Josh came through as an enthusiastic guide who loves his city and its food and history. We enjoyed discovering places and food we would not otherwise have experienced with him.
As a 75+ Brit with dodgy knees and ankles, I did not find it too long.

Delicious, Informative & Fun Tour!
This Lower East Side food and walking tour by Urban Adventures was phenomenal! Alex was very knowledgeable. We learned a lot about many different immigrant communities. And the food was great! Come hungry because it’s not just small bites! (Note: cannoli not part of tour, but we purchased ourselves along the way). Highly recommend!

Fun way to visit the Lower East Side
Feb 2020
We've been to NYC many times, but often get stuck in the same rut of doing only the very touristy attractions. This tour was a welcome change as we had the chance to visit a neighborhood that we had never experienced. Bruce was a fantastic guide - lived locally so he had many great stories and facts to share. All the food we sampled was great and very authentic. Will definitely take another food tour of another neighborhood next time we are in town. Perfect for adults, but our teenagers (16 y/o girl and 19 y/o boy) also loved it!

Great experience!
Was a bit anxious being solo on this tour (off-season business trip) but ended up having a great time!
My guide Bruce was awsome and had some great tips for the rest of my stay in NYC!
I would recommend this tour for anyone who wants a local experience, anytime of the year.

Terrific!
This tour was fun, informative and very tasty! Brian was great, obviously has a passion for what he does. Seems to truly know the area and it's history, and clearly loves sharing with others. Showed us hidden gems, food was great and abundant...then followed up with an email telling us everywhere we'd been, which is great because I try to take notes but usually end up not understanding them...wonderful way to get "the lay of the land", with much useful information about lower East Side neighborhoods! Highly recommend

I went on the Tenements Lower Manhattan Taste Tour with Brian. It was a fabulous experience! I grew up and lived in NYC for over 30 years and still found the tour an eye opener! It was informative and fun!!! Brian is extremely personable and is very knowledgeable in history, culture and foods. I highly recommend this tour.

Brian and tour are wonderful!
We are locals (NJ) and decided to explore our own backyard. Brian was an energetic guide, offering the right blend of fun and history. We enjoyed the sites, explanations and bites along the way. Brian also provided recommendations of restaurants to explore in the city. Highly recommend this tour!

My son and I went on the NYC Lower East Side Food and Culture tour with Brian
The tour was informative, we learned about the different immigrant groups, the settlement of Manhattan by different groups and sampled great food. Brian provided us with a wealth of information, and accommodated spontaneous requests to stop and check out places along our route. I would recommend this tour with Brian to visitors and locals. I have walked along these streets before without knowing what hidden gems were there.

Great walking tour of NYC
Dec 2019
Alex was an excellent guide. Even as NYC veterans we learned quite a bit of the unknown NYC. We sampled a number of NYC staples all of which were great. Definitely worth the time and $$.
