The buses are a real fun way to get around NYC and see everything! The crew is friendly and buses are nice! Easy on and off when your ready! Highly recommended!!! 😃

We had one day in NYC after a cruise. Purchased tickets on my phone and downloaded the app. We waited at the stop closest to the cruise port. We waited for two hours for a bus. A bus finally drove by and reluctantly picked us up, telling us this is a not a usable stop any more. Nowhere on their map was this mentioned. The driver was frustrated himself and complaining about the company. another lady waiting with us was telling us about her horrible experience after two days of being in the city and trying to use these buses. There is no refund so once you pay you are stuck. We were then dropped off at the starting point (Which is not stop 1) to wait in another long line. We waisted so much time waiting for buses. They were not coming every 15- 20 minutes like stated. When we did get off then the top was full where we needed to sit below or wait for another bus. The workers and drivers were all very rude and frustrated themselves. One driver was literally yelling at customers about sitting together when there were empty seats (this was down below) This was three large men and the bus driver threatened to throw them off if they didn't share the same seat. It was very strange. After only getting off and on twice we decided the bus was a total waste of time and money. We then used the subway the rest of the day.

We had to wait 1 and a half hours on for our night tour which ruined our night plans. As far as hop on hop off, not quite. Every time we ended up waiting for at least 30 minutes meanwhile other tour buses rolled on by. Then we wanted to do the statue of liberty ride but by the time our bus got to the stop we were to late. What a waste on money this was. The subway is far more efficient and cheaper.

Unfortunately, the customer’s service did not gave us the expected refund. They sent us to the “agent” ????!!!

The tour was wonderful, fun and very instructive, our guide Victor was very professional. It's worth it. ​

Darius and the night tour was phenomenal. Wish the day tours also had people to commentate as the bus recording versions are out of date and don’t all work.

Do not use this company. Use a different one. Our bus broke down and we were stuck for over an hour waiting on a “mechanic” then a replacement bus. No compensation for our wasted time and wasted tickets. They offered one free adult ticket to use within the next year. We had 3 people. And we are not returning in the next year. And if we did we would definitely use a different company. Customer service and policies suck.

Wow - this is a RIPOFF company of the highest degree!! I purchased a hop on/hop off bus tour ticket in New York City from one of the very nice street vendors. He assured me I could go and see the areas of interest with my ticket. I downloaded the app. I walked the couple blocks to the bus stop. I then proceeded to wait through THREE FULL buses coming by the stop with no room. There were over 25 additional tourists attempting to get on the buses with no room. Everyone was jostling for position, upset, and pushy. I waited an hour through multiple buses and wasted precious time not being able to go anywhere. I went back to the guy who sold me the ticket and he said "no problem, we can give you a refund". So I wrote to customer "service" who has just given me the runaround! They keep saying there are no refunds even though I never used the service and was told by multiple staff members (phone calls, discussions and originally emails where they asked multiple times for the same information on my ticket, which of course I sent) that they would/could provide a refund. At this point I'm out $60 and really annoyed I've spent so much time over the last month getting lied to, misled, and wasted MORE of my precious time. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE, THEY LIE AND ARE RIPOFF ARTISTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I had actually gotten any photos - which would have only happened had I actually gotten on a bus.

My experience with Top View was good! The price was also reasonable. Ruth the person that sold me the tickets was awesome. She was nice informative and readily available when I needed her. Jabari was also a great night tour host. Thanks!

So disappointing. Staff on buses were abrupt (borderline rude) and unhelpful. There was no sense of a community experience with tourists on board. The headphones distanced riders from each other and the shared experience of being in NYC. The recorded audio was boring, uninteresting, and uneven. I strongly recommend that NO ONE go in this tour with this company. Not worth it. The folks selling the tour tickets on the ground were far more engaging, helpful, and invested.

DON'T travel with this company if it is raining! We knew it might rain and were happy to pay for this hop on hop off bus but did not realise that if you sit inside ie down stairs, you have NO VIEW through the side windows. They had advertising hoardings across the windows so you cannot see out!!! How mad is that!!!!!

This tour is not recommended. We had a 4 day pass and every bus we went on (except one) had no audio working. We were also stranded on the bus in thunder and lightning due to some passengers refusing to sit down. The driver was a complete jobsworth and wouldn’t deal with the unruly passengers so we were stuck and soaked through. Now I’m home, I am ill and I completely blame TopView. I would not use them.

Big bus tours appear to be much better organised. Pushy street sales tactics by Top View, overcrowded buses meaning no room for waiting passengers at some stops. Unhelpful staff at bus stops, just interested in selling tickets but once they have your money they didn’t care. No air conditioning downstairs if top is full, even the driver complained about the heat! A lot of money for effectively a below standard bus service.

We did a last-minute trip & decided to do the night tour. Sarah was our guide and she's very funny & had so many quirky references. She needs to do a mural tour because she pointed out some really interesting murals. We also were pleasantly surprised that the tour goes to the Brooklyn Bridge. It was great fun!

Easy to book online and there always appears to be offers. Beware of an additional $15 per person in fees just before you pay online. Bus stops easy to find and the guides/drivers are really friendly. It takes a while to get away from midtown in peak times. One of our headphone sockets wasn’t working on 2 buses. These are provided but keep them with you. Liberty cruise - what we weren’t told is we had to pay an additional $20 per person if you wanted to sit on the top deck! That was not I dictated at anytime until we boarded the boat Downtown area extremely busy around 4pm so took a while due to traffic to get back uptown
