky spirits all around!

My husband, 14-year old son, and I took this tour for our last night in NY. It turned out to be the perfect ending for our trip! James, our tour guide, wove a wonderfully captivating and compelling narrative of Greenwich's 400 year history. The historical sites around Greenwich were incredible to see and the stories were the perfect combination of spooky ghosts and riveting history. Our 14 year old was engaged, asking questions, and stayed off his phone the whole time. That's a credit to James who truly brought the Village to life for us. Super memorable! Highly recommend this!

Jocelyn our guide was very professional and knowledgeable of all the amazing ghostly material. She had a captivating presence that made the tour that much more intense, in the best way. I have lived here for years and knowing more about the complicated history of this city was enthralling. I would do it again and again!

Our tour with Luke was extremely interesting, knowledgeable and entertaining. Luke is a fabulous story teller and kept 4 teenage girls, one 12 year old boy and 2 50-year olds engaged for the full two hours! I have been to NYC countless times and this was a terrific way to learn about the neighbourhod and its history. thanks Top Dog!

This is a neighborhood I frequent as a local from NJ now living in BK- I can no longer see it the same! Thanks Luke for being an awesome guide. Got a few laughs in and you made us feel safe and accommodated for. My nerd out moment was learning about one of the oldest trees in Manhattan, and also the stable road in Wash Sq area. I also got spooked with some of the old tales… did this for a date and recommend for visitors and locals alike if you want unique activity- lots of places to eat and drink around here after .

This is an amazing tour to get a glimpse into hidden New York. The tour takes you down streets that aren't hidden, but streets that you wouldn't particularly go down when maneuvering through the city, but these streets are amazing! Definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get a quirky view of the city. Thank you Rory! 10/10 would recommend.

Sam did an AWESOME job walking us through the streets of Greenwich Village. She told lots of stories and always included her favorite tidbits of information. Not all of the “sites” mentioned in the tour description online were covered on our tour, as some of the stories behind the sites are quite dark and have potentially controversial parts, but Sam was sure to tell us that if we had any specific questions she would be happy to answer them. At the end of the tour, my fiancée and I asked for a pizza-by-the-slice recommendation open after 10pm, and Sam recommended Joe’s, which was a hit!

Had a great time on the ghost story walking tour. Got to really explore the Greenwich area. Stopped at many sites where Luke would explain what happened there. He was a great tour guide. Kept everything fun but informative. Would allow you time to take pictures while navigating our group through the crowded streets. Even took us by the coffee house used in the series Friends. Luke you are the best. Can’t recommend enough. Thanks
