- tamm0300Fun!Sam is great and kept us all safe while having fun - enjoyed Balboa part and want to do more Segway tours now! :-)
- 628lori00Great experienceThe Segway your was great. We had a very good guide/instructor (Sam) We saw highlights of city area and lots of Balboa Park. I definitely recommend it for everyone.
- KimMc1500Segway is best way to tourThis was not our first time on a Segway. They are so much fun to drive around and you can cover so much more than walking. If you can ride a bike then you can Segway. Our San Diego tour was great. Guide was friendly and informative, showed us so many places, even on a busy Saturday. He took photos for us. I booked this very last minute but no issues at all, they sent confirmations and instructions about meeting time & place. I would definitely recommend and book again.
- 220brucew00Great ride through San Diego / Balboa ParkWe are seniors and enjoy Segway rides. This ride was enjoyable and we felt safe throughout the ride. I gave it a 4 rating instead of a 5 only because those toward the back of the group could not hear much of the ride leader's discussion as we rode along. On a previous Segway ride through Copenhagen, Denmark, our helmets had speakers in them connected to the ride leader with a microphone in his helmet. We could all hear everything as the leader described what we were seeing, when and where to ride to stay safe, and what was coming next. Recommend Nation Tours consider adding this relatively inexpensive technology to their helmets and get a "5" rating every time! Thanks to Sam for an enjoyable ride!!!
- pandoras19000The guide was a no show...Was disappointed because no one showed up. There was a miscommunication on their part as to who was going to be the tour guide. It worked out okay, we just rented scooters.
- tedcousens00Fun tourGreat tour! Great guide! Segways were really fun. We would recommend it for everybody and would do it again in a heartbeat.
- O5301BKjameso00San Diego SegwayBrilliant trip yesterday. First time on a Segway. Great guide, thank you Sam. Great trip, families enjoyed it.
- Excursion0560058812600Great experience!!!Fantastic tour. The Segways were easy to learn, Sam our tour guide was knowledgeable and we got to see a lot of the city. Highly recommend!
- mnguru100Segways are AWESOMEWe love doing segways. It is a great way to see a lot of a city. It was one of our first activities. It allowed us to get a feel for downtown San Diego AND Balboa Park. Our guide did a great job.
- nmmeek00Highly recommended!Sam was an excellent guide and we saw more of Balboa Park and San Diego than we would have ever seen on foot. Fun, interesting, informative, good tourist tips, highly recommended!
- jysesq00Excellent tour with incredible scenery and professional staffThis was one of the more memorable experiences that was fun for our whole family. The marina scenery is fantastic and our guide Sam was incredibly knowledgeable and fun. It was fun to ride the seguays.
- Travel3182623284400Segway downtown SD and Balboa ParkWonderful experience! We were nervous about managing a Segway but Sam was awesome. He was informative and very safety conscious. I highly recommend this tour early in your San Diego visit.
- 902kathrync00Super funThe Segways were so fun and Sam is a personable and informed tour guide. This is a good tour to do early in your stay. You’ll want to have time to come back to balboa park after learning all the gems that are there.
- kkfil9200Excellent ExcursionMy dad, husband, and I recently went on a Segway tour with Sam. He had so much patience helping us all (especially my dad) learn how to use the Segway. We then had an amazing tour where we were able to see so much of the city! 10/10 recommend!
- Jose_A_Muri00Absolutely the best way to see San Diego! This is absolutely the best way to see San Diego! The staff is very nice and friendly and a fun experience. You get a good tour of the city and can enjoy a great segway ride. My wife doesn't even know how to ride a bike and she picked up the segway in less that 5 mins. I highly recommend this is to anyone.

