    Hot day, but fabulous time!
Mark was a fantastic tour guide. We learned so much and have a new appreciation for Boston’s history. The tour highlight was Mark‘s personable nature with all of us. He was willing to answer questions related to the tour, as well as give practical tips and advice about Boston in general. He also provided bottles of water and sunscreen, and would absolutely not accept any gratuities!

Great experience and learned a lot!
I'm writing this review late. Its been almost a year since Mark gave me and my 2 teens a private walking tour of the freedom trail (excluding Bunker Hill and the Constitution). We had seen the USS Constitution ourselves before the tour began, and the Bunker Hill Monument was closed in 2021 because of Covid. My 13 year old was not very excited for the tour and didnt think Boston had any "history" that was interesting. I was a bit worried about his behavior on a guided tour because he will resort to saying how bored he is, etc...you know teens! Anyways, we met Mark at the Granary Burial Ground. I grew up in Boston and had done the Freedom Trail once in high school I think. My kids have lived in Vermont their whole lives and my oldest had learned some American History in school before the tour. Anyways, Mark was really great and did a fantastic job of keeping things moving and also interesting. My son was really engaged and asking questions and had a great time...we all did. It was nice for me to get a refresher on Boston History. We all thoroughly enjoyed the tour and I would highly recommend a tour with Mark. It was a great way to spend a few hours in Boston!

This was an excellent tour with so much interesting and well presented information provided in a very captivating way that made history come live. Mark is very thoughtful, thorough and knowledgeable. Wear good walking shoes, bring water and maybe a snack, and even though the tour is 3 to 4 hours, leave yourself an additional half hour at the end to visit the USS Constitution. What a beautiful ship Old Ironsides is and you might even get to see or take a photo with her Commander, the first female selected for the role. We enjoyed the tour tremendously and really appreciated the no gimmicks or bad jokes and no fishing for tips at the end. Mark was also very kind to stay a bit longer at the end and provide a ton of useful information for other places to visit.

History buffs will love this walking tour with Mark. The 3.5 hour plus tour was packed with interesting stories and vignettes. I came away with a much greater understanding of the events that contributed to the American Revolution. Mark brought to life lesser known characters and provided a deeper understanding to well known characters and events. The walk had plenty of comfort breaks and water was also available through our Sherpa (Mark). Highly recommend this walk.

Mark was absolutely incredible. He was extremely knowledgeable and did a wonderful job telling the story of the American Revolution from start to finish. His charismatic personality brought the tour group together and encouraged dialogue throughout the tour. We loved that his tour felt intimate and personal compared to some of the larger tours that we saw along the way. The highlight was ending in Charlestown and at the USS Constitution - it was the perfect patriotic end to a wonderful tour!

Great tour. Started off with an email with our guide's name. As it got closer I got an email with the clothing he would be wearing so we could find him. He was very kind and attentive to everyone's needs (water, sunscreen, bathroom breaks, and restaurant recommendations). His voice was loud enough for everyone to hear (but not too loud). He was very knowledgeable. The positive reviews about Mark are accurate! I would highly recommend this tour. Lots of information so definitely book it early so you can do it at the beginning of your stay in Boston if you're on vacation (I booked 2 weeks ahead and the only day available was my last day). You'll then have time to go back and spend more time art the places you'd like to. Well worth the money (and he's the only tour guide we had all week who would not accept a tip!).

My husband and I loved listening to Mark’s knowledgeable stories of the city of Boston. He was even able to answer some of my obscure questions about architectural details! Although we’ve been to Boston often, I now know more about the buildings and their historical significance.
Mark also brought us water and sunscreen! Thanks Mark for a great afternoon.

We have done a great deal of tours over the world. Mark has developed a fantastic tour that brings to life in great detail the Freedom Trail and how it relates to the birth of our great nation. He does this with great passion and it shows in every detail. On our tour day, the weather was challenging, and he was willing to reschedule or refunds us, if we so desired, the entire tour stuck with it, and we are glad we did!! It also showed that he cared, that our experience was what mattered. Thank you Mark, continue narrating… my teens said that they were able to relate the history lessons with the places, this is a big win for us, our history and our legacy! Thank you☺️

We have done many walking trips and we can say Mark's tour was the best for the following reasons:
Up front, he stated that he does not accept tips.
He keeps the tour small so all participants can easily stay together, and therefore do not have to rush or jokey for position to listen.
Since my husband is hard of hearing, Mark's enunciation and volume was perfect.
Mark's knowledge was extensive and informative; yet, because of his accommodating and conversational presentation, other members of the group shared their historical knowledge which added tremendously to the experience.
The length was just right, ending when the lunch crowd diminished

Mark has a gift to bring to life the people and their stories who were instrumental to the start of the American Revolution. You will learn more about the names you have learned in school and you will learn about people who are rarely mentioned. There are very few tours that include the whole freedom trail,. Mark and his tour are a not to be missed. Five stars and above.

Excellent experience, weaving a comprehensive yet throughly detailed overview of the American Revolution following the numerous historical sites along Boston’s Freedom Trail. Our guide, Mark was personable and extremely knowledgeable. Our group was deliberately small making each highlight along the trail a more immersive experience. Mark lead us on a journey that was entertaining and totally engaging. Highly recommended. So glad I had this experience, feel so lucky that Mark was our guide.

This was an excellent tour and Mark is a great tour guide! His knowledge is amazing! The group was small so that we could see and hear everything very well.(His speaking voice is great—I am hard of hearing and I could hear everything he said!) We heard many interesting, detailed stories of many characters involved in our American history. I definitely would recommend this tour for adults.
