About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- G3743BSdaniela0 contributionsMy Kids won’t stop talking about it 9 months later! We were in Southern California after a 5 year stay in China and I wanted my children to visit all of my memorable places I frequented when I was young. I had in fact never visited Legoland because I was already an adult and thought this place would only be good for children. It is actually a wonderful place for children. While we loved another huge attraction in Anaheim, Legoland is by far a better place for families with young children. First of all, during the summer, Southern California’s sunny weather can get brutal. It was no exception. However, when we traveled to Carlsbad, the weather was slightly overcast which kept the temperatures very cool until mid afternoon and then even after that, it was pleasant. The lines to ride the attractions are minimal. In the other theme park in Anaheim, you need at least two days to see all the rides. Here, you can see and do it all in one day. Every attraction is made especially for kids so we didn’t have to keep telling our eager children, no, you can’t get on this ride until you are older. It was a memorable day for our family and the memory continues on in our children’s imagination 9 months later.Written March 16, 2025

The one that are available shut down during the day , most concessions are closed. They are short staffed. The car place where ur child can drive a car is torn down, it was a Monday and no construction crews in sight. I used to live here 15 years ago and brought my daughter often, this place is a shell of what it used to be. So sad … limited facilities and the prices are as high as they ever been. - 113alfonsoj0 contributionsLegoland Visit Review – A Bit Disappointing This TimeWe usually have a fantastic time at Legoland, but this visit was a bit of a letdown. While the park still has its usual charm and fun attractions, there was a lot of construction going on, which made navigating the park more difficult than usual. One of the biggest issues was the lack of available restrooms due to the construction—this led to extra walking and longer waits, which wasn’t ideal, especially with kids in tow. Additionally, with so many areas blocked off, we found ourselves spending more time figuring out detours than actually enjoying the rides. It’s understandable that improvements are necessary, but it would have been nice if there were better signage or temporary solutions to help with the inconvenience. Overall, Legoland is still a great place for families, but if you’re planning a visit soon, be prepared for some challenges. Hopefully, once the construction is complete, it will be worth the temporary frustrations!Written March 9, 2025

Low crowds, perfect weather and we had Michael as our super star guide who showed us all the best kept secrets of the park. - SML6130 contributionsFun, positive kid-centered resort experience; awful reservation systemWe’re at the Legoland Castle hotel. We almost didn’t come because everything about the reservation process (online and phone) was so terribly frustrating and unpleasant. But from the moment we arrived, it was magic for my daughter (7). We spent the first day enjoying the hotel activities (pool, treasure hunt, exploring), but the highlight was the “shows” by Fair and Wren — not just the scripts which are so kid appropriate and fun, but “Fair” and “Wren” are masters at relating to kids with respect, fun, direct dialogue, and listening. Every parent should watch and learn. I never imagined what a positive, fun and encouraging experience an evening “hanging around” a hotel could be. I also need to call out the pool lifeguard staff for incredible professionalism. There were just a couple kids in the pool when we came, but they didn’t kick back to relax. They patrolled actively and with full awareness. Super impressive. Kudos to Legoland hotels. If you could just fix your reservation system (like: don’t try to get people to spend $15 on a “drivers license” when the ride is closed… don’t change prices every five minutes… give phone staff more training on positive customer support instead of being mean and insulting x3…), we’d love to come back.Written January 22, 2025
- joshmT5861EJ0 contributionsSave your money! Go to DisneyThis park is great for young children (under 10) or shorter kids (under 48”). Our kids weren’t able to enjoy many rides due to these limitations. Be advised: the driving ride is down but they will still sell you a driver’s license making activity. (Not worth it) Also, the website offers a souvenir cup with unlimited refills but each stand was either out of cups or they weren’t equipped with the scanner to process the voucher. I recommend, stay away from this scam! The aquarium was small but decent.Written January 14, 2025