I honestly was looking forward to having the experience of a Segway. This was my 30th birthday that I had booked a tour for my friends and I since we were in San Diego for the weekend. We were told to be there 15 minutes prior to our start time, our start time was supposed to be 2 PM. We arrived at 1:45 PM and nobody was there, there was a sign at the door that stated they would be back at 2 PM. We waited until 2 PM when the tour guide finally came back to the office, by the time he went through eight different people to show them how to Segways worked it was already 2:25 PM. Our tour was supposed to be from 2 PM to 3:30 PM. We did not start until 2:25 PM and our tour ended at 3:15 PM. One of our friends ended up getting hurt on the Segway, she wasn’t able to control it. The tour guide Hue, was very rude to our friend and stated that she wasn’t paying attention when he was explaining the Segway to everyone. Our friend was very shaken up and asked if she could have a different Segway and he completely ignored her or the fact that she had just gotten hurt! We were not even taken to any of the sightseeing locations that the website stated, with the exception of maybe one or two. When we were done with our tour, the tour guide made me feel very offended by making a comment saying, this is as far as I trust you guys with the Segways. I called the office several times in hopes to talk to the owner of the company and never got a phone call back from anybody to explain to them the horrible experience we had with this tour. I usually never write reviews but I want people to know that this happened to us and can happen to anybody else, and I would hate for somebody to have a horrible experience.

Great time seeing some of San Diego’s best sites with a knowledgeable and fun tour guide aboard Segways! We had a blast zooming around the gas lamp district and embarcadero on these Segways (our first time). A little challenging at first (for us parents), but in no time we were zipping around from one location to the next. We went on a Sunday, which made getting there and scooting around pretty easy. Highly recommended and Seth was a fantastic tour guide!

Our family really loved the segway tour! We saw so many neat places and the guide did a great job. He took his time to show us how to use the segway and after about 5 minutes we were all feeling pretty comfortable. The guide had good knowledge of places and things to see around downtown that he pointed out to our group. It exceeded my expectations and was a fun way to see lots of things downtown! Would definitely recommend!

This tour was a highlight of our trip to Los Angeles and San Diego. None of the six of us in our family had ridden a Segway before but our guide, Sam, patiently taught each of us one by one before we headed out. It took a few minutes, but we all got the hang of it fairly quickly, even my petrified wife. Sam gave us an entertaining and fun tour of the Embarcadero and Gaslamp District. It was a unique and very fun introduction to San Diego.

Booked this tour having taken part in previous Segway Tours. Bit if a slow start with a no show for our Sunday booking. Ended up doing both tours the following Friday. Segways easy to use and guide Sam was entertaining and informative. We just have covered about 20 km during the two tours and got a detailed oversight of much of what San Diego has to offer. San Diego is surprisingly quiet during the day so getting around was safe and easy.

We cannot say enough good about Ivan, our Segway tour guide. From start to finish he was helpful and friendly for our whole family! Very knowledgeable about the history of Gaslamp area, gave us foot breaks, took photos, and we left not only talking about the tour but how nice and helpful our guide was too. Get him as your guide if you can!

Had a great time on the tour! We got to see a lot of the city and coast line and even learned about some local history. Sam was great and even told us of a couple places to grab good food.

Hugh was friendly, experienced, laid back but secretly watching and checking on everyone and an overall great host. The tour had a lot less information about the sites than some I have been on, and a lot more chat, but was fun. Plenty of open space to enjoy being on a Segway (maximum speed 12.5 mph), whereas on tours in other cities there has been strict enforcement of single file. My daughter and I enjoyed this a lot.

This was our first Segway tour and Hue did a great job. If you want to get a look at the city it is a great way to get around. We had a lot of fun and it was easy to use the Segways. Hue did a great job with showing us how to use it. Can’t wait for the next time we do this!!!

The Segway’s were super fun. Hugh took very good care of us and I felt very safe. We went around the waterfront Park and just happened upon a low rider show. We also could hear the opening Padres baseball game and saw a navel super jets flyover. Very kool. The whole tour took an hour and a half. Only thing missing would be some history about San Diego and some of the stuff we were seeing.
