About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- bunwin590 contributionsAmazing experience a must do.Where to start? We were lucky enough to have Jim Wahler as our guide. What a wonderful man. He is SO enthusiastic and his love for New York absolutely shines. He knows everything about every corner and, although it was quite a trip, I came away brimming with knowledge and a new appreciation of this wonderful city. I would say definitely do the walk if you are able before you decide on a hop on hop off bus. Thank you Jim for a truly wonderful experience. Felt like I was leaving a friend at the end of the day.Written September 20, 2024
- Voyage395800179690 contributionsan insider's view of a big cityJim and Alan led a great tour, giving us as much individual attention as they could, even with the size of the group. I especially appreciated Jim's transparency and frankness about his experiences as a NYC dweller.Written September 19, 2024
- Leprof150 contributionsGet outta here!Jimmy Hoffman (The Chicken Man) was nothing short of amazing: so personal and engaging with his knowledge of history and humor. We have visited both islands previously, but never "experienced" the Hoffman immersion!Written September 19, 2024
- JeanieV0 contributionsWorth every penny, every step, and every effort!Although long, our walking tour in a small group (11 persons) through Manhattan, to Staten Island, and back to the World Trade Center was worth every penny, every step and every effort! Cale, our intrepid and informed guide, was entertaining enough to make us forget our fatigue. We carried on! He assured me could find our way back to where we needed to be at the conclusion of the tour.Written September 19, 2024
- Eduardo A0 contributionsChola experience"We paid $135usd per couple to have an amazing experience and it was a bit boring, Maura our "guide" only took 15 minutes at first before boarding the ferry to talk and another 25 after getting off the ferry where she had us sitting on a bench while showing us a notebook... and her personal image was not good since her pants had them down like a chola during the whole tour showing her panties all the time and made us feel uncomfortable, as an image of the company Maura should have a better image. Although if you haven't seen the Statue ever, 100% recommended but only for a one-time experience.Written September 19, 2024
- 866JaneL0 contributionsA trip crossed off the bucket list! This was a highlight of our trip to NY. Our guide Ben knew the history of the statue of liberty inside out. He went at a nice relaxed pace which was welcome as it was over 80 degrees. Liberty Island wasn’t busy so we had great photo opportunities. The ferry experience is an experience but overall 5 stars from me.Written September 19, 2024

- M6875BIemmah0 contributionsTour guide Jon really knows his stuff. We arrived late after getting on the wrong subway train but Jon was super chilled and we were soon enjoying his stories and information with the rest of the group. He always asked if we had questions and answered them easily. He was very informative and really knows his stuff. He took some great pictures of our group which he sent onto anyone that wanted them. Overall the tour was value for money, interesting although very sad and included a ticket to go up one world trade centre, which had stunning views across the city.Written September 19, 2024

Saw some of the real Bronx and Queens as well as the tourist places we wanted to see. Jim just kept feeding us information all day. Very welcoming to everyone. Would certainly recommend. We would not normally do bus tours however this one was great.Written September 19, 2024

The Financial Crisis tour with guide Jonathan was very informative! Only 4 people had signed up for the tour, so our group was small, but that allowed everyone to hear easily and ask questions. Jonathan is VERY knowledgeable about Wall Street, Finance, and Financial Crises. I originally thought that this tour was only going to be about the crash of 2008, but learned that there have been many more crises over the years! The tour would be particularly interesting for someone who loves finance. It was also interesting to learn the history of Wall Street and see the various buildings. A couple of notes -- There are no places to sit during the tour, so participants will be on their feet the entire 2 hours. Wear comfortable shoes! Also, Jonathan did a great job in moving our group to shaded areas when making stops - much appreciated on a hot sunny day!

Booked a "Wall Street Financial Crisis Walking Tour" a month in advance. Then once we had already travelled to New York we had an email from them cancelling it the evening before the tour was scheduled. Avoid this company, they are unreliable with shocking customer service.

The talk was extremely interesting. Dana gave us a detailed and informative insight into the history of Wall Street and into the financial crises. The talk was also entertaining and she was able and ready to answer lots of questions. It was a great experience - thank you!

What a great tour. Honestly the best city walking tour I've ever had. Jared was an AMAZING tour guide. It was just my daughter and I, so essentially a private tour. My daughter is an economics major in her senior year, so she was extremely interested in the subjerct matter. Jared kept us totally engaged. He knows his stuff and was able to answer all of our questions, some of which took us on some tangents along the way.

We had a very good tour highlighting this area of the city. Our guide was very knowledgeable and informative.
We only had one other couple with us so it was almost a private tour.
If you are interested in the financial goings on of Wall Street this is a great tour.
My husband probably got more out of it than me, as he is a finance guy.

Informative, learned a good deal and kept our attention most of the time. The tour could’ve probably been shorter but overall it was good.

A great way to get to know Wall Street and the US financial business. It’s probably second to the Wolf of Wall Street, hahahaha.
I’ve read a lot about Financial District and the events that took place here, but it was a completely different experience to visit them in person. And the guide was very well informed, so I learned a lot of new, and curious facts. Some of the people complained later about way too much historical facts, but those place is full of history. It’s not like Leo DiCaprio snorting.
It was pretty cool to visit the NY Stock exchange, the Federal Reserve Bank and I got some cool pictures of the Charging bull. And it was a pretty cool tour of a cool place.
In short – if you’re working in the financial business and you’re interested in history and walks – that’s your tour.