My kiddos (16m and almost 4) had an absolute blast. I didn’t expect to stay the duration of the day, but we did! We spent about 4 hours doing legoland rides and lunch, 4 hours doing the waterpark and dinner, built some mini figurines and then finished the day at the aquarium. We never waited more than 15min for anything, most lines being a 5-10min wait.
My 16 month old wasn’t able to do many rides, but loved splashing around at the waterpark and LOVED the aquarium. My almost 4 year old loved everything, but I think the waterpark, Lego building and shopping for toys with grandma was her favorite.
I’d highly recommend if you have a kiddo over 40inches. I’ll probably wait to go back until my son is a but older so he can enjoy it too.
The one annoying thing was getting into the parking lot. It appeared people had way too much trouble scanning the pre paid parking QR codes to open the gate. Would be helpful if staff just manually scanned to move the lines along as well as have separate lines for pre paid / not yet paid.

First of all the service was fantastic. We first reserved our tickets on Saturday March 30, but with the rain the forecast we decided that Friday March, 29 would be a better time to go. I called up the support line and they changed our reservations easily and with a friendly attitude.
Since we have a child with a disability we were able to use the assisted access pass. It took a bit of a learning curve since it is a slightly different system than other theme parks we're used too. The AAP made our day so enjoyable. I also noticed how accommodating the model citizens are to families that have a person with a disability.
We have 2 kids under 7yrs old. There were a lot of activities for the them. Everywhere you go there is a playground. I also loved how there were some play areas within the ride queues, so kids can play then regroup with their family later in the queue.
Overall the family had a great time and the kids were tired out. We can't wait to go back again.

My son and I have platinum passes- they are a great value as they include parking! We try to go once a month but every time we come the park is always doing something special and fun to make each visit unique! This visit we enjoyed the fun scavenger hunt around miniland for a special holiday pop badge which we love to collect and wear proudly on lanyards when we are at the park. Don’t forget to bring your minifigs for trading, lots of stations around the park and employees with minifigs to trade as well! On this visit were treated some family members to the VIP tour and boy was it is amazing! They were blown away when Renate showed them around her very special office, showing some amazing builds for great photo ops, the brick moulding machine in action, treating them to a few pop badges to get them started on collecting. The VIP tour is totally worth is especially if you’re a big Lego fan like we all are! We loved the trivia for prizes in the rebuild the world- located in the back of the park next to the water park too.
When staying at the hotel, which we do a few times a year, we also recommend both the restaurants in the hotels, the Dragons Den and Skyline Cafe. They both have great menus with unique offerings and the food is always fresh and delicious- much better than you would expect for an amusement park! They are also the only places to get iced tea which I love. Their service is always great too! The hotel staff is great, the safe in the rooms is always such a treat for the kids in finding the code to open it for prizes. Rooms are clean and the themes very fun. Don’t expect 5 star hotel linens and mattresses as this hotel is geared toward kids, but the family room style with bunk beds and a separate space with TV for them is very convenient. The buffet breakfast included is fine for the kids but not great overall in terms of food taste, but there is a big variety. The regular restaurants are much better for lunch and dinner and the restaurants in the park are all good as well. Don’t miss the apple fries and churros! They are both sooo good!

I’d like to provide feedback on our recent visit and the Reserve and Ride system. We purchased the Deluxe pass, and were even willing to opt for the highest tier to avoid long lines, as we had grandkids who couldn’t ride the same attractions. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.
Our youngest granddaughter was just shy of 3 years old (by two days), taller and more coordinated than many kids who appeared to bypass age restrictions. However, she was still denied access to driving the car and several other rides, which was disheartening. We had planned the visit to celebrate her birthday and didn’t anticipate how limited the ride options would be for her age group.
Additionally, the Reserve and Ride system didn’t work as expected. Despite paying for the Deluxe pass, we ended up waiting longer while others in the regular line, who arrived after us, passed ahead because we had to wait a couple of minutes for our QR code to generate This made the system feel counterproductive and a total waste of money
The only redeeming part of our day was the wonderful staff, who were kind and helpful throughout our visit. Otherwise, we would have rated our experience much lower.
We hope you’ll consider this feedback to improve the experience for future visitors

