Our instructor Miems was fantastic. He explained the history and various techniques of Graffiti and he was kind and patient in his instruction. Highly recommend! We were running a few minutes late and he called us a few minutes before the start to check on us and even came down to get us because the location isn’t the easiest to find.

We booked a lesson for my husband’s birthday. There was only one other couple there and we spent the lesson on opposite sides of the room. This is a great pandemic activity for folks who are having trouble finding fun things to do during these turbulent times. Its also important to support cultural creators such as these artists! We had a great time! Our instructor was Gabriel and he was very patient with us- going through the basic terminology, practicing simple techniques, and helping us put together our wonderful tag on canvas that we took home. We had a night time appointment, so I’m not sure what the neighborhood is like during the day- but just take note that it was very quiet, not many places to wander for food/outoor seating or warmth, and the one rooftop bar that is nearby closed it doors literally yesterday. There isn’t a buzzer or doorbell for Graff Tours. We called the contact that was in the booking reservation to be let in.

My 12-year old daugter and I did the graffiti lesson after doing the street art tour with Graff Tours (same company). Our teacher, Envy, was great at explaining the different techniques to draw letters, different width lines, and blending colors with spray paint. My daugther was complaining at the end that it wasn't long enough, which is always a good sign. And it was fun actually getting a chance to create our own art using the techniquest that Envy showed up. A++.

We only had a lesson booked, no walking tour. We were dropped off by Uber in a quiet, isolated and somewhat sketchy neighborhood as it was getting dark. We didn’t see any signs, guide or classmates gathered. Then we noticed the ‘Graff Tours’ designation over the inconspicuous door and let ourselves in. Building seemed dimly lit and then we were unexpectedly greeted by the teacher, an original graffiti artist from the late 60s/early 70s.
Studio was windowless, but cool with fully graffiti’d walls and more spray paint cans than you could count! Due to covid, we were glad to have had masks for the painting. We enjoyed learning the techniques, and appreciated the disposable gloves provided and the personalized ‘tagged’ canvas we created to take home. For maximum enjoyment, I would best recommend this activity with a group (more than 2) and during the day.

The experience is dope.
The culture of street art is something I’ve grown up around as a child, but never truly learned about it until now.
Getting to learn about the art being created and the process was enlightening and influential, because the artist was a true professional. Truly recommend it to all!

This was an amazing experience. I was able to gain a deeper appreciation of the art form plus I learned how to create it. We even came home with a canvas of our work, which was a highlight.
Our instructor was Ghost. He made it fun and easy to follow.

Had an amazing experience, Mims1 was a great instructor. We, as a family, had a blast learning from him. He walked us through step by step to make an absolutely awesome piece of art that will hang in our basement for years to come! #FIREZ

I went with my mom. We had a wonderful experience. Our instructor was named Leaf. He was patient and kind. I would definitely do it again.
However we had trouble getting there and the boss, person who answer the phone, was very disrespectful. We got off the subway and got a little turnt around therefore we called the number provided. When I asked how do we get there the man who answered phone just gave me the address to the lessons. I told him I have the address can you help us get there. We were close by. He said I don't know where you are. I told him what corner we were on and gave him some landmarks. He then said I don't know what you want from me. I said what do you mean you don't know what I want from you I'm asking you for your help to get to your shop. He said I didn't know that was part of my job description. You have google maps just ask someone on the street.
HE WAS VERY RUDE!
I hung up the phone and tried reading the map again this man pointed us in the right direction. We were 5 minutes away. I was so angry. He needs better customer service skills.

This was so much fun! My 22 yr old daughter and I took the class. The two of us worked as a team and made a very cool piece of graffiti. Mimz1 was an excellent teacher - he taught us how to do different line weights, make bubble or "squared" letters and how to do a gradient effect with more than one color. We had some practice time and then got to work on our final piece. We were not good at the white highlighting, but Mimz1 helped clean up our work. Thanks for an awesomne class!

Can we do one as a family? There are 4 of us, and we don’t need this much graffiti in our house.

Yes, there was a family of four and they worked on one canvas all together. My daughter and I worked on another canvas separately (and we ended up not taking it with us because it's pretty large, and we were flying home the next day).
