This was the most informative 2.5 hours of our week long New York trip. The tour guide (Andy) was very knowledgeable, not just about what we were looking at, but also about the geography and history of the city. We used some of his pointers during the rest of our visit.

I highly recommend this “Best of” tour. Your Citypass will cover the shorter 1.5 hour trip but you can upgrade for a small fee and the longer experience is worth the time and money. If you are visiting New York for the first time, this would make a great start and a nice overview of things to see and do.

I learned so much on the complete Manhattan tour (and I’ve lived in the city and visited several times)! Completely, thoroughly, enthusiastically recommend it, especially our guide David Parker, who was professional, entertaining, and a champion dad-joke teller. He was expert at pitching his tour to what had to be an incredibly broad range of guests; we really, really appreciated him. (Tip: we sprung for the “premier” seating, and the padded chairs were so worth it, 10/10, would recommend)

a fascinating trip all the way round Manhattan, which we didn't realise was possible.
The guy doing the commentary was warm and informative with loads of local detail to paint the picture.
Comfortable and warm on a wintery day, we sat for two and a half hours as we sailed under 22 bridges down the Hudson River, round the Battery Dock and past the Statue of Liberty, then up the East River to Harlem River passing the Yankee's stadium before coming back round to our starting point after dark with the city laid out in front of us in all it's sparkling evening glory!

Not worth the money at all. Seats are folding chairs on a boat, without any organization at all. There are not enough seats for everyone outside, groups and families have to split. Honestly, for the price this is just unacceptable On top of that, staff is very unfriendly and not helpful at all. Not recommended

I went on this cruise with a few friends that were visiting the city for the weekend and we had a great time! Even though I have lived in NYC for 5+ years I still learned a lot of new facts and loved getting to see the city from the water. Our tour guide was named Andy and he was wonderful!! He did such a great job of making the tour fun yet informative. I could listen to him talk all day. Everyone working here was so pleasant and kind.

We were also pleased to find out that there were seating options inside and outside so we were able to stay warm on the cold winter day. My only complaint is the price of the beverages - a water bottle was $5 - so make sure you pack your own drinks!! Overall I would definitely recommend!

It was one of those glorious fall days in NYC and I remember a recommendation by a friend to try this cruise. Easy on line ticket purchase, friend staff and a very knowledgable tour guide really made this a great 1.5 hour tour. It filled in a lot of landmarks with additional facts. Just a great tour on a great day.

Not too expensive and worth your money to see all the NY skyline, Statue of Liberty, and Brooklin (and some others) bridge. Not sure if it is worth paying more for the cushion seats as we spent some time on the upper deck, lower deck, and bow (as the best place to take photos). I was not impressed by the guide. We did not hear much about New York, how it came to be, who came there first, what part of the city developed first, how Central Park appeared in the middle of the city, what was the first bridge... and more. But we learned who purchased penthouses for $$$$$$ of $. Who cares. A similar tour in Chicago was three times better. Sorry, in 2.5 hours there was enough time to tell us more. As the tide was high, we had to return back the same way (could not go under one bridge), and the guide just recycled the same story. You could buy the food and drinks and we were allowed to get our water and juice.

It was definitely worth it to go around all of Manhattan. Most of the “touristy” stuff is on the shorter cruises but it was great to see all of the forests, etc. north of Central Park.

The tour guide “Dave” was outstanding and full of neat tidbits. This tour isn’t one of the options for the NYC Sightseeing Flex Pass, but by adding $15 each we were able to use the cruise as one of our attraction options.

It seemed like it was okay to bring your own water, so I would highly recommend that. The only negative is the quality of service at the concession. The staff seemed literally like the lowest common denominator available. Pricey too!

Even though we chose a cold, rainy day to take the Best of NYC cruise, it was one of our favorite experiences on this trip. Our tour guide, David was amazing! He gave a wonderful blend of historical, architectural, and pop cultural information about NYC. We thoroughly enjoyed it! I highly recommend this, especially for people who want to see a lot of iconic NYC sights with limited time to do individual tours

We took the Circle Line and enjoyed the whole cruise around the island of Manhattan. I particularly enjoyed seeing the northern parts of the island, as I had never seen that part of the city, parts of which are still wooded and natural. The tour guide was lively, interesting, and fabulous. He had many years of experience honing his act and could provide a lot of history and insights into the city.

We found the top deck outdoors a bit sunny and warm for our tastes, so we sat inside on the top deck.

There were a couple of downsides of our tour that kept this from being 5 stars. First, the premium tickets are essentially a scam. You get a cordoned off section of cushioned inside seats on the top deck, which doesn't offer much of a difference from the normal seats. Most people with premium tickets didn't sit in the premium section. Second, the snack bar downstairs had all kinds of problems, with stressed out staff and broken networks resulting in long waits and upset customers. At various times on the cruise, the staff had to admit defeat and tell folks they couldn't take any orders until the system worked again. Eventually, we did get a pizza and some drinks - which was just adequate.
