Grab a cup of joe to go after joining your group at a local Bushwick, Brooklyn coffee shop to keep you warm on this outdoor tour. Meet with your guide who knows the city streets like the back of his or her hand and take to the pavement where creativity and color flow with an energy that’s unlike any other place on earth. Listen to your guide describe the borough’s impressive street art scene and growing appreciation for the urban artists who venture from across the globe to make their mark in public spaces here. Wander past some of the borough’s best murals and check out examples of street art that cover brick walls, lampposts and street signs.  Gain a better understanding of what is a truly unique art form on this up-close urban adventure, where the neighborhood’s graffiti culture is recognized as one of the world’s best. Excellent tour of Bushwick showing all the different types of street art - didn't realise there were so many styles. Derek (our guide) had excellent knowledge and a passion for the street art that shone through.

A greater appreciation for the detail
Oct 2019
Our first day in NYC and we headed to Brooklyn for this walking tour on a warm autumnal day. The tour radiated out from Wyckoff Street at a nice relaxed pace. The guide was passionate about the artwork on show and she had a fantastic depth of knowledge, artists from all over the world add their style to the neighbourhood. Graffiti once considered vandalism has blossomed since the 70's, the talent on show was impressive, even some of the guides pieces were on display. Our party were aged from 12 through to 70, an eclectic mix with something for all. Highly recommended. Unfortunately I cannot remember the guides name but she is in one of the photos attached.

Brooklyn Street Art walking tour
This art form is fascinating to me and it was so much more than I expected!!! Our guide, Derek, was so knowledgable and personable. I know we didn’t see it all in the 2hour plus tour, so I’ll just have to come back

This is a good tour. The guide was very informative. Street art you get to see changes on a regular basis - I would’ve liked to see some with more social / political content

Fabulous Graffiti and Street Art Tour with Knowledgeable Guide Derrick Edwards
Aug 2019 • Friends
Bushwick, Brooklyn seems like one big open air museum. There is intricate, colorful, thought provoking, and often beautiful street art nearly everywhere you look. While you could walk around the area without a tour, Derrick, our guide, had wonderful background information on so many of the artists and the works we saw, as well as on the history of graffiti and street art. He was well spoken, professional, and very personable. Highly recommended!

Great tour and guide
Aug 2019
Our guide, Derek, was excellent. He was both informative and entertaining. One can walk around on one’s own, but Derek who happens to be a local knew so much not only about graffiti, but the neighborhood as well. His enthusiasm sparked an interest in graffiti for me. It was a great experience