Our trip to Legoland was so underwhelming that I feel compelled to write about it. Our kids enjoyed it because they are at the age of all things amusement park, but as an adult, Legoland was so disappointing for the amount of money we paid. We have been to many adventure parks, and this was by far the most mediocre park we have been to.
The best part were the actual Legos. The Legos are amazing- the statues, exhibits- everything made out of Legos was super impressive.
But the massive amounts of people, the lines for every ride- oh the lines- were unbearable.
Number 1 issue: We had the Reserve and Ride, and no one tells you that even though you have this pass, rides can become “full” and you can’t actually use the pass on the ride you want. Like what did we pay for?!?! Waste of money.
Number 2 issue: This park was so crowded (it was a Monday) we could have spent the day waiting in like three lines. We probably spent over an hour waiting in food lines alone. The line to get into the souvenir shop at the end of the day was 40 people deep waiting outside the shop. The ride lines were no less than 40 minutes while the longest wait time I saw was 90 minutes. If you have only one day at the park, you must get the Reserve and Ride in order to do everything.
Issue 3: food was subpar. One place for adult beverages and you couldn’t leave the restaurant area. Not a huge deal, but after waiting in line after line, it would have been nice to drink a beer in line.
Issue 4: rides were underwhelming. Short coasters. Not worth the insane wait times.
Issues 5-10. The lines. Just absolutely insane. Seriously. I’ve been to so many other parks and never waited in these types of lines while also having a fast pass of some sort. Sounds like first world problems, and it is, but it completely ruins the day standing in line.
We will not be back. Ever.

Hello,
Thank you for leaving us a review. We appreciate the feedback about our queues. Our reserve and ride service may show certain rides as full to maintain a short Reserve and Ride line to ensure guests both in Standby and Reserve and Ride have a shorter queueing experience and waiting is minimal for those with Reserve and Ride. We would like to hear more from your experience and how we can improve. Please email us directly at experience@legoland.com. We look forward to hearing from you.

Legoland has become too expensive for families. The adult price I paid was $144. This adult did not ride on rides, but simply brought another adult and two minors (who rode on a total of two rides) to enjoy Legoland. We lasted 5 hours. I paid an upgrade for myself and the older child (8 years old) to come back another day (they were visiting from NC) so he had an opportunity to see and do more as we were hindered by the crowd. That second day, we waited in long (wait time) lines because people who had paid an additional fee were placed on the rides as they showed up (A great example of "those who have money can buy their way up") while our wait time kept being extended. On top of the admission price, parking was $35 dollars, charged each day. Ridiculous amount. Another rip-off was the $30 for "driver's licenses" that used to be free when I brought my children to Legoland. I used to highly recommend Legoland to family and friends, but I will no longer do that. For the prices charged, the park should be upgraded, shiny and glowing. Faded lego builds throughout the park are not acceptable.

Every employee we interacted with was happy to help us and made the experience worthwhile. The park was great. I found the Castle hotel not worth the cost. The themed rooms and early entry enticed us to stay there but then only a small area of the park was open during the early entry, so it wasn’t worth the added cost. The scavenger hunt was anticlimactic and the ending “prize” in the safe was geared toward very small children. Why ask the kids ages if you are going to surprise 12 and 14 year old kids with Duplos? We couldn’t get dining the first evening so we had to either leave or order Ubereats, and then even after making a reservation for the morning we waited in a huge line of people with and without reservations. So what were the reservations for? It also lacked the personal experience at checkin. I felt a little lost because the information about dining and breakfast weren’t given at checkin. If we didn’t ask we wouldn’t have know about the breakfast reservations. I don’t consider the stay a good value.

