    Great tour from Andrea
Took the Lower East Side food tour, hosted by Andrea. The food was great (especially the Pickle Guys, which we went back to afterwards), and Andrea gave us great insights into the history of the Lower East Side area. Will take another Sidewalks tour when we next return to NY.

    Great way to
I learned so much about the history of the neighborhood, the city, and the food I got to try. All the places we visited were amazing! Finished the tour in the best way possible with Molly cupcakes. Our tour guide Ross was very knowledgeable, he took care of all the party and provided great insights of each of our stops.

    Fantastic!
Wonderful! Lydia was so friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The artichoke slice blew out doors off right outta the gate. She gave us choices of bars to try based on our mood and gave an excellent background of different GV landmarks. A wonderful 2 hours in Greenwich Village!!!

    LES Food Tour
We had a great time on our food tour of the Lower East Side! Even for us being local to NYC our group definitely agreed that we learned some new things about the history of the neighborhood and tried food that we hadn't heard of before. Our tour guide Ross was very knowledgable as well! Would definitely book with Sidewalk Food Tours again.

West Village Food Tour - June 16, 2023
West Village Food Tour - June 16, 2023 A wonderful, 3-hour tour. Informative and delicious! First of all, Josh in the office was more than helpful. I admit I made his job more difficult than necessary due to the multiple changes I needed to make. Josh was courteous and helpful and, in no way, did he give me impression of being bothered. Andrea was the tour guide for myself and two friends. Our tour group was small which I felt was a stroke of luck. Andrea sent an email to each of us the day before our tour which reminded us of the tour, our meeting spot and time. She also noted that the tour would begin promptly at the scheduled time. She also asked if we had any dietary restrictions, food allergies or questions. I replied to her email asking for suggestions for places to visit after our tour had concluded. She responded promptly and gave us some helpful suggestions. Andrea cheerfully met us at the predetermined time. After introductions, Andrea gave us a brief overview of what we were to see, answered our questions and confirmed that there were no food allergies she needed to be aware of. We stopped at Faicco's Italian Specialties where we sampled soppressata and rice balls, a.k.a. Arancini in front of Faicco's. Both were excellent. As we snacked, Andrea gave us a history of the place. Our next stop was Bleeker Street Pizza. Andrea gave us a brief history before going in. We ate slices of of Nona Maria pizza. Then the previous owner, Greg Greenwood, joined us. He gave us a detailed history of the restaurant, which his brother, Captain Douglas Greenwood, opened in 2004. Captain Greenwood tragically passed away from 9/11 illness and ownership passed to Greg, who recently sold the pizzeria, although he still works there on Fridays. The pizza was fantastic! I will definitely visit again. As we walked through the West Village, Andrea gave us more history of the neighborhood, which included a home that was only 9 feet wide and a former speakeasy!! Our third stop was Hudson Bagels. where we shared two delicious, traditional New York bagels with cream cheese. Our fourth stop was Galanga, a Thai restaurant. We each had a corn fritter and Chicken Satay. I loved the fritters but thought the chicken was a bit plain. The fifth restaurant was Mamoun's Falafel. My boring palate did not enjoy this treat, but the others did. Lastly we had a cupcake at Molly's Cupcakes, opened by a former school teacher and schoolhouse themed. We each ordered different cupcakes,

    Great time, even for locals!
All of the food was delicious (especially the pastrami at Katz's), and Lydia shared some really interesting history between the stops. I had a blast, and would highly recommend the experience, even for New Yorkers!

Adam was the best! Had a great day in the Village tasting pizza and the addition of a couple of drinks is perfect. Did not expect full slices or full pints...but this tour delivers. We kept a good pace but never felt rushed. We did not leave hungry. Would highly recommend anyone who wants to try some of the infamous pizza places in the village and get your learn on at the same time.

    Private Walking Tour was Perfect
Adam, our guide, was exceptional. He knew all the staff at each location, which made the experience fast and customized. Moreover, he was awesome with our two kids, ages 10 and 14. He made the trip fun for kids and adults alike.

We had a great tour and experience on the Lower West Side Food Tour. Our guide, Brendan, was knowledgeable and made the day both fun and enjoyable. We were able to have six tastings and were told some interesting stories about the west side of NY.

Jonathan was a fantastic tour guide and the food we had was delicious and representative of the history of the area. Lots of food was included, I was feeling quite full by the end and there were multiple opportunities to buy your own food along the way if you wanted more. Jonathan was great at explaining the storied history of every location along our tour in a fun and entertaining way. Truly a great experience and fantastic way to learn about the Lower East Side on any visit to the area!

Lydia was our tour guide and she did a great job! I took my 78 yr old mom who is not the fastest car on the street and she was able to keep up just fine. I don't know how far we walked but I did have 8k in steps on my watch by the time we were done! I really liked the broad selection of food and all of the info she gave us about the neighborhood. We had plenty to eat and at the next to the last stop (the falafel one) you could get a BIG half sandwich or just a falafel and I was so stuffed that I just had the falafel but it was nice that they had the option for bigger appetites

We had a GREAT time/tour with Adam! He was knowledgeable about the neighborhood and NYC. Personality above and beyond. It was a rainy Saturday morning and he made sure we were kept as dry as possible. He wanted to get to know us like we wanted to get to know him. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Having tried out many food tours in different countries this ends up on top of the list. The diversity available in the area is excellent, and so are the restaurants selected by the guide. Ross was also witty, friendly and had full insight of historical and fun facts in the area. Don’t miss this!

Matt was a brilliant host around our tour and kept us engaged, informed and well fed during the 3 hours. The walking was easy paced and took us across famous landmarks and discovered some secrets and gems around the quiet back street of the West Village. Food was great and bigger portions than I expected. Also a good mix across food types, ethnicity and flavours. Thanks Matt, this was a fantastic start to our New York holiday.

We went on a GREAT tour of the West Village with Jonathan - such a fun, insightful and tasty way to learn more about NYC. Great tour with Lydia, who was interesting and fun - she was a perfect blend of knowledgeable and easygoing. All the food was delicious, and the mix of foods was good. Lydia easily accommodated the vegetarians in our group. The portion sizes were just right - we walked away very satisfied. We picked up some great tips for places to go back to. Will try another tour with this company soon!
