It was my 1st time taking a tour while in New York. Our tour guy Sheldon was absolutely amazing and was very knowledgeable about the places he showed my family and I. You can see and feel his passion of the city he grew up in. My favorite part was the Ground Zero pplart of the tour. It was my second time going there but to hear the story and what it was like from someone that experienced, knew what it was like to lose someone close gave me a whole different perspective of the sight. He talked and explained about the monument where the buildings once stood and so much more. I highly recommend him if you want the true feeling and history of New York.

We were a group of 4 adults and 4 teenagers. Sheldon was punctual collecting us from our hotel and the van was very comfortable. Sheldon had a big sense of humour and entertained our group throughout the tour. He also did his best to engage the teenagers in the group. Sheldon is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about New York and can tailor the tour to meet the groups requirements. If you are wanting a personalised tour and/or have limited time in New York, I would definitely recommend choosing this tour group. We also appreciated Sheldon sharing his family’s story relating to 9/11, as it was emotional.

The initial interview with Sheldon let us know we had found the right team to handle our diverse family dynamics. As a live long resident of the area he had the history of the history. Being able to touch on the areas he knew would be of most importance for us. I would highly recommend he and his team as the one to rely on for your exploration of the area. Choose another would be remorseful. Once had the experience with Sheldon you would realize you had made a mistake with other vendors. I’ve tried others in the past, but I fell upon Sheldon when he had the private vehicle that could accommodate 14 passengers, although we were on a party six. Giving us plenty of room in the Sprinter being masterfully driven through the streets by Sims. I look forward to return visits, and I will always call upon Sheldon and his company. I recommend you do the same.

Don’t hesitate to book with Best New York Tours, worth every penny! We saw and learned about far more than we imagined in a 4 hour span. Both driver and guide ( Marshall ) were excellent and entertaining.Stopped whenever we asked and let us decide what we wanted to spend time seeing.

Sheldon was a great tour guide. I have been to NYC several times in my lifetime, but he shared so many stories and tidbits about the City that I never knew, so it felt like I was seeing NYC for the FIRST time!! Highest recommendation.

Sheldon curated the perfect sightseeing day for us. He was able to pack so much into 5 hours, yet we didn’t feel rushed or tired. Every detail was handled and he took great care to pace the day to accommodate my elderly father who was with us. The only down side is it made us wish we had more time - so we will definitely be booking Sheldon again soon!

We scheduled a trip to NYC for a conference and I was with 12 of my colleagues, we needed a group tour. When I saw the number of positive reviews I took a gamble. It turns out there was no gamble involved, it was a sure bet. Sheldon and I talked a few times ahead of the trip, I immediately knew he was the right choice. It was a highlight tour in many aspects. We got off the bus many times, he told stories, showed us how much Manhattan has changed and told jokes. He is an entertainer. The stop at the WTC memorial is a must, his story is very moving and the memorial is very moving. Other highlights, Grand Central , Hudson Yards, Brooklyn (next time I will have him do just a Brooklyn tour) and much more or whatever else we asked for. G, the driver, was awesome keeping us safe and on schedule. Well done!!! Comments from my colleagues, “best tour ever”, “so engaging”,”where did you find this guy?what a gem”. Sheldon’s knowledge and gift for story telling made the day a sensational experience! We did a 7 hour trip of the Hudson Valley and Sheldon was able to share details of the rich history of the valley and how it relates to New York City. We went to places off the beaten track that we otherwise would not have known about. As we are staying in NY for another few weeks Sheldon provided heaps of advice on other activities and sights for us to see whilst we are here on our stay. I would thoroughly recommend Sheldon to anyone who wants to get a deeper experience of NY.

We enjoyed our 2 hours with Kyle walking through Central Park. He fed us fascinating historical information of the Park and the city. His manner was relaxed and friendly. Thanks Kyle, a highlight of our visit to NYC.

We traveled today with Josef to brooklyn bridge, brooklyn hights and dumbo. It was a wonderful tour. We enjoy Josef experience and knowledge. Three very interesting hours. I hope we can do a lot of free tours by foot in the future.
