    Food Lovers’ Walk
I asked Bill to organise a walk for 3 fit people with varied interests, a chef and his partner with a passion for food, and a vet who is always interested in anything to do with animals. He provided us all with a unique experience of lower Manhattan. This was the second time in NYC for me and the second time I have enjoyed a day with Bill. Thank you. From Julie Paris, and Sophie & Owen.

    George Washington Bridge
I always wanted to walk across the GW Bridge, and Bill made it possible. Not only did our small group cross the bridge, but we got a history lesson along the way. At the end of the bridge we continued up the hiking trail across the Palisades, through a quite forest on a perfect fall day. We saw only three other hikers, and three deer. It was amazing. After about 6miles, we came out in a small park in Tenafly, and were met by a young gentleman with a spotlessly clean SUV, and transported to The 76 House Restaurant in Tappan, NY. where we had a really nice lunch (part of the tour price). we then got back in the SUV, and were driven back to the city. Highly recommended for a great walk, history lesson, and all around excellent adventure. rosie150

    Fantastic GW Bridge/Palisades Walk
Had a fantastic day with Bill the Teacher guiding us on a very nice long walk! We began on the NY side of the George Washington Bridge at 9am. Walked across getting history lessons along the way and seeing beautiful sites. Immediately at the end of the bridge begins a tree lined path by the river going for miles!! It was quite a thing walking among relatively virgen forest where Indians and Revolutionary soldiers walked...the weather was perfect with just a bit of chill in the air. Simply amazing to be so close to Manhattan and yet feel in another world of nature. Seeing the river from these views is a true experience. In total we walked about 6 miles. We were picked up by a very nice car and driver for the ride into Tappan. We had some more history along the way and ate a delicious lunch at the Old 76 House. It is the oldest tavern in NY state and the original part is still there...plus additions from later in the 18th century. George Washington and Alexander Hamilton hung here, plus many other key players in US history. The car dropped us off at convenient NYC locations and we were relaxed and smiling! I met great new friends and thought the whole day was splendid. All around an exciting day that I will treasure forever and hope to do again.

St.Paul's Chapel, Wall St. adjacent area and 9-11 Memorial Area
Bill is extremely knowledgeable, personable and obviously loves leading tours. He sets a good pace of travel and at the same time, answers any/all questions. The tour was interesting, educational, and a great investment of our time and money. All-in-all, very impressive...a grand job by Bill. We would "tour" w/Bill again.

Terriific Hike along the Hudson River
We went on this extraordinary hike along the Hudson River starting in Manhattan at the foot of the George Washigton Bridge, walking across to New Jersey and continuing north through the Palisades Interstate Park to a late lunch in Tenafly. It combines close acquaintance with one of the great monuments of the city with a hike on an extraordinary preserved piece of nature along the river. Extraordinary views, great hiking led by a gracious and very well informed leader. Quite a treat!!!

Hispanic Society, American Academy of Arts & Letters, Hamilton's Home & Londel's Harlem Restaurant
Bill's custom tour includes his best secret sites of Harlem's Sugar Hill and ended with a fantastic buffet at Londel's. The annual exhibit at the Academy of Arts & Letters features invigorating contemporary art and a full replica of composer Charles Ives' studio. I met Rudolph Serra by chance! The Hispanic Society contains a room of Sorolla's masterful and flowing paintings and so much more. Bill freely shares his knowledge of art and history of New York City in a friendly and personable way. I'm a New Yorker and didn't know these places! I look forward to my next tour.
