About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- yuhjenl20160 contributionsBiking in Central Park is a great way to see the park quickly!I had a “go city” pass and wanted to do the Central Park guided tour. Right now (November ) they only offer it at 10am and they won’t allow you to reserve it ahead of time. They allow 12 riders in this tour and recommend you arrive at 9am to grab your spot for the 10am tour. We missed the tour so we just rented the bikes for the day and went around Central Park on our own. It was still a lot of fun. The customer service at the shop is ok, not the greatest or friendliest. But it was an adequate experience. My husband’s bike was squeaking the entire time. Too bad they don’t make sure the bikes are in good condition BEFORE you rent them. They ask AFTER you ride if there are any problems but in my opinion that is too late. Great weather today!Written November 25, 2024
- Debbie N0 contributionsSuperb private Ebike tourSuperb. Private tour family of 4 Guide, bikes, Knowledge was superb. We had a 3 hour private tour which we designed with our guide to pick off our list & Aldo his recommendations. Superb- if you do anything in NYC do this 🤔Written November 7, 2024
- Fas10740 contributionsDon't use them! The service was terrible. The people were rude and unhelpful. My bike chain clearly needs replacing as it nearly came off whenever I pushed hard on the pedals, regardless of what gear I was in. I told the staff who didn't care. The location means you have to cycle two busy blocks to get to Central Park. I suggest you use another company.Written October 29, 2024
- troyk6010 contributionsApp doesn't work poor customer service.Poor customer service App doesn't work not able to show QR code wasted 40 bucks rude customer service at front desk it's a scamWritten October 27, 2024
- G4459XTjessical0 contributionsPoorly maintained bikes and poor customer servicePoorly maintained bikes, the chain broke and the company denied liability and accused us of improper use refusing us a refund. What was offered was a return trip which we were unable to use as we were visiting on holidays and leaving that day. Poor customer service, one would have expected a refund and a return trip for the inconvenience of the situation which resulted in one of our party having to walk back to the depot from well inside Central Park and missing out on a memorable experience.Written October 16, 2024
- Edge250 contributionsWorth a GoInteresting and varied 3 hour tour in NYC. Expertly guided by Benjamin. No other bookings for our particular tour - so just myself and my husband. Really enjoyed. Would recommendWritten October 14, 2024
- DarrenCSwift0 contributionsFun, easy and informative. We went out with Joel who was an outstanding host for the two plus hours we spent in Central Park. Lots of stops at all the significant places with Joe filling is in on all the relevant details. We even had some Shakespeare from Joel, a little bit of midsummers night dream, in which I was given permission to marry his daughter but I did feel sorry for the poor gent who was chosen as Lysander. Group attention obviously wasn’t his thing. All in all a nice couple of hours in a good eclectic mix of people and I have to admit to shedding a small tear in strawberry fields - what a gorgeous monument to the great man. Bike handout and collection was easy, the QR system worked well and because we arrived at 0830 we were able to book our tour and slip off to liberty bagels for breakfast before we headed off out. Well worth a visit.Written October 9, 2024
- 235jeffreyz0 contributionsNice staff, a little communication snafusUB provided the transport of personal bikes to a charity bike ride event in Westchester. The staff were very friendly and earnest, but not everyone had details of what they were supposed to do. They made calls to one another and worked quickly to make it work. The bike/helmet/gear arrived and was set up in an easy to use area. After the ride, they accommodated me in taking my bike back to the store for pick-up (I mistakenly thought the ride ended in NYC) but said I could pick it up Monday when in fact, the bikes were all taken to storage in NJ and would not be in the store until Tuesday. Inconvenient, but all along the way the staff were nice and worked hard to please. They are very busy so they must be doing things right. Happy to use them again for next year's charity ride now that I know how it works.Written October 8, 2024
- david_aussie0 contributionsPoorly maintained bikes, do not recommendVery disappointed with this bike tour. The bikes are not well maintained - chain came off twice while riding including one time while crossing car traffic in order to keep up the the large group of 12 riders. Also the seat was not tightened, and was loose causing the entire seat to lift up. I could not sit and had to bike most of the 3 hours by standing up. The tour guide had no bike tools to handle any kind of mechanical issues with the bike. A simple hex wrench could have fixed this issue. Poor management to send out tour guides with no tools. I sent multiple messages to them and never got a response. I give management a 1 out of 5 score for lack of follow up. Also, the group was too large and required riders to cross intersections on red lights to keep up. The guide appeared to have no sensitivity to this. Future groups should be limited to 7-8 max. Would not recommend this tour service to future customers. I recommend this one: nycadventurebiketoursWritten October 5, 2024
- sheerheartattack0 contributionsDo not use!!Do not use this company there at mouse house operation. My wife just had knee replacement surgery 5 months ago and can use a regular bike. She tried using this E bike and it was very hard to use. We returned within five minutes and the guy would not offer us a refund of any kind. In addition, they charge a $500 deposit to hold on your credit card. Terrible company don't use.Written October 4, 2024
- Bob L0 contributionsExcellent experiece and kind staffJason did a wonderful job giving us the history and highlights of Central and fun exercise. He kept the group together and made sure we were always safe. The staff was great. I arrived a couple mins late and a staff person rode me up to catch up with the tour. - Patrick O0 contributionsCentral Park by bike - yes!Loved our bike tour in Central Park! We took a 2 hour rental, which gave us plenty of time to do a full loop around the park with time to spare so we didn’t stress about going over the 2 hours. Fun!Written August 23, 2024
- BLC220 contributionsGreat way to explore Central ParkA brilliant guided bike tour for 2 hrs through central park. Our guide, Joel, was knowledgeable, fun and was happy to accommodate walking instead of cycling the short distance from the rental location to the entrance of the park (due a nervous rider!) Plenty of stops, water breaks and chance to explore whilst Joel stayed with the bikes. We saw way more than we would on foot and learned a lot more. Great 2 hrs and would highly recommend.Written August 18, 2024

