Overview
Dive into one of New York’s favorite foods—the meatball. This 2-hour walking tour explores Greenwich Village to taste a variety of meatballs, from Italian to Turkish. Learn the history of the food and sample four different meatballs throughout your tour and decide which one is your favorite. Discover the culture and history of this famous neighborhood while visiting landmarks such as the arch at Washington Square Park and Bleecker Street.
What to Expect

Meet your guide at a designated location in Greenwich Village to begin your meatball crawl of the city. Head down Greenwich Avenue, past the Judson Memorial Church and through the arch at Washington Square Park sampling a variety of meatballs.

The meatball is a very versatile and universal dish and this tour features Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Turkish, and American-style—all subject to availability. These scrumptious samples come from a variety of local establishments in the neighborhood, including the famous Faicco’s Deli.

Walk along Bleecker Street and learn the history of the neighborhood and its culinary culture before ending the tour at Rocco’s Pastry Shop with a delicious dessert.

Wishing on a meatball

Recently visited NY and took the meatball tour. Greg is a nice guy and gave a good history lesson of the neighborhood, but I wish there would have been more meatball tastings. Only had 3 and the last one consisted of small, cocktail sized meatballs....More

Meatball Tour

Great tour. Greg was a great tour guide. His love for the neighborhood and his family history attached to it really made it personal and interesting. All of the meatballs and tasting were outstanding, as well. I highly recommend Greg and this tour!

Our family (ranging in ages 11-68) had a great time on this tour. Greg was so friendly and hospitable and his knowledge of the area was amazing. We'd do it again. The meatballs were great!

I was a bit skepitcal heading into this. My friend wanted to do it and I thought it was kind of cheesy and very touristy. Boy, was I wrong! Not only was it a lot of fun, but Greg is a walking historian who showed...More
