    Fun in Boston!
Six of us spent a lovely and fun afternoon with Neal as he shared his beautiful city with us. As a former teacher, he was filled with information that he shared in a very entertaining manner. It was a perfect mix of walking and riding. Great tour!

Boston tour from Boston school teacher
Neal picked us up on time and at our place. He was outstanding. We consumed the whole four hours and then some. We did the walking tour of freedom trail where we learned quite a few items and misconceptions starting with Paul Revere house. We walked all around the north end and then went in the car and visited The USS Constitution, Bunker Hill neighborhood, Fenway Park, old North Church, and all around downtown. Neal knew alot about just about everything Boston history and building information. We had my sister in law, who was a boston resident and grew up here, indicated she did not hear anything that was not factual and learned alot. Neal was engaging, very friendly, and a retired boston school teacher. I highly recommend and would take the tour again

Fabulous tour of Boston. Great experience.!
Knowledgeable, sophisticated, entertaining, personable, responsive, thoughtful And thorough tour of Boston. Neal covers so much more territory with running commentary than you could possibly do walking or on a bus. Yet it’s not too much or presented in a way that’s confusing about Boston and history. Very highly recommended.

Great experience ! A true treat.
It’s so nice to have a true local share the city they love. We enjoyed 4 hours plus of history, architecture, culture and all the little nuances that you only get with a a local. Worth the time and investment!

    Time travel in Boston
We had one day in Boston on a 13 day cruise and Neal made this port and tour our favorite. So much history told by an intelligent and amusing guide, brought old Boston to life. Neal gave us the real history and he has visual aids too, which helped greatly for some of us to see the growth of Boston. I highly recommend this tour if you love history, food, sports (Fenway park) and so much more. I was fascinated by the underground highway. We’ve already planned for next year, as there is so much more to see. We loved our tour and thank you Neal for some great memories!

Great way to get to know Boston.
After two and a half hours with Neil I felt like I could show people around Boston. It was unusual to stay in the car the whole time but that was our guide catering to the needs of my grumpy friendy who refuses to walk. History, stories, anecdotes and puns provided were perfect. I now even know Teresa Heinz‘ license plate number. Great job, really enjoyed the ride.

    Best 4 hours in Boston
Neal did an amazing job showing us around Boston’s Hot Spots. The fact that he was a history teacher made it even better. If you can only do one tour, this is the one I would recommend.

    Excellent tour of Salem!
April is an experienced, engaging tour guide. I appreciated her local perspective on the Salem Witch Trials, and learning about Salem’s rich history that had nothing to do with witches. Our group of 30 had a great time touring Salem with April!

Great private tour for first time visitors.
We wanted a comprehensive private tour of Boston for first time visitors, preferably from a local. We got everything we’d hoped for from Neal (plus an excellent knowledge of history and even a sense of humor!).

10 Stars for April the Salem Guide
April- our Salem Guide- was a complete inspiration. She was lively and expressive. What I most appreciated was how she conveyed Salem's history as multi-dimensional. She didn't demonize any one particular person or group when it came to discussing the uglier parts of Salem's history. She helped us understand the context behind the culture and attitudes of the time. 10 stars! **********

    Salem Tour Experience
I was a little skeptical of what a Witch Tour in Salem might be, but April was an amazing guide that made the tour engaging and interesting. I learned so much about Salem’s history beyond just the Witch Trials. I particularly appreciated the care with which she presented the history making sure that we understood perspective and focusing on the facts rather than the common stories/myths. April was a delightful guide that o would highly recommend working with to anyone visiting Salem.

    Highly recommend this tour!
By far the best part of our trip to Boston was our tour with Neal! He has a vast knowledge of the city and can take you where the larger tours can’t go! He is happy to tailor your trip however you like and was happy to make requested stops (like our little side trip to grab some coffee!) He was also happy to answer all our questions, and best of all was just a fun guy to spend the day with! We really can’t recommend this tour more!

Neal is fantastic! My husband and I were treated to a three hour immersion into Boston history, both a learning experience and high entertainment. I’m so happy we went with this personalized and interactive tour group. It was the highlight of our week.

Our family had a wonderful time on our tour. Neal, our guide was the BEST! The tour was both informative and enjoyable. I asked if we could let us know where there is a good bakery and he drove us there. I was so happy to be to be able to get very delicious treats!

We really enjoyed getting to know Boston with Neal! He connected us not only with Boston’s history, but with its culture and, importantly, with its restaurants and pastries! Neal is a teacher with a passion for history and his home town, excellent tour guide. Highly recommended!

We had a great private tour with Tracy seeing and hearing about Boston's Freedom Trail. She was very experienced as a guide of the city and gave us some great tips about what to do during our stay.

Uber pick up was late and we arrived 10 min late. Tour was gone. I had called 15 min before our arrival time and left a message with the contact number. When we arrived and could not find anyone, I found another guide number and left message, as well as a second message with Neil - the contact number. Finally called Viator and talked w a human who tried contacting Neil - also to no avail, so asked for refund - pending. So we bought another, lesser tour. Overall, yes we were late but I doubt we the first group of 5 to be late and the tour company needs a mechanism for this situation. Of course, it’s off season in Boston with hardly any tourists (July 16, 2022).