Review for Dan at Unlimited Biking – 10AM Tour, 11th Feb
Dan was absolutely amazing! From start to finish, he made our tour an unforgettable experience. My friend Gavin and I had the pleasure of joining his 10AM tour on February 11th, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide.
Dan was not only incredibly knowledgeable and engaging but also hilarious – he kept us entertained the entire time with his great sense of humor. He went above and beyond, taking loads of photos and even a video for us, making sure we had great memories to take home. His enthusiasm and energy were contagious, and he even treated us to a song, which was a brilliant touch!
He was so helpful throughout the tour, ensuring everyone was comfortable and having a great time. If you’re thinking about booking a bike tour, we 100% recommend Dan – he truly made the experience an absolute pleasure! Thank you, Dan, for an unforgettable day! 🚴♂️🎶📸

My husband and I recently used Unlimited Biking for a 2 hour tour round Central Park. When we arrived it was quick and easy to book onto the tour using our Go City pass and bikes were well maintained. Dan, our tour guide, was brilliant and gave us lots of information about the park. He took lots of photos and videos of us as we rode around the park and made the effort to add extra information, with a side of humour. I would definitely recommend you take one of these tours and ask for Dan, who will add that personal touch for your adventure!

An amazing and memorable experience doing the 2 hour bike tour with Dan! We had originally planned to just rent bikes and do our own thing but I am so glad we went for the guided tour instead and I would recommend it all day long. Our tour guide Dan was brilliant and knew his stuff, he went out of his way to make the whole group feel special taking time to learn where in the world they were from and he learnt about their places back home, throwing in some musical entertainment for extra fun along the way. I learnt so much about the park and the surrounding areas and buildings that I would never have known or discovered by just renting bikes and cycling round ourselves. The bike tour was one of the highlights of our whole trip to NY! Thanks Dan

The people at the reception were unpleasant, I did not feel welcomed at all. No smile, if you don't fill in the form correctly, you get packed. $1 is charged to the credit card for administrative or similar charges. We highly recommend a $5 insurance for a 2h visit. Fortunately, the (Joe) Central Park tour guide helps us to pick up the tab, with his explanations, his enthusiasm and the fact that he does not look on time and allows us to take our time.

This was a fantastic bike tour. Be sure to get there early to sign up because they will fill up for the day. Our guide, Dan, was energetic, engaging, kept things fun, and was informative. The speed was easy to keep up with and there were plenty of breaks. We had our full family with us and Dan was great about taking pictures so we could all be in them and even video’ed us as we were riding. Overall, lots of fun and highly recommend!

We took a bike tour of Central Park. It was a great experience! Our guide, Joel, was very informative and entertaining. He took extra time with us and was great at explaining both the history of the park and pop culture pertaining to the park. It was great value for the money.

A great two hours and lots of interesting information from Joel , the tour guide. It was busy so you just have to watch not to pull up when other faster riders coming through, but otherwise, lots of stops and shade. Joel waited for us each time. Loved finding out about the area, more interesting than trying to do this by yourself.
The ride there and back is about three blocks, not daunting if you just follow the tour leader as there are some bike lanes.

Had an amazing tour around Central Park with our guide Dan who made our experience unforgettable. Both hadn’t rode a bike for a few years yet found them easy to use. Dan had a great deal of knowledge about the park and buildings. Plenty of stops for photos/videos and he played some great tunes as we took in the park. Would highly recommend. Thanks again to Dan.

Holy cow! I lived in NYC for 20 years and never rode a bike in Central Park. This tour was outstanding- learned so much, explored nooks of the park I had never seen, and experienced the thrill of riding through the streets on a bike. Dan was our guide and he couldn't have been better. Took my 9 year old son who absolutely loved it. Am telling all my friends (locals and visitors) to book!

Can we ride our own bikes on this tour?
Written September 15, 2018
They provide bikes, all the same model. They will require you to call them 48 hours in advance to get your height so they can prepare your bike. You can always ask them then, maybe they will allow it, I don't know.

How do we know what your group is called to find out location?
Written August 17, 2018
I agree to the response from luvhrsz. Bike and Roll will sign you up either online or over the phone. I purchased the New York Sightseeing pass for 3 days for 2 people. This allowed me to enter us using my pass. I called to make the reservation. I agree that you will want to wear comfortable outdoor clothes as it gets warm. A bottle of water is provided. There is no place to store things once there so unless you want to take it along on the tour do not bring it along. (such as a purse). Also remember to bring sunscreen.

The voucher doesn’t say the specific location. Where exactly in Central Park is the meeting location?

They don’t have tandem bikes, but they have trailer bikes they can hitch to the back of a regular bike- I suggest you call ahead so they can prepare it. We did this for my two small nieces (11 and 13 yrs old, both under 5 feet tall). If your daughter is tall, she might not be too comfortable riding the trailer bike.
