Great tour with a very good guide
Nick was the best. He was entertaining and informative. We learned a lot about Graffiti versus Street art, but also about the neighbourhood and its people. I really recommend this tour.

      Well worth the cost
Thank you, John, for an interesting and informative walking tour over the Brooklyn Bridge and into DUMBO. Well worth the money to learn about the building of the bridge and the stories of the people involved. Otherwise we would have just walked across and enjoyed the beautiful views without this extra information. At John's suggestion, we ate at Juliana's pizza and took the ferry back to Manhattan.

      What a marvellous tour!
Without knowing what to expect, I booked one of the best tours of my stay in New York. Nic, our guide, gave us an understanding of the background to street art and graffiti in a really funny and entertaining way. He showed us the incredibly beautiful artworks and explained the story behind each piece. You can't help but be amazed. After two hours you are so inspired that you want to see more and more. This corner of Brooklyn is also very interesting because it still has that casual, unpretentious ease and you can tell that it's on the radar to becoming a hip, trendy area of New York. That's why you should take a little time to walk around after the tour and maybe visit one of the cool restaurants. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

Satellite community is a star of its own
Rise and fall and rebound of a neighborhood that always looks across the East River to Manhattan. Suitable people who likes streety stuff and brick houses

      an amazing tour
Katty, the tour guide was amazing…she has lots of information to share, and a great passion towards the Graffiti and street art. unfortunately, it was a hot day, and an emergency got us to shorten the tour. Thank you for this amazing experience.

This experience was so amazing and different. We had a fantastic, knowledgeable and personable tour guide who spent time discussing the street art and answering our questions as if she had all day. She was not hurried or deaf to our thoughts. It was a truly interesting experience and one we would highly recommend.
Also, working with Gabe to set our tour was so easy. We changed our timing a number of times and each time he was so nice about it and just did it.
I highly recommend this unique and interesting visit.

A brilliant way to see and experience a Brooklyn neighborhood! Nic was a great guide, professor of all things street art and graffiti in the Bushwick area. As an artist himself, he brought to life what we were seeing and experiencing. Serendipity that we saw two street artists and got to spend time talking and learning from them.
A new fav term, one of the artists was on vc from FL on a
    Paint-cation!
I highly recommend this tour... So worth the time and cost.
Again, Nic engages the group, you come away with a new sense of appreciation for this ever changing art form
    Just do it

On the starting point of the tour you can already see the beautiful street art around you. The guide took us around a few blocks and explained about the art and artists. This tour is wonderful to get to know the Bushwick collective, so you can better understand and recognize what you see around. However, in my opinion it's a bit pricey considering what you get.

My best friend and I love street art of all kinds, but the tour felt kinda stiff. Meaning we stayed within 2 blocks of our original meeting place. And also, less description (standing around) and more walking. I guess,, I would have liked to see some "off the beaten path." And then when we made our own graffiti art, I was surprised that 80% was done by the artist there to teach us and not us. That was a real bummer for me. My best friend said she enjoyed her time, so that's all that matters.

We knew nothing about street art at all but our tour guide introduced us to this kind of art so nicely. He knew so much about all the artworks and seemed to know all corners and people in this neighbourhood. Since this tour was one of our highlights in New York, we would highly recommend this tour to everyone else

As a real fan of streetart all over the world, I was quite excited tot visit Brooklyn. And there was indeed a lot of streetart to see. Our guide knew what he was talking about, especially about the local artists. It was a pity though that he wasn't interested in his audience. There was no interaction between him and the people who took the tour. He just wanted to tell his story, and that in a boring way without any sense of humor. Conclusion: glad that we discovered the area, disappointed in the guide.

This was an amazing tour of a local Brooklyn neighbouring that contains some of the best street artists around. Our guide Derek had a thorough understanding of the history and the artists of the area and he provided lots of interesting anecdotes and insights on everything that we saw. Appreciated his local connection to the people in the neighborhood and his authentic approach. Lots of time to take photos, chat with locals and ask questions. Highly suggest staying around for the local food as there are lots of great options within the area that we toured. If you want to see real street art and get an understanding of some history take this tour. You will not be disappointed.