The trip was amazing overall, but there are a few areas that could use some improvement. Most of these points are from an adult perspective, as my son likely thought it was a perfect day.
**Cheaper Parking:** While the parking fees are in line with other amusement parks, they could definitely be more affordable.
**Children’s Ticket Pricing:** Why are children’s tickets the same price as adult tickets? It seems unfair, considering the limited number of rides and attractions for younger kids.
**Park Closure Areas:** A large portion of Fun Land was closed for the construction of the new Galaxy Land. The former Police/Firefighter ride was the best – it was fun, unique, and something the whole family could enjoy. But the iconic driving ride was down, which was a huge disappointment. It felt like I paid full price for only part of the park. I wouldn’t have visited if I knew that a significant section was under construction.
**Detours Around the Park:** There were a lot of detours that forced us to take long, roundabout paths to get to certain areas. This wasn’t a big deal at first, but it became frustrating, especially when you have a child who needs to use the bathroom and you’re forced to take a longer route to get there.
**Ride Capacity Issues:** Many of the rides seemed to have empty seats, even though there were lines. For instance, on the Splash Battle ride, it had a four-person capacity, but they only let a family of two on, leaving seats vacant.
**Entertainment Disappointment:** Last time I visited, "Everything is Awesome" played in Fun Land, and there was a mini performance every hour. Sadly, that wasn’t the case today. I’m not sure if it was just an off day, but it was a letdown.
**Ride Audio Issues:** On the Ninjago ride, the audio cut out, and we were unsure if we were even still participating in the game.
**Maintenance Needed:** I noticed some models in need of repair. For example, the 'E' on the welcome sign had sharp edges, and my son hit his head on it. The tip of the Eiffel Tower was bent, and parts of the Eye of London had broken pieces.
**Early Closing Time:** My son loved the park, but why does it close so early? I understand early closures during the week, but 5 PM on a Friday seems too soon.
**Food Highlight:** On a positive note, the Granny Apple Fries were fantastic – please don’t ever change this! I had the churros con chocolate last time, and today’s fries were just as good.
Despite these issues, we had a great time, and my son is still talking about it. With a few adjustments, it could be even better!
I was unable to find an order number to upload my tickets to the Legoland app. I tried every number on the app or email, none of them worked. I had to bounce around on my phone to pull all our tickets together at the gate; they DID all work. (The one I bought last-minute from Groupon was 1 cent less, and uploaded onto Legoland’s app the first try.) Note that if you want to upgrade to a pass, only 2/3 the value of 3rd party ticket sellers will be applied to the upgrade; all $119 would have been credited if I’d bought through the Legoland app.

We went on a busy Halloween weekend and found it spotless and well-staffed. Staff were very kind, helpful, and friendly.
Definitely get the app, it was very helpful for the rides. We paid extra for the tickets that let you jump the line and the app lets you "reserve" a spot. You still have to stand in line, but it beats waiting 45 min for a 2 minute ride. One of the ride attendants said that the rides were breaking down all day, but they seemed to get them working again, so it wasn't an issue.
I think the food was better than SeaWorld. We had a cheesesteak and it was decent like a real restaurant cheesesteak.

Hi, how much does a ticket plus hotel package cost for two nights? And will it be cheaper to purchase them separately or together?
Written July 8, 2024
Honestly their prices change constantly. We did a package deal with Legoland Hotel/park for 2 days and got a good deal at Black Friday.

hello! Does this 1 day ticket include admission to LegoLand Amusement Park & the Water Park?
Written August 20, 2021
It depends you have to get the hopper. If you buy the ticket at the gate, let them know you like to go to the water park if you buy it online or third-party vendor such as AAA, Make sure the ticket says water park. But all tickets at the minimum will get you into the amusement park.

Christmas Eve/Day or New Years Eve/Day for a Legoland trip??? Shooting for less crowds but still experience the magic of the holidays. Thanks! :)

Lines have never been any longer than 30 to 45 minutes long and shorter time frame in Jan.

*Likely to sell out: Based on Viator’s booking data and information from the provider from the past 30 days, it seems likely this experience will sell out through Viator, a Tripadvisor company.
