Photography at the World Trade Center was just wonderful ! Zim obviously knew the area and led us to perfect photography sites. She looks at your photos and effortlessly makes suggestions for a better angle or setting for the photo. Painless learning and great afternoon.

I’ve done 3 group safaris and 1 private session and have been pleased all 4 times. Zim is an excellent instructor - she is patient, extremely knowledgeable and fun! Highly recommend!

The NYC World Trade Center Photo Safari with Zim was outstanding! Zim is extremely knowledgeable in this field and is able to explain complicated concepts in such a way that a relative novice can fully comprehend. During the Photo Safari, I learned a lot about photography in general, with a specific focus on camera settings, composition, depth of field, lens filters, etc. Zim was also very patient, provided detailed advice, answered all of my (many) questions thoroughly, and helped me to capture some great photos! This was a very valuable experience and one that I highly recommend.

This was an incredible tour that I would highly recommend. Having lived here for many years, my tour guide (Zim) obviously has a deep understanding of the city and was able to give a true locals perspective. Despite being a total beginner at photography, the photo tour was perfect for me. Zim took the time to help me understand how my camera works, which settings would be right for what I want to shoot, and the fundamentals of photography. I feel this tour would be perfect for anyone with any interest in photography - from beginners through to advanced.

My son got a new camera, but didn’t know how to use it, so we scheduled a private photo Safari with Zim. She taught him how to use his camera and then they ran around taking all kinds of different pictures, including LEGO minifig photography (which we learned is called macro photography), dog photography, landscape, photography, and portraits. She even brought a macro lens for him to try! My son had a great time and Zim was very patient and enthusiastic!

Our guide was patient, knowledgeable, and able to explain clearly. We had a great shoot after a heavy rain and got some great shots and a better set of skills to shoot at night. I highly recommend it.

I really enjoy taking these photography courses. They are 3 hours and in small groups. Zim is very knowledgeable and we cover a lot of different topics which has greatly improved my photography. She checks in with everyone and offers suggestions on techniques to try for different results. I will definitely continue to sign up for these sessions.

I had a wonderful experience with Zim on the Brooklyn Bridge tour. I learned so much, and we captured some great photos! I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to learn more about photography.

I was fortunate enough to go on this tour with Zim on a lovely Saturday evening in July. Zim makes the most of your time, offering incredibly insightful tips and tricks that will make you reconsider what you think you know about photography! Tons of great information that would take too long to list, but the NYC locations are the perfect backdrops on which to practice your new skills.

I learned more about my camera in 90 minutes than in the 3 years I’ve had it! Great guidance on composition as well!! Guide/teacher was very enthusiastic and friendly! Would definitely take another class!!

I had such a fantastic experience with the Manhattan Architecture Photo Safari that I booked another, this time the Central Park Tour. I was delighted to see that Zim was once again my instructor, and knew that my daughter-in-law and I would get many tips to make our photos of NYC the best they could be. I remember Zim being a Canon shooter back on my first tour. I am a Nikon shooter, and both my daughter-in-law and I were using differnt models of the Z series. Plus we were both shooting in different modes. Zim went through all of the camera menus, navigating each with ease, even though they were very different. Zim is a wealth of knowledge and experience, and can guide anyone, regardless of skill level or equipment. It is apparent that she loves her city, and wants her clients/students to share in its beauty. Zim helped us capture it, taking advantage of our camera's technology, while applying our new skills from the knowledge she shared. She has a wonderful personality, is an engaging speaker and a good listener. She heard what we wanted to get out of our experience, and challenged us to beome better photographers. I will take another safari, probably in the spring of 2025. What a wonderful way to see NYC, and take home photographic memories!

I actually booked another tour and towards the end the guide, Zim, had to end a bit early. She kindly offered me to join this tour later. Through both tours, Zim has been phenomenal in sharing tips. I have take a few photography session in the past and a few things stood out with Zim. She was sharing more than a single photo spot/angle that makes great pictures. She was also sharing the theory behind it and posed it as a challenge first, "If you want to do X, how would you do it". Such a format was very helpful because we would try to figure out how to do it and then get feedback and we would repeat until we have gotten a great shot. So I have walked away with more learnings and practice than I would get from a regular photowalks.
