Tasty learning fun in the city!
My 13-year-old daughter and I loved this tour. The treats were generous in size and the tour guide provided interesting context to help us learn about the history of the desserts and how the bakeries fit into New York History. My daughter said it was a "10 out of 10!"

    Brendan!
We did a tour over the weekend as part of my sister's bachelorette party, and it exceeded my expectations completely! Not only were the places perfect and the desserts wonderful, but our tour guide, Brendan, gave it that little bit of extra that made it memorable. Brendan was so kind, but also provided us with some historical NYC facts, facts about the venues themselves, etc. and it was unexpected and appreciated. We will DEFINITELY be booking the Hells Kitchen tour in the future and requesting Brendan as our guide!

    Yummy and informative
It was a very enjoyable time even in the rain you definitely need to be able to walk, if you haven't been in New York you'll find that you need to be able to walk at a good Pace to get to most places. Luckily there was only the four of us and our group so our guide was very patient with the slow walkers we had

Rori was our guide. She was pleasant and informative. Aside from the delectable treats we ventured to areas of NYC that were very interesting and previously not known to many of us who were native New Yorkers. Well done. .

    Such a Sweet Tour
This was such a fun well paced tour! We had 3 days to pack all the fun that we could into our NY trip with our 18 and 13 year old sons and this tour was in the top 2 of the 9 amazing experiences that we had during spring break. Since we were the only guests scheduled for this timeslot, we felt like royalty as we had our own private tour. Our tour guide (Rory) was friendly, energetic, and most importantly, prompt in meeting us at the designated location. She did an amazing job of covering the highlights of some of the oldest, sustainable, and artistically creative bakeries in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood. In addition to the tasty treats that we devoured at each stop, Rory took ample time at each bakery stop to tell us about the history of the bakery, it's significance in the neighborhood, while giving us time to enjoy our treats. We selected the noon tour, but as a fair warning to future visitors, do NOT schedule early dinner reservations (especially if you are going to a show that evening) you will not be hungry after this tour. We moved our reservations until after the Broadway show. LOL! Thank you Rory for such a delightful and pleasantly fattening tour. ~Sincerely, The family one town over from Silver Springs MD

    Great tour, highly recommended!
We took the Hell's Kitchen Dessert Tour, it was awesome. We visited 5 or 6 places, and for the last two (a whole cupcake and a huge cream puff) we had to pack up the samples and take them home, we were so full. We were introduced to hidden gems we never would have found on our own, and in addition to wonderful dessert we got a lot of history about the area itself as well as each of the bakeries. Our guide was clearly passionate about the area, and he did share a lot of interesting information. My only complaint is that I have had more personable guides - usually on a tour, as we are walking from place to place, the guide shares even more info on the walk. This guide (I forget his name) just let the group chat among ourselves. But that is a very minor complaint about what was really a fun and interesting - and very tasty! - tour.

    Ice Cream in October!
My daughter and I had a great time doing a private ice cream tour (private since we went in late October). Our guide was friendly and full of great historical facts not only about ice cream and the various places but some nearby NYC landmarks also. The tour was a good pace and length and a perfect thing to do on a sunny afternoon. Very grateful to Sugartooth Tours for accommodating our request for an off-season ice cream tour!

    Great Treats
A wonder walk thru Hell’s Kitchen learning about it’s past and present. Visiting places you probably wouldn’t find on your own with very generous tastings - finishing my last one today

    Highly Recommend!
I did this tour with 5 kids (3 - 7yo and 2 - 5yo) and three moms and it was perfect for us! Brendan was a wonderful tour guide. The desserts were excellent and it was just the right amount of walking for little legs.

Really fun walking tour! The history of the neighborhood and the bakeries was interesting and the samples were absolutely OUTSTANDING!! Each one was full sized...could only take a bite or two of each. SO GOOD!

Best tour I’ve ever been on. The cupcakes; the knowledge; the experience! Our guide seamlessly blended the story of each bakery into the history of NYC to create a surreal journey that leaves an impact for a long time.

Initially booked this tour for April 2020. They would only give me a credit instead of a refund. Tried twice to reschedule; once they never replied to my request. Finally went on the tour 4/16/22. I had booked a private tour, but arrived to find another pair on our tour (who also had booked a private tour.) Roxi was a very good tour guide: pleasant, knowledgeable, and experienced. Visited 6 bakeries; only had a choice of flavors at 2 of them (Schmackary's and Huascar & Co.) The Sour Cream Apple pie at Little Pie Co. was quite good. The small piece of baklava at Poseidon Bakery was terrible; it had a very odd flavor. The Chocolate Chip challah bread (we were supposed to have chocolate chip sourdough, but they were sold out) was also disappointing: it was dry and tasteless. I chose a bacon chocolate chip cookie at Schmackary's and liked it. The cherry pistachio cupcake I chose at Huascar & Co was also very good. The Earl Gray Cream Puff at Bibble and Sip was fine (and enormous).

The tour cost almost $70 plus the "optional" tip, so it cost around $155 for my party of two. Considering that the price of the food if bought on your own is only about $25, I do not feel like we got our money's worth. The history and information provided by the tour guide was interesting, but most of it could be found with a simple Google search.

My advice: visit the places on your own. You'll get to choose items that appeal to you, you won't get overstuffed, and you'll save a bunch of money.

I bought my mom a gift certificate to the Hell's Kitchen tour and we both really enjoyed it. I've been in NYC for 15 years and I love sweet treats, and I only knew two of the spots we visited, which was awesome because I love discovering new spots to try among the endless possibilities in NYC. This tour is not about the "best cupcakes in NYC" or the latest Instagram food trends, which you can easily find yourself. It's more about uncovering legendary spots and newcomers in Hell's Kitchen that are doing something really unique and special, and the stories behind them.

All of the desserts were delicious (including the best cookie I've ever had) and the portions were perfect to take the place of lunch without feeling gross. Our tour guide was really fun and had great stories about the neighborhood and the theater community. Highly recommend for locals and visitors!

The guide was very nice...each place we stopped had a treat for us. A good commentary on each place and Hells Kitchen. The Greek Bakery was the best! I took my grand daughter(14) and her best friend(15) and they both enjoyed it.

This was a great tour. We took it as a family with kids, parents and a grandparent. Everyone was able to keep up and the kids loved trying to guess what dessert was coming up next. This was a lot of fun and one of the highlights of our vacation. I highly recommend!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We ended up being a very small group and were able to learn so much about the places we visited. It is an area that is not typically part of most tours and vastly underrated. We tried so many delicious things. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and really went out of her way to make sure my daughter was having a great time. We will definitely take another tour.
